    This bike is still relevant, and a kick in the ass in 2023. I have an '18 still love it, even at 25-30mpg.

    I bought one and it gets positive feed back everywhere I ride, of course some people don't like it which makes me like it even more lol

    The MT-10 is next gen design today. I love the Decepticon look, though I'm not sure I'd buy one myself. While I appreciate this piece of machine art, it is a little too out there for me. Also, it would have been awesome if they carried over the colour display and electronics from the R1, but I can understand why they didn't as doing so would have bumped up the price for luxuries that are not reaaaaaally needed on this type of bike. I love the colour though, so much so that I wanted to changed my white MT-07 for one in this colour(night fluo). Kinda reminds me of a GP bike with those fluorescent wheels. Imagine an R1 in this colour... on the other hand, maybe not. We don't get the R1S in Australasia either, which is a real bummer. Would have been an awesome stepping stone for someone making the transition to litre bikes, lesser investment and less intimidating power. Btw, when will those of us not in SA be able to watch the full feature show? Would be awesome...

    A good looking machine. I like the grey with yellow/green wheels. Nice review!

    I can see the unmistakable hints of a grin on the riders face as they are doing wheelies. :)

    Yup, bigger sprocket to lower the gear, which I think is implied in the term "Lively".

    I had the joy of riding one several weeks ago in UK. A cracking bike at decent money. Has to be another big seller for Yamaha.

    I'm not interested of wheelies at all. The wheelbase is 1400mm and that's shorter than most bikes in this class. Is this a bad choice?

  • @waalib798
    @waalib798 7 лет назад

    Something wrong with that10 myn will weelie on power in 3rd at like 80 klph.

  • @giff74
    @giff74 8 лет назад

    So is it worth the money going from the FZ09 to the FZ10 for an everyday bike? I mean the FZ09 is already a wheelie machine and makes more power than most of us can use for the street in anything resembling a safe/legal manner.
    The other thing I noticed looking at your review and then more pictures is how wide the FZ10 looks. I went back and rewatched the the track portion and looked like he was really having to work the bars to get the bike to turn.

      Get it! It's a great bike. It's wider because it's a 4 cylinder vs a 3 cylinder but it's got loads of Powa!

    • @biosis12
      @biosis12 5 лет назад

      You will struggle to keep it calm in 2nd ....as in it will still power wheelie in 2nd gear

      @jumapelljohn3958 6 лет назад

      I had a 2016 Speed Triple which I loved but I did trade for the MT 10. The MT is better in every way. It is the best all around bike I have ever owned after owning over 30 motorcycles. You will not regret it.

    UK pricing: R1 (£15,000.00), MT-10 (£10,000.00). SA pricing: R1 (R255,000.00), MT-10 (R230,000.00). R230k??? Seems grossly over priced to me. Surely it should be priced more in line with Suzuki's GSX-S? UK pricing: GSX-S1000F (£10,000.00). SA pricing: GSX-S1000F (R155,000.00). Wouldn't R155k - 170k be more realistic? As stated, this is not simply a naked R1!!!

    I'm a tall guy and I plan to go sit on the new Mt-10. I've been looking for a bike that's not a cruiser to be comfortable on. If I don't find a bike soon I'm giving up street bikes. Funny how in 40 years all the bike makers have done besides add a little power is make the bikes the most uncomfortable bikes of all time. Its feels like I'm a person sitting on a small bucket and I look like a dog humping a football. This year is the last. I'm sick of it...every damn bike in the world is only made for short small people other than shitty cruisers.
    Back to dirt bikes only for me. I resent that bike makers don't give a crap about people over 5'8" tall.

      NakedBeachRider I am 6’5” and switched from a cruiser ( Yamaha v star 950) to the Fz10. What a difference in terms of comfort, the cruiser always made me feel like I needed back support, the upright position of the Fz10/Mt10 is much more comfortable. And the bike is much lighter than the cruiser which makes it very easy to handle.

      I agree NBR. I'm 6.2 and I've given up on everything else. I was comfortable on my Diavel but bored and it felt bulky and heavy. Let me tell you that the New MT10 is the answer. I love it more than any of the other 30 plus bikes I have had. You will to.

    If the brakes are worse than the R1, and the arm’s brake feel is non-existent, it must be so bad.

  • @ThisIsJoe07

    R230k - wow, that's really too bad.

  • @DDIAZ-we4dz

    i would have rather have 200 hp from the r1 with a -1, +2 gearing swap. sounds like they cut corners because using an actual r1 engine would have cost them too much.

    • @KiLLzaLOw3
      @KiLLzaLOw3 8 лет назад

      I actually like it. Change the exhaust line, all black with small touches of red and a new seat and this would look wonderful. But even with no change I like it. It changes from all the other Japanese Bikes or European. But hey everyone has their opinion you just don't need to be a dick about it ;)
