Switching to the discord feed when you want to give a remote guest a full shot is a really good solution, vs punching in a camera to the video wall.

I remember buying zone of the Enders for the MGS2 demo disc! I played the tanker chapter soooo many times and loved it. I was pleasantly surprised to see how kickass zone of the Enders was when I got around to playing that a week or 2 later
Bless said they’re not passionate about PSVR2 and not selling it, when the same could easily be said for Ragnorak. PlayStation’s marketing in general has pivoted in recent years from doing what fans love to only doing what’s most efficient. One thing I’d like to point out though was how proudly they put the $550 price right into the headline of their blog, unlike the $200 price for the Dual Sense Edge. You guys also obsess over the 11 games while completely forgetting about the much bigger ones showcased in shows: No Man’s Sky, Village, RE4, Horizon, Firewall Ultra, Saints and Sinners, etc.

Exactly I’d rather he did that and get the backlash he deserves than give a 5 but then have so much bad to say. He’d rather say Elden ring is a better game. It’s so crazy they didn’t talk about all of that games flaws but him and Andy had so much this game did “wrong” it’s a good thing I do t listen for opinions only news.

Be thankful for once that blessing doesn’t fall onto the bandwagon of saying every single big game release is the sole best experience they’ve ever had, 10/10 for everything. Remember that one of Kinda Funny’s other podcasts has called this year’s call of duty release “the best call of duty story ever.” At least blessing has some taste and style instead of just blind bandwagoning

It’s funny cause my favorite demo memory was playing the OG God of War demo that came in a PlayStation magazine! I was not allowed to play rated M games at the time so I felt extra bad ass playing that one.
Tobal No. 1 for PS One came with a Final Fantasy 7 demo and I 100% bought it just for that. What a time to be alive.
It was a different time. I remember buying the first PSM magazine at my local grocery store. It had all the FF7 characters on the cover. It had a guide in it for the mission in the game. I read it like a 100 times then told my mom I wanted it for my birthday! I subscribe to the PSM magazine and I would get so many demo discs from that magazine. So dope.

Aah the demo disc question brings back memories. In 2001 I was a lapsed gamer, my parents weren't sure what to get me for Christmas so on their whim I ended up with a PS2 and GTA3. I was 17 at the time and more interested in music and going to gigs so It still didn't bring me back properly. Sometime in 2002 there was an official playstation magazine that had a disc with both Timesplitters 2 and Hitman 2 on it. I played the hell out of that until both games were released. I've never really been lapsed since and it's crazy to think how different things might have been if my rents hadn't bought that PS2.

I had a demo disk that came with my PS1: Legacy of Kayne, Ape Escape, Metal Gear Solid 1, MidEvil 2…I want to say Legend of Dragoon and I think Siphon Filter. Played the shit out of Ape Escape.
I played the SOCOM demo on psp so much and nfl blitz on Xbox too.
Is Greg’s apple watch face MGS themed? It looked like a dope MGS1 (goat) codec type scheme.
Going off of Janet's comments about the MGS2 demo shipping copies of ZoE, Square-Enix did a similar thing a few years back and put the FF15 demo on copies of FF0. i dont know how many copies of FF0 were sold in the end but i don't know anyone that bought it specifically for FF0

Shout out to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD which came with the Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae demo which is 100% the reason I bought Type-0. Turns out Type-0 is decent.
Excited to experience this games story. It sounds like they addressed a lot of the criticisms they got from 2018 with the the small enemy variety but still kinda has the repetitive combat, just not as bad as 2018’s. 2018 was still fantastic despite some of its problems. Probably won’t watch anymore GoW content until I finish Ragnarok and hopefully can avoid spoilers
I really don’t get the repetitive combat comment as all action games have a set amount of moves that you unlock as you go. Sounds like a weird criticism when you consider said the combat was “amazing” on games daily 🧐

