Core's thinking at the time: "We are so tired of this game that we will kill her for good. But in case anyone bothers us with that, we will give you a level editor so you can create your own adventures with all the game's asseta. Have fun and stop bothering us with Tomb Raider." Thus, since them, we have new TRLE adventures up to this day. Thank you Core.
Thank you immensly for this! I loved this game when I was a kid/teen but I missed so much of this! The fact you got more challenging layouts if you were good at finding secrets, and the skeletons without their heads! I have even more appreciation for this game now! ❤️
I've been playing TR my whole life, one playthrough after another and I didn't have any idea you could shoot the skeleton's head off, I'll be sure to try this on my next playthrough. The last scene from the movie blew my mind. Great content, keep up the good work!
I never understood why that archaeologist was so bothered about "his likeness" being used. I'd think it was ace if someone like me was in a video game 🤣
The first TR game I ever played and my most loved. I used to just sit and let the title screen play the wonderful theme tune. I remember when I first discovered by chance that I could shoot the heads off the skeletons and they would run around without a clue.. for some reason I took great pleasure in doing this. The sense of discovery this game conveyed was just fantastic. I wish they would remaster it to todays graphics, it would be visually stunning.
I would love the next Tomb Raider game to be set in Egypt, it’s long overdue. Tombs, puzzles, traps, imagine with today’s technology. What a great list, so nostalgic.
My favorite Tomb Raider game ever. Thanks for making this kind of breakdown, especially when there are not much TR contents these days. And I'm down for AOD Breakdown, kinda the last TR game with an interesting story in my opinion.
You're welcome, Heck Yeah. I might do more TR content in the near future, other than easter egg videos🙂 Though I'm not sure what that will be in the form of yet.
These are a serious joy to watch, keep them coming ! Some of the facts would've been impossible for me to figure out otherwise like the difficutly changing with secrets. Does that only happen in the first level? Btw it's actually not Indianna Jones' last appearance in a Yomb Raider game ^-^ unless you meant in the classics
Thanks, Amana HB, I'm glad you're enjoying them😀 To answer your question - It will make the race for the Iris on the second Cambodia level more challenging. Other than that, the rest of the game is the same. As for Indie, I was only implying it may be his last appearance because he's dead👍 he's a skeleton...I know, it's a bad joke...😆
Lara doesn't get her hands on the Iris, though. It's sealed with Von Croy while she escapes, so unless he gives it to her later then there's no way she could get it and put it in her trophy room.
Nice details. 4:20 Hypostyle Hall in Karnak is one of the most visited tourist locations alongside Luxor (not Giza). Giza (pyramids area) and Cairo (Hemonaptra) are about 680 Km north of Luxor. Alexandria (Greek ruins area) is 200 Km further north of Giza on the Mediterranean. On her way to Alex, she traveled by a train which runs in the desert, but actually the railway passes through the farms of the Nile valley.
hilarious that the one thing they could display properly with their crappy engine would be the rectangular mass of blocks of the pyramids which they didnt do because they slanted all the blocks for no good reason, probably just to prevent the player from climbing the pyramids
Hey, Xander Jones, to be honest, there's probably a lot more stuff I missed out on talking about, like the one you just mentioned. But some of these videos (mainly the more popular ones) may be either reworked on to further add more points of interests or even do a part 2 👍
Already subbed since last vid. On the one hand the story could really be finished over here. On the other, the franchise would be dead by now. Maybe its for the better we recieved more Lara adventures
@@SalopianGamer When Von Croy offers Lara (the player) the choice of the right and left paths at the end of the tutorial level, it is an unmistakable reference to the older than dirt spiritual concepts of the Right Hand Path (passivity and submission leading to bliss and basically Nirvana) and Left Hand Path (rebellion and struggle leading to knowledge and power and independence). I bet you did not know that! :)

I'm glad you liked it, Javier Aliendro 🙂
Wow never thought that this game so much secrets, thanks for making this video !
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Levan👍

Awesome job as always! Fun fact, today I played TRIV… What a coincidence 🥶
Thank you👍and yeah, that is one heck of a coincidence...😄

Yeah, totally agree, yas min. Perhaps a remaster of all 5 of the originals in a collection would be cool to do.👍🙂
@@SalopianGamer Absolutely! Also if they could capture the magic then a whole other generation of TR (classic games) fans could be born.
I would love the next Tomb Raider game to be set in Egypt, it’s long overdue. Tombs, puzzles, traps, imagine with today’s technology. What a great list, so nostalgic.
Yeah that would be great to see, Yukari1990, I would love to play a new TR game in Egypt on PS5🙂

Hey, Jay, I appreciate the sub, cheers😀👍
I love the Tomb Raider Easter Eggs Videos! Because of you I bought the original games on Steam to replay them.
Thank you, Ovidiu Mirauta😀That's great that you're replaying them again, enjoy👍👍
I wonder which TR Game you are currently playing ?
Fun Video!
I'm a big TR fan and been loving your videos!

Very exciting! The last revelation- is my favorite part of Tomb Raider! 🥰
Pretty cool!
Now I have another reason to replay this game. Thanks for all this interesting information. I only knew a couple of them.
I'm glad you enjoyed this vid too, Hagane Elric 😄
cool video, loved TR LR as a kid
I never knew you could shoot the skeletons head. Quality content!

This was the first Tomb Raider I ever played, and my favorite of the PS1 games.
The train segment was my favourite part of the game!! It was unique and a lot of fun, though short 😄

angel of darkness😭😭 I'm waiting for it
I like the moment when lara can find von croy's glasses

I'd never seen irl Jean Yves. It is absolutely uncanny if they'd never seen or heard of him
Yes we’d love an Angel of darkness video
Well, you'll definitely get the video, George Hidalgo, I just hope I can find some good stuff.🙂
Incredibly symphathic
👍
Removing Lara's Home from TRIV was the stupidest thing Core had done.
Yeah, they should have kept Lara's Home in the game, I agree👍
If I remember correctly Tomb raider TLR was meant to be the horror-based game of the franchise.
hilarious that the one thing they could display properly with their crappy engine would be the rectangular mass of blocks of the pyramids which they didnt do because they slanted all the blocks for no good reason, probably just to prevent the player from climbing the pyramids
5:10 Yeah... In fact - loosing the Senet here is not easier than winning it.
Yeah, I had to reload the game a few times to lose because I kept winning😆
I am surprised that you didn't talk about the hidden room on the side of one of the pyramids.
