  • As you can see, quickswitching did not make you fire faster in 1.3 and beyond
    This is from CS 1.5 since the old client.dll can no longer be used with CS 1.6 and thus it's impossible to capture footage of what it looked like in CS 1.6 before the AWP-delay was introduced (unless you happen to be sitting on a demo)
    Nevertheless, the firing rates were identical prior to the introduction of the delay

    I don't know if I'm talking about the right thing here, but how come on the left you didn't quickswitch straight away? after you shot you left the awp out for 0.4 seconds, where noramlly you would shoot and instantly switch (meaning the awp sound would get cut out because you swapped so soon after shooting)

    @No3225 I know you can't do it, but the change in a 1.6 patch was predicated on the claim that there was a bug allowing you to fire faster if you quickswitched. The point of this video is to show that in 1.3/1.5/1.6 you didn't fire faster by quickswitching so the reason they removed it was invalid.
    In versions prior to 1.3 you could fire faster with this technique
