Rachel makes the mochi look really tasty 😄 In the video I hear the Nagoyan accent. My wife is from Nagoya and her parents have a strong Nagoyan accent. This video makes me miss them.
Is it weird that I find it really cute the way you seamlessly move from speaking Japanese to English? I speak some languages but I can't "move" that way, it takes a little while for me to switch language (=

I can really understand the people dying from chocking, it is soooo sticky~! I haven't had fresh made mochi, only from the pre-ground mochi flour. And I didn't know that you could eat it with flavours other than sweet. Interesting!
I seriously think I could watch rachel eat mochi all day lol her face is priceless Im sure Jun feels the same way lol its like watching a kid get a new fav toy lol
I love how Jun kind of turns into a little kid in this video. He must really love his family and he feels really comfortable around you Rachel, it's really cute.
Love the way you edited this video. The music in the background really adds a warm feeling to the whole scene. Nothing like my video from last year... How to make Japanese 餅 mochi / rice cake! 餅の作り方! I'll be adding a link to this video on that video though!

You're so lucky to have family members that can make something so deliciously unique! I actually love supermarket mochi, I can't imagine how good it must be fresh!

I think he's talking about the device that pounds the rice for you, unless that function is built into the rice cooker?
thats not a normal rice cooker, so no its not in every asian's home.
Yep I was talking about the device that pounds the rice, that is very much not a normal rice cooker ;)
