Enjoyed listening and agree with most of what you say. However, going through the list of players, I was struck by how many young inexperienced players (Chang, Hall, Khela, Dixon) and how many smallish-sized midfield players (Bacuna, Paik, Miyoshi, Dembele) we have in the squad. I am afraid that we are going to get kicked off the park in League 1, especially in away games at places like Stevenage and Shrewsbury. That's why I was a bit surprised that we let Marc Roberts and Gary Gardner go. I would have kept them for their experience and physicality. League 1 will be tough. As you say, it is a league of hard-knocks. We could do with signing some players who are experienced in League 1 and who can mix it if needed.
Sell JJ for £8 million plus a small sell on fee percentage, we need to sign a few experienced player 26 plus in age as we have a very youthful squad bar Ruddy and Juke. The physicality might catch them out if we keep playing such a youthful side.
Finally someone has given a fair opinion on what happened to Longelo, I thought he was treated poorly with Laird and co playing left back over him but then they did play James at left mid also, so much unbalance.
@@bernardm2528 he improved as a dedicated full back last season the problem was comparing him to Buchanan who is a different type of fullback. The two would be good in tandem with a back 3 or as wide pair
Not fussed if most were to leave as long as adequate funds come in and young replacements brought in. Take JJ, if we got 10m, then grab it. Would prob try to keep Bacuna, Buchanon. The rest not that fussed but majority will stay anyway 🤷♂️

This has been one of the problems for us all season - when you look at our squad individually, especially now people like Roberts and Burke have gone, there isn't a player who you'd say is a particularly bad player who you wouldn't give a chance to BUT when you put all these so called decent players together on a football pitch, they do not win you matches. I think with relegation it's time to draw a line under these players who've got it but don't perform often enough - hello Bacuna, yes that's right Paik, and I'm talking to you Laird, much as I like and rate these players.
Keeping all these mercenaries who downed tools and let the club down (some of whom have done so for multiple seasons) Knew this would happen, players protected once more. Hope the new manager bins off literally all of them who kicked a ball last season!
Been having a looking and with the players that have left. We are around half the wage bill we was last season already. And hopefully we have a clause in players contracts if we relegated. There is no need to sell anyone. Especially the youth as we don't have to pay them signing fees and large wages. Ideal opportunity to player a good portion off our own youth. And will be great for the books. As we are spending over 140% of our income on wages.
Mirrored my thoughts on every player - but all decisions will be up for change dependent on what new players come in, and that in turn depends on what Manager we have in place We have time, but the clock is ticking...
There are many who I would sell, because we have a large squad of first teamers who will just be bench warmers; get a good striker (or two) and a holding midfielder (experienced) when the new manager comes in he will have certain players he will want. This season coming will be a blessing because we can blood some of our young players who wouldn't get the chance in league one. We will get promoted!
Any suggestion the likes of Laird, Park etc should be playing above league 1 is arrogance!!! They're the same players who took blues down. Personally, I'd try to ship a lot out for any fees and build a fresher squad if possible
We don't have a large squad if you look at it lots are untested youngsters an youth and with I reckon we could still lose 5 or six belik becuna palk we are with the last season 3 weeks over we are if anything under prepared. We have to find a manager and do a lot of recruitment and so far nothing . Too much attention being paid to the new stadium and fan park and not the football

Longelo use as a wing back he is good here attacking. As a defender he wasn't good last season

Dembele and Anderson are both flexible players for the top 6 places, and I favour Kersh in the LW postion, but keep both!

Cody Drameh lost his RB position to Ethan Laird through 6 changing managements, who in 20 appearances had 0 goals & 0 assists!
