@@mcpics4448 It was because of that crappy advertisement on the Disney Channel. Had they just used the extended trailer first, it would have gotten a lot less.
Definitely enjoyed this show. Rebels was my first Star Wars encounter, so I didn't really know what to expect, but I'm glad it was bc I really enjoyed growing with the characters. Therefore I have hope Resistance will get better
I love how they ended season1 with "We're in hyperspace. Don't know where we're going, but we'll find out." I really enjoy that mystery aspect. Now I must wait
If your a person who is super onto following the canon but didjt give this show a chance, highly recommend. This show is lookingto become VERY important to the resistance as a whole. The Colossus may actually get a call out or even be seen in episode 9, as this may well be the new base of the resistance going forward
I love this season’s portrayal of the First Order. Especially the way it’s all been gradually building up to The Force Awakens. I’m especially pleased with the voice acting, FO ships, and new armor/uniform designs.
Yes, they do a fine job of how the first order, like any military-totalatarian army occupies a territory and once they're there, they won't leave. An allegory of the Soviets after WW2, and dare I say our military. We have bases all around the world, it's an occupation. A lot of countries see us as invaders, but our gov't says we're there to provide security and protection. Sound familiar?
Kragan Gorr looks like Davy Jones. I bet Lucasfilm did that on purpose. Edit: Also, one of my favourite facts you forgot to mention is that Bo Keevil's yellow BB unit SC-X2 is based on concept art for BB-8. I was so hoping that design would be used someday.
I doubt it but, we might see him before he leaves D'qar for Starkiller or, there's always hope for flashbacks in ix (Perhaps a reunion of the original trio during the battle of jakku?)
Fantastic summary of all the connections to other media. Alex I hope you are eating right and working out. We need you to keep us straight on things like this!
Commander Pyre is voiced by Liam MacIntyre. Previously known as the second actor to star in the title role of the STARZ series, "Spartacus," in the seasons, "Vengeance," and, "War of the Damned," replacing the original actor, Andy Whitfield, after his Non-Hogkins Lymphoma diagnosis and subsequent death in 2011.
One I think you missed, that only car guys would catch: Torra's racer appears to be an homage to the dominant Porsche 917 racecar from the late '60s and early '70s, with its classic Gulf Oil livery. The paint scheme is kind of a mix of the two designs used on the 917 in period. A Gulf livery 917 is the hero car in the 1971 Steve McQueen film Le Mans.
Kragen's voice actor also played Riff Tamson in The Clone Wars, Mon Cala arc, who, ironically, subjigates both the Mon Calamari and the Quarren. I couldn't help noticing you forgot this little tidbit.
Whats the chances that its the Colosses whom ends up to be Leias mysterious friends at the end of TLJ? Wouldnt it be cool if the hero characters uses Colosses as a staging ground for a counter attack on the first order? Johan.
Here’s something I found interesting the voice actor who plays Pire also played Spartacus in the 2012 show. And the voice actor who played Von Reg play the doorman and Hundley the dachshund from Curious George.
I'm usually only for the Original Trilogy; I did like Episode's 1; 2 and 3 also...This "Star-Wars: Resistance" had a Great Story, and I found Myself actually binge watching until I had to Force Myself to slow down and save some Episodes for Later Boredom. They did a very Good Job, and I absolutely Loved the Return of The Battledroids.
Here’s my theory: Doza was originally the commander of Skystrike Academy. When the Empire fell he took the station, modified it to change it into a refueling station, flew it to Castilon and submerged it to escape his old life as an imperial officer. Since he has experience with pilots he relies on them for protection of the platform.
That is a really great theory for his backstory as an an Imperial officer. Fun Fact: one of the Aces of the Colossus used to be an imperial TIE fighter pilot and modded his TIE with shields and a hyperdrive.

It would've been dope if han and chewy showed up instead of yeager's brother. Maybe Han and Yeager could've known eachother from fighting together during the galactic civil war
Did anyone notice how there is a stormtrooper stiffed in a closet on the station after the season finale? I wonder if it’s the same one that had to be reprogrammed and if we will get a story evolving him
Kinda disappointed they didn't have Han show up in that episode, because obviously he can't show up in any more episodes :/ oh well, I absolutely loved this series anyway.
That's what I'm waiting for, and very well done ones in scale to the 3.75 figures. I'm also hoping they redo the Rebel figures with more articulation. And we need more Mandalorians. So many different clans, some aligned with the empire. Everyone wants those, I don't know why Hasbro doesn't make them, that would make them a ton of moolah.
You missed the reference from Dangerous Business where BB8 does the same grappling hook swing as Luke and Leia in A New Hope, the music is similar to the scene as well.
The "Fresh for you" part reminded me of a local bubble tea shop near my apartment. There are little potted plants peppered all about the shop, and they all have gun-labels on them that say "Young For You" - and I'm going to assume it's meant to be the same as "Fresh" but there was a loss in translation there. Lmao.
Here’s a question for everyone: Pick 1 character from The Clone Wars or Rebels who think we will see in Season 2 of Resistance. And pick 1 character from The Clone Wars or Rebel’s you would like to see in Season 2
I think you forgot, or maybe didn't mention bc you didn't feel it was relevant for this kind of video, but how about the new First Order Probe Droid being a combination of Imperial Models with added Assassin Probe (from TCW) Jedi Practice Drones? I really thought that was a nice touch, emphasizing that the First Order is technologically a marriage of Imperial and Republic designs, while also taking hints from Rebel or Separatist technologies.
Did anyone else get Mass Effect feels from the elevator scene? lol I really like Resistance, and I can't wait to see where it goes and what new nuggets it adds to the lore.

Major Vonreg aka "Baron" kind of reminds me of the Red Baron in a way. Both were called Baron, and both were excellent pilots. The SW version has red armor too.
the view on the Colossus out of Water reminded me of The Crimson Axe, a Starship used by the Pirate Captain Rav in the SW Legacy Comics. But I am pretty sure the Colossus is much larger.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this, but the Colossus was meant to jump to the Resistance base seen in TFA and TLJ, but the coordinates were incomplete. Based on Hux's speech, this jump (later that same day) takes place while the Resistance is planning its assault on Starkiller Base. Since the Colossus is not seen in TLJ, we can assume they weren't at the evacuation or part of the chase during that film, likely because they emerged way off course, nowhere the Resistance base. Meaning they survive the First Order decimation of the Resistance, whose survivors are so few they can all fit in the Falcon at the end of TLJ. So there's a massive ship with a good number of anti-First Order/pro-Resistance citizens onboard. Even if not many of them want to join the fight, Captain Doza seems ready to do so and the Resistance could use the vessel itself, even if they drop most of the inhabitants off somewhere.
The race announcer Proops voices is named Jak Sivrak. Sivrak is the last name of a Shistavanen (Wolfman) character from the Mos Eisley cantina (Lek Sivrak). If Jak Sivrak is also a Shistavanen, he’d be “Wolfman Jak,” a reference to the radio host from American Graffiti.
Did Vonreg die? If Trench could survive what happened to him in the episode Cat and Mouse, why not Vonreg. He had shields on and he wasn't hit by a torpedo. Trench didn't have shields and was hit by several missiles. Why can't Vonreg be alive?
