I can't believe this has only 62k views. As a mandolin player and fan of both of these men, any stringed instrument player should.see this as one of the greatest performances by a duo of all time. Love it.
If you only knew. In the summer of 2002 I saw them do a LONG amazing intro to this song before going into it with the rest of the Flecktones. It was magic. Fortunately I found an audience recording of it. Ravinia Festival Highland Park IL.

Had to revisit one of my favorite tunes of all time... And, my favorite tune of Bela Fleck's ! Even without the bass, (from the album version), this feels so special and Ultimate Ultimate Ultimate!
These two should definitely do a record together

I was there! Amazing and beautiful! My best memory of that Greyfox. If only the people around me, would have been quiet and listened, instead of babbling on about stuff they could discuss at any other time , they might have enriched their life's and not disrupted those of us who are immersed in the music.

Sometimes a performance doesnt translate into video well. In this case, for a very technical, intense, intricate tune, the video is probably easier to enjoy than it was live! Glad to be able to bring this to everyone to enjoy!

Two of my fvs together loverly. Bela is so composed and Chris is almost. He is usually so animated. I could listen to them for 2 days straight until I had to g o fall in love in the porta Potty Line;

Yeah Thile has won Grammy awards the MacArthur Genius award he's played with just about every great world class bluegrass musician outside of the late Lester Flatt's, Earl Scruggs, and Bill Monroe who by the way all have nothing but the highest respect for him but he's a spaz uh huh yeah right sure.
