@@Jo-wl5fj It has helped with toning yes and also flexibility, strength and balance, and its a nice gift to my body that keeps gifting me back :) Body memory kicks in years later and it still remembers the moves and the healing that is there. If you don't get it now, you will when you get older, I promise you. :)

I’ve been listening to Master Lin and doing his Qigong. His voice & demeanor and explanations are so much more calming and inspiring than western culture’s teachers & voices. It’s their energy

I think that there are different teachers for different people. And qi Gong is about keeping the mind and body open. There is no one teacher for everyone . I started with a very traditional hard core aMaster of QiGong and practiced for 2 years and while I learned a lot intellectually, I found it very difficult to embody. What Lee has done is made it so much more approachable. Pretty much immediately. So all the things the first teacher taught, I now can actualize but without the worry and struggle. . That is the mark of a great teacher. To learn something and bring it back down the level of the beginner. Again find who inspires you and just do the work without judgement.
      That is all that matters.

You just have to do qi gong to really understand what he’s saying ! I’ve been sent videos like this in the past … and never given them any relevance. It wasn’t until I actually did qi gong and felt absolutely amazing did I realize it’s importance.

this book im reading called hidden secrets of water, suggests that the movement of Qi pumps the heart and thus it is Life that breaths/moves us! its like a current that swims the fish! Vortexes appear in the void, allowing energy to spin and fractal out in harmony. Spirals are the path of infinite, fibona-qi :) The mystery is that we are included, zero point/void in the equation.

I found Lee Holden at my local library. Lee is a won instructor. I introduced him to an American friend since he was recently diagnosed with some issue with his heart .
Much of what Lee does reminds me of my father’s daily solitary exercise, which was Taiji practicing for three decades before he passed away.

Thanks Lee, I appreciate this explanation. You're right, modern yoga emphasizes and obsesses about stretching and strength, but the truth is Yoga in the Great Tradition is actually more in line with QiGong energetically through breath and bandha, strength and receiving...yin and yaung.

Nice presentation. But uhhh, heartbeat starts at week 9 or 10. Not week 13. While there are different medical and scientific estimates of the heart beginning to beat - some as early as 6 weeks - Nothing supports the heart starting to beat at 13 weeks. Be careful where you get your info from.

    • @GilesWiley

I noticed that as well - plus quite a few other mistakes - I really wanted to love the presentation like so many others but found it difficult with the errors. Oh well, can’t be easy presenting in front of thousands with no prompter - I know I’d struggle.

What you get, is a result of how you identify yourself to be.
And I wanted to become rich,
so I started to live like a millionare,
    Aaaand Somehow..
    My wallet is empty..
I closed my eyes and visualized,
I sat down and started to breathe,
I balanced on one foot, and waved my arms.
The wallet still empty WhatefAaa ..

When you say “live like a millionaire” did you mean “I started to spend like a millionaire” or “I energise an activity that generates wealth”? millionaires engage in wealth creation activities usually for hours a day

This is American self help guru commercial speak. Madonna teaching Jewish mysticism (Kabala.) Qi Gong is not something a master teaches verbally in 20 minutes. It's not a quick fix. It cannot be mastered without lots of practice over many years. I've been practicing MA, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, (or Ki energy,) since 1970. No master I ever trained with (in the US, Middle East, and 15 years in Asia) ever talked like this. Standing on a stage and telling people "Why" is nonsensical to Qi Gong. This is like saying, "Here's a guitar. Just strum it. Now you know the "why" to Jimi Hendrix." Jimi became Jimi by playing guitar (practice) every minute of every day. He found the answers through other musicians who were masters in their own right. Sorry, this seems like just another feel good sales pitch.

Yea. He could probably agree with you. Placebo is just a placeholder word for an invisible force that affects our wellbeing. This whole talk about Qi is about the invisible forces that we are made of, that affect us, that we can affect.
