My favorite part of Rockbox is that you can create and edit playlists, add and delete files from the playlists, erase files from device, ALL THIS from your device, not needing a computer. Sound settings are awesome, you can adjust bass, treble and pitch while playing a song. Also, you can add your own background images to both, "while playing screen (WPS)" and the main background image for the custom theme! Currently I am using an ipod based custom theme, it has the same ipod software functionality but with custom background images of my own. I grabbed several features from several custom themes and made my favorite custom theme. I totally recommend Rockbox.
This time I turned on the notifications! This was entertaining, I just enjoy watching your content even if I don't own an iPod (yet). The video was straight to the point and easy to follow. Keep it up!
Lol, I was thinking of installing rockbox on my 4th gen ipod once it comes in and I was looking for videos on how to install it, then I found your video and didn't even realize you're the Reuben who got the ipod from DankPods give away until I saw the Wil loves me engraving. Congrats on getting it and great video
Awesome video, I downloaded Rockbox onto my 5.5 gen from elite obsolete electronics but cannot boot into Rockbox from the apple os. I've tried the MENU+SELECT method but it doesn't do anything. Any help would be appreciated.
So I can’t access my iTunes library to download music is what your saying? I’m not super great with this type of stuff but I wanna learn so I can start doing Rock Box. So I can’t use iTunes, then where am I downloading the music from?
I spent 5 hours selecting/adding music through itunes ,switched to over to rockbox and no sign of the music!!is there a way to find it?or do i have to redo iit all over agian and add it through windows to the ipod?
Hey. If I want to use my iPod classic dual, do I need to add all music files twice? (Once via iTunes and once via drag&drop) to be received by either firmware? Or is one of the ways working for both?
Can I still sync with iTunes on the normal iPod Classic operating system, and will all the built in games be deleted from the main iPod Classic OS if I do this? Just wondering before I install Rockbox on my iPod Classic 6th Gen. One last question, can I install cracked click wheel games with this firmware?
(sorry for bad english) Sometimes, you need to install bootloader and the whole system separately. When I started, an problem with ipod•rockbox file appeared. But then, I installed ONLY system (without bootloader) and it works. I've done it on my super-scratched iPod classic 6gen
Michael Manzanares original hard drive or have you flash modded it? If original it’s probably had it’s day. Edit: I’d flash mod whether it’s working or not. The benefits are a no brainer.
About time someone covered this!
hi dankpods
OH MA GAD ITS TEH DANKPODS
Hello father

You need your music as files to add them to your rockbox library
You can use the files you downloaded from iTunes (should be in your Music\iTunes Library folder).
I tried this and now my laptop will not recognize the iPod nor will iTunes....Mad as crap!
I followed the video and in the end it doesn't start rockbox saying "no partition found", how can I solve it?

No, Rockbox should automatically be able to view all songs on iPod OS

Does anyone know if rockbox works with the iflash adapters? I've heard there are problems
Never had a problem personally