Blessing saying it’s amazing but saying it started to drag I swear he doesn’t like PlayStation. Any nice comment is through gritted teeth and he actually said he can’t wait to say more bad things in the spoiler cast which is very strange for one if the best games ever made. I tried to play Elden ring again since I’ve already completed it and the frame pacing is so bad it doesn’t feel like it’s 60fps and this is the game they say Ragnarok is competing with? I like the magic but for blessing to say that combats better I dunno how he can say it with a straight face. You have very limited attacks and movement and it feels like the game wants you to be easy to hit with all the homing attacks enemy’s have.
@@FILTHYGEARSMUSIC I’m comparing it to DMC and Bayo. The end of 2018 I felt I was just doing the same combos over and over again because it was the most efficient. It never gave me a reason to switch it up. I beat all the Valkyries just learning their simple patterns and doing the same combo over and over because it did the most damage, and I beat the game on Hard. Most fans of character action games have the same complaints for 2018 and that was the lack of enemy variety and combo paths. Like what Bless said it’s just going through the motions. Glad they fixed the enemy variety and it seems they’ve added a few more combos so that’s good. Weird comment since I said I still really liked the game and the combat is fine, it just gets repetitive.
Also I’ve never left a comment saying 2018’s or this games combat looked amazing, I said that of FF16 but I really have no idea what you’re talking about. Weird reply

Janet said VR’s not likely to have the best experiences, when IGN’s head of Xbox constantly states Alyx as being the best game of the last 5 years and needs to come to PSVR2. It’s a game that’s proven to be $1,500 good on PC, let alone $550. And you’re always gonna have the tether regardless of the specs/price so that’s a moot point that comes from a lack of understanding. When you say if PSVR2 will move the needle regardless if it has the best experiences, who cares? PSVR2’s merit isn’t reliant on mainstream adoption, and even if you had a cheap/crappy $200 headset, you would only maybe penetrate a quarter of PlayStation users at the cost of severe compromise, so who cares?
And Greg if Iron Man was on PSVR2 you could totally have the same freedom of movement as Quest, the thin cable isn’t intrusive at all and PSVR2 doesn’t have any of the tracking limitations PSVR1 had.

What do the online hosts see? Is there a static camera that is connected to zoom or whatever?
I MOSTLY see the shots you see actually. So when it's a wide shot I see all of that, when the camera is just one Greg or Bless that's all I see, and when gameplay comes up I see that with us in the corner. The ONLY exception is sometimes if Barrett is doing something behind the scenes like resizing my window on the fly or setting up an asset I might not be able to see what's going on live but that's it.
So It actually feels the same as being on a regular call. The only exception is I feel like it's a little more awkward if i look off in directions but tbh idk how much y'all even care about that i just feel self conscious about where my eyes are pointing.

Because they change the parameters for games and services depending on if it’s Xbox or PlayStation. Remember they still call gamepass the best deal in gaming even though Phil hasn’t delivered these first party games he promised that would have potentially made it a good deal. We got outrider level games instead that they hype and make deals to stream which are then forgotten about and they take the money and buy smoke machines 😂. So many conflicts of interest I don’t watch these guys for factual statements just the occasional entertainment and to see how far they will really go to make Xbox seem better than it is

I think there's a good chance Ragnarok is a lot better than 2018. I say this because 2018 does something another game called Deus Ex Mankind Divided does, something a lot of people HATED, even though I loved it. Deus Ex MD pretty much focuses on it's small scale story while also opening up sub plots and even greater plots behind it and it just teases you with secret organizations, new world order plans and stuff but it never goes there during the game, pretty much expanding the universe and to explore later in a sequel. I feel like GoW 2018 does the same thing, the game is 100% about Baldur and Freya but they keep teasing you talking about Thor, Odin, the other realms on the table and stuff.
Ragnarok is the game in which we'll meet and fight all the characters we actually wanted to meet and fight in 2018.

Can anybody remember the name of this game I used to be addicted to on demo disk....
Basically it was 4 players in a square room, the 4 walls of the room were different colors and the objective would be to get/controll a ball, kick these arrows on the sides of the room to flip the room until you were on your color wall and then dunk the ball to score without getting killed by the other players lol.

