Hey man. I think your sound is improving with each release. This new single is my favorite from you guys to date, and I was already a huge fan.

I believe in this album they are focusing more on production/ atmosphere…and they are being more intricate with their sounds….their self titled was more aggressive, but so far this new album is sounding more thought out and more deeper.

@@nehemiasgonzalez6989I've always said that each album has focused on something completely different and I love them for that

It’s crazy to me that people aren’t into this song. Erra are more than just a bunch of breakdowns and riffs and screams. They’ve always had that beautiful melodic element to their music and this leans more into that, but without abandoning the heavy. This is already becoming one of my favorite songs by them alongside any of the heaviest songs they’ve ever put out

Lunar halo and electric twilight was my least favourite songs from their self titled... except these two , entire album was on repeat every single day... especially those deluxe songs...
This new direction looks more promising than ever...

@@barbod4777 Not a huge fan of Electric Twilight but Lunar Halo imo may be the best song they've done since Dementia.

Totally with ya, Erik! Loving this friggin' song, gets better with every spin, it's incredible. Earworm really!! Loving it! 😍
Others might think it's tad bit too laidback except for the heavy breakdown further down..

Love your absolute honesty Drew. Maybe it’s because ERRA have been my fav/most listened to band for years now. But I appreciate you giving your genuine opinion. I’ve been blown away by these last two singles because they’ve shown incredible range. I’m so stoked for this album. I hope when it gets here in April, there’ll be more songs for you. Cheers mate.

ERRA is my favorite band ever. I have to be honest the new singles were kinda scaring me. I didn’t like pale Iris or cure really at all, but I have to say I really love this song. This track is keeping me hopeful that the new album much like the self titled will be amazing. I miss the riffs dearly, I miss the feeling of listening to their songs and immediately wanting to learn them on guitar. But hopefully we get a return to form with the non singles. I miss old ERRA 😢

The fact that a lot of people these days think that progressive metal, prog metal, metalcore so on and so forth always needs to be heavy. And anything less than straight 1's and 0's isn't good enough. I've seen so many reaction channels just downsize a band due to the fact that they have the least bit of singing in their music. I'm not saying you're one of them. However, reading the chat above in your video kind of frustrates me. ERRA is one of the best bands right now, and I absolutely have this song stuck in my head. It's amazing in every aspect. Mainly because I'd like to think I'm more diverse with the type of music I listen to than most people out there. So, for me I don't have expectations when a band releases a song. I just wish people would stop with the expectations when an artist releases music, expecting it to be one thing or another.

  • @Michaelrack94

A lot of people saying this feels like Ghost Atlas featuring JT but fail to realize Ghost atlas is literally Jesse and Alex writing wise, while erra is them plus jt. So it’s bound to have carrying over elements, especially if both projects wrote albums at a similar time in their lives. I love when they experiment with their more melodic side, yes I miss the technical guitar solos and everything but there’s an itch for this sound too. I hope there’s still more diverse soundscape to explore with the rest of this album that’ll hit for everyone in someway.

Anyone just wanting insane shreddyness will obviously be disappointed with this track. Jesse set that bar and some will want him to keep pushing it. But obviously these new songs are not for that as much. I'm loving it so far though. The tones are unreal. Production is fantastic and the little nuances are so intricate and beautiful. Blue Reverie may even have my new favorite breakdown from them. The sound design is so cool on it.

Definitely my favorite track so far for this album. The more moody metalcore has been what catches me lately such as the New While She Sleeps track. My favorite song off of Erras last album was probably Shadow Autonomous. So it makes sense why I like this so much

You have to take into account, the last album, Erra, was perfection, our standards are so high and spoiled cause they did such an amazing job giving us one of the best albums for this genre ever. While I also struggled to get into the first 2 singles, I actually enjoyed this song a lot more and I'm loving the direction they're taking, I'm letting them cook cause I know the new album is going to deliver!

Dude! I was just thinking the same thing. It reminded me of Alan being back in the group. The melodic tracks had the place to break up the technicality. Sometimes space provides that opportunity to recover and prepare for the finale.
It’ll be interesting to see what the rest of the album is like. Sequencing is key.

I know that JT will appreciate your honest opinion Drew, over faking it for hype points or whatever, hes that kind of guy.
Personally I still liked the song, and the previous singles. And I'm always hyped for new erra music.
I'm always gonna hold Impulse and Augment in special regards due to Jesses vocals and the harsh and raw nature of the sound they had back then, and then the same with Drift and parts of Neon in regards to the absolute mind melting guitarwork, as you showcased with the Breach Playthrough (love that video).
loved the video regardless :) keep it up drewwy

It feels like a post-binge musical hangover for me. Theres nothing wrong with the singles, in fact its music I enjoy listen to. But some subconscious part of me is desiring something from Erra songs that feels lacking here and I can't muster the excitement for these songs right now.
My prediction for their album is I'll listen to it once twice, put it down, then sometime later when I get over myself I'll listen to it again and it'll be my favorite album for a month

For me it feels like the mixing and mastering on this album are what is robbing its potential. It feels so damn squashed, there’s no impact from the drums or anything. So moments I feel like should hit end up not hitting and it never pays off.

As a huge Erra fan, top 10 on my all-time Spotify listens, I'm really disappointed by all the singles they've released leading up to this album. It's just... boring to me. It feels like a bunch of 0s, weird harmonics, and overly poppy chorus'. I have no problem with chorus', or 0s, but these are just so bland IMO. Their last record was killer. Songs like Snowblood, Gungrave, House of Glass, Vanish Canvas, Scorpion Hymn.. all insanely good. I truly hope some tracks on the new record are more my style, but I'm not feeling confident after what they've put out so far.
