10 seconds in and it's already the best video I've seen on RUclips in a long time. I love Barry Fry and have some incredible memories of when he was in charge. It was a wild time but so fun!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again! My favourite time as a Bluenose!! Barry Fry, a top , top man!! A true football man, a true Blue 💙 God bless you Barry and your family 💙💙
Shows you have no class or what it takes for us to be a top club. Sure Barry fry became a blue nose but he was tin pot with a tinpot club mentality and this was the worst period in our history. You know nothing
To say that tells me you weren't there. Read the rest of the comments from those that were. It wasn't about being a "top club", we were enjoying sharing great days in a tin pot world. This trait is the embodiment of being a Bluenose. Glory days
@@paulstephenson1086 People's favourite eras are personal to them. I loved this era and I don't care if you didn't, you're not dictating what our personal experiences with this club are. What is also interesting is that your favourite Blues player ever is Paul Tait. When did he play? remind me? You're a joker.
Was there through the Barry Fry era, was so much fun. He’s a great guy and can really spot a lower league player Wish Bazza all the best, hopefully see him on Saturday KRO
Love this bloke. By far the most enjoyable time to be a bluenose (until now). His autobiography is a brilliant read too. Legend and sure of a brilliant welcome on Saturday.
@@paulstephenson1086 well we have been in the doldrums even dropping into the national league North Paul so its glad to see both teams back on the up with new owners
We did indeed… true story… about a week later, I kicked my football over next doors fence… was about to run around to get it as per usual, then suddenly this huge man was looking at me towering over the fence… “here you go mate” he said, threw my ball back… and I suddenly realised it was Big Kevin Francis!!! Turns out he was my neighbours best mate!!! Great guy, got me loads of autographs on serviettes from a players wedding… brilliant memories 🙌🏻💙
You've got to love him, what a guy. I wish Brian and Alex could get him on here with some of his funny anecdotes from his time with us (and before). I once went to see him at St Andrew in one of those 'an evening with' events and I was in tears with some his funny recollections. I guess some of his memories wouldn't be suitable for a public forum, but I'm sure there'd be plenty enough anyway.
Wembley 95 best day of my life. I was born in 87 for that game my whole family came mom dad my sister Nan grandad all my dads muckas. I didn’t realise it then but now I’d give anything for a day like that with those members of family again. Kro 💙
@@paulstephenson1086When Paul Tait lifted his players jersey in front of 55,000 Blue Noses to reveal which T shirt was going to be trendy on the Beaches in the Summer of 95 🌞
Barry is still doing a great job for Posh - a real football man. Will have enjoyed yesterday’s match. Although a Posh fan, I had the opportunity to see Brum play Forest when Barry was manager. He didn’t do as well as manager of Posh, but kept the club afloat by second mortgaging his home. This was especially tough as he had a large family.
Barry was the manager a year or so after I started supporting Blues, and I just remember how exciting the football was, loving all the players he brought in and really falling in love with The Blues… Paul Tait, Louie Donowa, Steve Claridge, Ian Bennett… great players… thanks for the memories Baz!! KRO 💙💙💙
One of football's great, great characters, as a player & manager, which are sadly are becoming fewer & far between. A superb man manager, though not sure he was the greatest of tacticians. He'll forever be welcome at Birmingham & so he should be. He's done a great a job at Peterborough in various roles, I do hope he's truly appreciated there.
One of my first games down the blues I was sat in the old railway and the away fans were singing you fat bastard and Barry stood in front of them, got his belly out and stood laughing wabbling it laughing. Absolute legend.
What a legend, been a blue nose since 1968 and these were mad times, never seen anyone sign as many non league players to Birmingham! Loved it when he used to run along the touch line when we scored , no wonder he had two heart attacks. ! Many years ago they did a documentary on him and it was pure class , at the end he said to his wife in bed 'fancy a bit' !😂
Barry Fry Yes I remember him an he hasn't changed an looking great , he was the master of the left footed player He managed to get 43 of them when he was with us , keep up the great work your doing an look after yourself old lad , one player I remember was the winger Portuguese man of war he was about 4ft tell but what a player one full back he played against hes head was spinning that much was taken of at half time , an by all accounts it still is😂😂 KRO an SOTV
i was felting roof on old ticket office back of main stand at time when barry turned up to look round and take the job feels like yesterday where as time gone kro
Legend - I remember seeing him in Cardiff at the Worthington cup final . 1000s of blues in the streets and in the pubs ...300 yds away , you saw all the blues coming out of the pubs , and it looked like it was kicking off . As the melee got closer , you could see it was Barry and his wife ,being mobbed 😂 Blokes kissing him 😂 Barry just being surrounded ❤ He must have said to his wife " watch this luv " 💙 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
This man brought me the fondest of memories at the blues. I'll never forget Paul Tate scoring at Wembley, pulling his shirt off only to see another underneath with '' shit on the villa'' drawn on the front, what a dream time. Then to beat arsenal at wembley!
As much as I love Barry, if I was a Peterborough fan I’d be a bit miffed about my director of football heaping so much praise and love on Blues. Imagine Craig Gardener talking about Peterborough being his favourite club and how great they are! 😮