the way blessing described how he played as "using these two runic attacks, switching weapons, using these two runic effects, then using atreus' runic attack" it sounds like he decided to play it in a less creative and repetitive way. In 2018, i used the runic attacks that enhance the combat instead of taking it away. Blessing Of The Frost for example enhances your axe instead of doing a preset animation.
Bro, if youre playing GTA V... and you have an arsenal of weapons... but just resort to using an rpg for every gun fight... no shit its going to get kinda repetitive lol
Listen he has clearly set out to make out of ps games are great but not as great as everyone thinks. He has had problems with that last 4 exclusives at least! He will then ignore the same problems for worse games eg Elden ring which is a game where I didn’t know the story the whole way though even after talking to everyone in the game. It has so few actual details yet manages to be convoluted at the same time but he has problems with Ragnaroks pacing? Elden ring where you had to literally go to certain places again and to grind and farm just to be able to upgrade your weapons and character with the games frame pacing making it seem closer to 30 than 60fps? He said he can’t wait for the spoiler cast so he can say all the bad things. Does that sound like an impartial person that just wants to talk gaming? I don’t think he or any of them should be using that platform to basically lie and gain advantage with other companies, they all do it I have too many examples.
I just think With a game like God of War and Nier Automata, the combat is only as stale as you make it. Both these games have light and heavy attacks mapped over 2 buttons.. but if you actually take the time to learn, boy do those 2 buttons do an awful lot. You can hold, tap, delay, roll, switch weapons and do unique attacks\animations. 2 of my favorite combat systems because they do so much with 2 buttons, it takes skill and finesse to do them all, makes me feel like a bad ass compeser while i'm fighting :p. So ya, i just think if you're only using 1 weapon and spamming light and heavy attacks, it'll get boring, mix it up and learn the systems! #cheers

Exactly I feel like blessing makes excuses to not like ps games. To say you prefer Elden ring combat is wild as it’s way more limited to the build you make. Also they thought so much of Elden ring when it has way more problems than what they described in Ragnarok. They even went back to re review the first GOW just so they could say bad things about it. I used to think it was weird how they talk about ps games as if they have a higher set of standards to reach to be called great. Now I realise they are dedicated to making Xbox sound better any way they can. Listen to the difference to how the Xbox guys talk on their shows, they make every excuse under the sun to praise Xbox and it’s games. Every gamepass game is a win but the ps I love you crowd talk about gamepass being the best deal even though GP doesn’t deliver the first party day and date games that Phil promised and talk about ps plus like it’s bad for delivering mostly the same games just not day and date. Gaming media has gone same way as all media - controlled
$550.00 if you can get one, ps5 were snached up by clappers, and you will be lucky if you find one under a $1,000

It's wild people think $550 is too highly priced for PSVR2. PSVR launched at $400 and didn't include controllers. That said it's more than I'll spend on VR but this msrp is crazy.
GOTY for me, I did not like Elden Ring at all. Hope Dragonflight is up there too.
The problem with the price of PSVR2 is that VR still isn't where it needs to be. We're probably still a decade away from the VR experience people actually want. I'm sorry but beat saber is not what people want when they think of VR. Everything I've played is some watered down version of another game in first person mode or it's a game where you stand in one spot and everything comes to you. People need to get ready for higher prices. Is the grocery store "arrogant" because they raise prices? Is it arrogant that gas costs more? No. It's economics. What a dumb statement.
I hope this new GoW is better than the last one because I could not wrap my head around why 2018's got as much praise as it did. It was a good game, I had fun, the big turtle and big snake were cool, but I was kinda glad to be done with it when I was done with it.
Perspective and subjectivity..it's a good reason why so many things are out there not everyone is hooked on everything. I play multiple genres on all 3 major platforms and it's one of my favorite games of all time and 1 of my only platinums but I was also a fan of the previous 6 games and welcomed the change and update to combat that some disagree with hopefully this one grabs you but I couldn't be any more hype for it

I think the point about the price of the first PS VR is being missed by a lot of people. It was $399 when it launched, which was $50 more than the PS4 at the time. And that was without the camera, which is required, and without the Move controllers whereas this comes with its controllers. So really the difference was even bigger.

I have just let my PS+ subscription run out and have not renewed for the first time since summer 2014. The lacking quality of the free games and the service in general compared to other services like Game Pass made me come to this conclusion. It's simply not worth it to me anymore.

