I have traveled a lot for work, mostly Europe and Asia. I was often in that situation you mention where I have nobody to really talk to. One time, i was reading this book someone gave me. It was written in old English style language. As a result, my internal conversation was in that prose until I got home. It's always better if you have a local with you.

Bert is perpetually dissatisfied. Nothing fulfills Bert because Bert is as deep as a puddle. This dude got old, but he never grew up. Berts idea of success and happiness is being the center of attention, he is a pure narcissist who is not a particularly interesting person.
Bert should wake up everyday thanking God that he somehow found a way to make millions of dollars and there are people out there willing to give him money for his terrible ideas.. Instead all he does is compare himself to other celebrities with actual talent and skills and he thinks to himself: "How can I get that much attention without actually putting in any effort on self improvement?"

i think he would, people underestimate just how well loved Bert is by his fans. we might not get it, but his fans love him. they're ride or die.
@TAZS Yes, bret is loved by his fans, but having other comedians on it opens him up to the rest of the country that might have gotten tired of that damm machine story. I think bert was a star, but now his a superstar that can do arenas without worrying too much because he has other great headliners to back him up.

yeah facts. plus people forget, Bert has been like this forever lol he's like an adult baby, he's quite similar to Bobby Lee in that way. he has all these dreams of things he would like to do but they're just opportunities for him to talk about himself, he's not really serious about it. plus he's super famous, more than he has ever been, why would he leave that behind to travel around Europe? no chance.
