Okay, question for you from a music n00b. If the keys are labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, G. What are the black keys for? What is the black key between C and D, for example, called? I assume they're the notes "halfway" between the normal notes (what musicians call "sharps"). But if so, why are there no black keys between E and F and between B and C. If I can play the note halfway between C and D, why am I not allowed to play the note halfway between E and F or halfway between B and C. I want to play *_ALL_* the notes that exist!!!
This is glorious, I've been looking for "what's the difference between flats and sharps?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Penaycer Rudimentary Preponderance - (do a google search ) ? It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to play the piano easily without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my buddy got cool results with it.
Thats my issue right now while I can play a song just fine I've been hitting the wrong notes at times & I think I might be focusing too much on my fingers when I play
4:00 Best way to remember is when there’s three black keys, the white key to the left is F like Fork. When there are two black keys, the white key to the left is C like Chopsticks.
Hey man, I was on the hunt for new notation software and your video came up first for some reason. Quite frankly this is awesome, there is far too much of the "assumed knowledge" attidude in this space. Sometimes it's good to remember that people need to start from somewhere, and that place isn't always "here is your favourite song, hope you don't develop any bad habits". Lovely work man, keep it up!
finally ...this is what I was looking for. not that I have the desire to learn the piano (which I wish I had yrs ago). just an old school drummer w/desire to train the ol ears to help recognise notes for charting. THX
Hello, I've seen some of your tutorials. I'd like to know what program or software you use to write notes on the staff? Looks pretty easy to use. Thanks!
Tim, how can I play the right notes without looking at them. I find it hard to keep looking from the music sheet and my fingers at the same time. It makes the song so slow. Thank you so much for the lessons.
This something I actually had learn how to teach this because this has been common sense to me for as long as I remember. Don't even remember how I learned it myself.
I haven't found a video where its explained witch key to press. Lets say für Elise it says you have to press for example c, then there's a lot of keys that are named c, how do I know witch one to press??;)
You're too old to become a top tier (top 2%) piano player, but you can still learn how to play the piano with finess... you're never too old to learn, however, it is very hard to completely master something if you start late in life
That's not TRUE!!! actually it's awesome to learn something new I suggest to give it a try you'll see it's a lot o fun don't give up try . You can see how easy the tutorial is is fun must of the stuff I know I learned it on my own and I still learning my friend.
ANIME Navit same lmao but i had piano lessons when I was 6-7 yo then coming back at it at 13yo then stopped coz I was lazy. now I regret everything! I have to start from 0 again

Just keep practicing. Trust me
If you hold your hands right over the keys you still must feel the pattern and paticular the absence of black keys in some places.

Am I too old(26) to be learning piano?
They say you need to learn when you were a teen to master piano.
I feel like I am too late to learn piano.
never too old
You are definitely not too old to get good at piano. I would give it a shot.
