This is what you will see when a cop gets shot at or shot in general. If it were a civilian getting shot you would be lucky to even get one to respond in an adequate time.
Life Talk - Upper Midwest Bullshit I spend every day working in the hood in Chicago. Any call of shots fired even just an unconfirmed random 911 caller saying they "heard some shots outside" whatsoever and there's 10-15 of them FLYING up and down every street and alley in the neighborhood within 3 minutes max. They'll spend the next half hour at least searching up and down the area.
I can confirm blackhawks comment. white or black you're not spared questions. I work utility in all parts of chicago and its suburbs, every time i hear shots fired, i get out of there. not for my safety, but to avoid the flurry of cops that will swarm me, not because they think im the suspect, but because they think i'll provide better info than 90% of the people on that block. Then i deal with even more problems because i conceal while on the job and one of them, usually the supervisor wants to confiscate my firearm. I have a TEAM of lawyers specifically for firearm and self defense related events in chicago. chicago is not the place you want to work utility or public work. I was told that when concealing, 10% of people will brandish a firearm, and only 5% of that will ever fire it. I've had to brandish nearly 10 times in the last 5 years working south side. thankfully haven't had to shoot. most of the junkies just walk away. YES literally turn around and walk away like they never saw me.
I have seen some other Chicago cops in trouble videos. Like this one , they are there to help out in minutes. Very cool. Has to make you feel a little better as a cop in a war zone

Excellent response to a fellow officers being shot. Nice to see the boys in blue taking care of their own. With that said, the radio traffic was horrific. I understand emotions and stress is high but when your yelling and screaming into the radio, it makes understanding information difficult.