This as gaming journalism for ska joke they are saying it’s better but they don’t want to commit to it. It doesn’t matter which has done more for the medium just say if it’s better or not. Which one has done more for gaming is a completely different conversation. I can guarantee when Xbox release a decent game they won’t be having these conversation when speaking on them.
PS Plus classics is seriously lacking. They haven't added anything of note since it launched.
The Premium tier is definitely a disappointment. They can't keep this pace with adding new games to their Classics catalog. But I think they're doing well with the Extra tier at least.
The descriptions y'all use for these RPG elements talking about "The numbers go up"......I have absolutely no respect for that at all. It is an extremely pejorative and reductive way to talk about RPG elements in games. If you don't like it fine, but to reduce it to simply "numbers going up" ignores the customization and control that these elements are actually designed to give the player, and I believe it does a complete injustice not only to these type of games, but the whole of gaming itself. It's like reducing a game of NBA basketball to "throwing balls in hoops".
I don't respect it. I never will. I think it is ridiculously poor perspective into what those aspects can actually provide to gamers. You can think what you want, I'm not with it. I never will be.
The thing to remember: they are not real gamers. I never used to talk that way about gamers as I think wether you play console, pc or on phone you are a real gamer. These people however only game to have a reason to talk and make these shows. They have a clear mandate to make Xbox seem like the primary console and ps the one they have to talk about but don’t ever want to praise. Any negative ps news is delivered like a comedy whilst they brush over Xbox’s constant L’s and even make out some of them aren’t L’s (watch how they will make excuses when Xbox raise prices, I bet they even blame PlayStation)
As for rpg elements, if it was an Xbox game all those same features they would of loved, Greg would of been talking all fast doing his best Rick impression about how prefect everything is and morty I mean blessing would of been like aww jeeze let’s go it’s the best game ever. Ignore these clowns they don’t actually care about gaming. If Xbox tomorrow say no more consoles it’s all cloud, every week they would talk about how great the cloud is and how ps is stuck in the past and how they won’t play Spider-Man 2 if it’s not a day and date ps plus cloud game, these are the type of people we are dealing with.
If you haven't played the original games, your opinion matters less to me on these games the franchise and characters of the God of War universe

Yeah you can’t trust people that say Zelda is better as a game than horizon. BOTW was one of the most overrated games Ive ever played. They way they act like cloning everywhere is a deal maker makes no sense unless you realise they are part of the gaming media that for the last few years has been trying to make Xbox = good, PlayStation = bad.
I hope they are ready to criticise Xbox for £70 games in their reviews and have big debates over wether starfield changed the face of gaming. For me Bethesda haven’t made a better game than fallout 3 so let’s see

I think to me what comes off as arrogant is that if the PSVR2 is already at the price point, just make it wireless and a standalone device. Forcing it to be tied to PS5 feels like greed. Especially because PSVR2 is only going to be for gaming, while other headsets can do much more than gaming. My prediction is this does not sell well and they reveal a new version of it that is wireless and is its own console. I’m not sure why they went all out for this, when they clearly have show the same muted attitude of support they showed PSVR1.
There would never be a stand alone device, if it’s wireless, it’ll just be streaming from the PS5.

It is hilarious you guys don't see this as arrogant Sony, they are not set on this path by force it was a choice.. They make profits on console sold well before and after they increased prices, they were making record profits when selling games at £60. Come on guys.. They are the only ones doing all of this while telling everyone its worth it.
It is just getting silly now, going by the bundle with Horizon it looks like these PSVR games are probably going to be £70 too. Its a fucking joke and worse than the early Ps3 era with how Jim talks about it... They are not walking anything back despite their decline, its not a return of arrogant Sony as they have been that since the launch of Ps5.

"Arrogant" Sony has been back for about 5 years (arguably more). It's the return to the PS3 days but without the weird, unique ish to balance it out. I miss Wipeout, Fat Princess, Puppeteer, Gravity Rush, Tearaway, etc
I guess as long as they release quality games I don't mind "arrogant sony"
It's clear that you guys don't remember the PS3 days, because that arrogant Sony was stubborn. Today's Sony is arrogant, but they deliver the best experiences in gaming. I will take today's arrogant Sony.
@@bilguunnyamaa7767 yeah when they do, the same devs that thrived in the Ps4 era are the only ones making quality in the Ps5 era. It is giving them the lifeline through their awful choices and the moment they go away from SP for a bit I think the backlash will be legit and harsh.
@@E86Will Lol that is fucking bullshit, I remember those days and they shifted stance due to the reaction where as Ps5 is not. These Ps4 made games are saving their ass as are the developers who are not making ANY of these stupid choices the suits at Playstation are for Ps5.
