I've been stuck.slid down a gentle slop to look over the edge of a super narrow entrance (8ft) into a super steep (50°) chute between huge rock walls. Decided "not today, let me side step back up and go ski something more reasonable) but the snow was so hard I couldn't sidestep up the ridge even though it wasn't even steep yet and I hadn't even dropped into the steep part So at that point I know I couldn't just sideslip it, or I would accelerate uncontrollably... I knew I couldn't just stand there frozen in fear, or gravity would eventually suck me down over the edge. Better to drop in on my own terms... so I just had to drop in and ski it perfectly, no other choice. I said , "I can make my first turn right there...and then ..." Thankfully I made it through that top section and after that the chute opens up to at least 20ft wide and a more reasonable 40-45° slope
Fr tho you have so much gear on and most people that do this have pads around the whole body and from experience it doesent hurt that bad when you have the right equipment

We all have a morbid fascination with mortality. It's like a train wreck, and the best/worst part is that if you want to not be able to look away, YT has tons of train wrecks.
I mean he DID fall down a cliff probably a broken leg, broken arm, and a couple ribs at best. Realistically, probably some back and head injuries as well.
Honestly there was nothing the heli could do. :/ Fred made the wrong turn and guaranteed his fate.. even if he did manage to stop before going off the heli wouldnt have been able to get to him and there was no going but up on fred left side.
Helicopter had one job - FILMING Fred. Fred was supposed to go the other way, but he turned wrong. But he was lucky and "land" without a scratch. (Only crew must dig him from his snow grave.) :-) There is document about that on YT.
Calin Stoboran with all of the factors.... I would assume so. If i had to guess the cause I think i’d probably go with a punctured lung or 2 caused by broken ribs. Snow is soft but not from a straight 200’ plus fall

Ah, this brings back so many memories of all the times I crashed. I once ran right into a tree and got stuck on it, not realizing I had to turn myself around to fall back. My ski instructor was trying to get me out for ten minutes and getting more frustrated by the minute XD

@@Srnab-ge1pq that's completely different and no that's very unlikely they were jumping from 1000+ feet I'm guessing you got that from frozen it's not really true it kinda is but not really shortfalls yeah 1500 feet is completely different and there was no snow there was the asphalt would you care for me to link the photos of the people lying dead on the road I'm assuming its no also back to the snow if you are falling at 121 mph which is terminal velocity if you belly flop into fresh snow you stop about 3 feet in and that will result in you dying just about instantly cause that's just giving you 3 feet to slow down rather than instantly if you land feet first you get the wind knocked out of you and you find yourself 15 feet down in the snow and if no one pulls you out quickly you will freeze to death and also have many broken bones from the fall so please don't make up ideas of people living

@Divine no. You didn’t. I was just stating what I believe. Everyone has different beliefs. And I believe we don’t die and it’s “happily ever after” I don’t believe that you go to “heaven” and life is over. I believe there is more to life then dying and it’s apparently over. Sometimes you just need to think outside the box sometimes. Look you may be offended or religious or some shit but if you didn’t have a religion like me you would actually consider life more purposeful. I believe there are different stages in life. And life goes on after we die. I’m not talking about reincarnation I’m talking about going to a different place living a different life, not necessarily earth if that makes sense. I don’t think it’s over after we die otherwise it’s just stupid that we are on earth and only get 1 chance to live. Look I could be wrong but that’s just my opinion. @@Srnab-ge1pq that's completely different and no that's very unlikely they were jumping from 1000+ feet I'm guessing you got that from frozen it's not really true it kinda is but not really shortfalls yeah 1500 feet is completely different and there was no snow there was the asphalt would you care for me to link the photos of the people lying dead on the road I'm assuming its no also back to the snow if you are falling at 121 mph which is terminal velocity if you belly flop into fresh snow you stop about 3 feet in and that will result in you dying just about instantly cause that's just giving you 3 feet to slow down rather than instantly if you land feet first you get the wind knocked out of you and you find yourself 15 feet down in the snow and if no one pulls you out quickly you will freeze to death and also have many broken bones from the fall so please don't make up ideas of people living
