- I have strabismus and have been in vision therapy for over 18 months so I have spent my fair share of time using a Brock String to help get my eyes working together.
It was SO hard at first and I have searched high and low to find different ideas to help me have success and I have compiled them all into this video. Some are ideas I've made up, others are from books I've read or from my Optometrist, the king of vision therapy, himself. Each of them is awesome, but put them all together for ultimate success.
To read more about the Brock String, go to StrabismusSolu...
To read about how to improve your peripheral vision (which will make the Brock String a billion times better go to lazyeyesolutio...
These tips are definitely intended for those who are in vision therapy and have been assigned the Brock String exercise by their licensed optometrist or vision therapist. Without the guidance of an Optometrist, you can create bigger problems! Go to COVD.org to find one near you.
So good

Thank you!
You're welcome!
could you make a video on the different types of lazy eyes and which one can be fixed with vision therapy?
also who is the surgery for?
Great ideas for topics! I will add them to my list!
Does this therapy help in non strabismus amblyopia
I just started vision therapy because of strabismus from concussion. I can do the brock string in the middle and on the right but I’m STRUGGLING with the left side. Sigh. I’m committed to fixing this
Keep at it, your brain will figure it out over time. Use your peripheral vision! This is the key! I promise you. I have a course about it that can really help. learn.strabismussolutions.com/mastering-peripheral-vision
great explanations. will do this. so if you please, what is the thickness of the Brock String? mygreathanks
I wasn't born with a lazy eye but since 2 years back I had eye muscle pain and now my eye is lazy suddenly..it's so frustrating..the optometrist gave me this cord.
That is interesting and actually happens to more adults than you would think. It can come from a head injury, too much screen time or just wear and tear on your body. Vision therapy could change your life. I can help you find a great office at strabismussolutions.com/findvt/
Hey im doing this exercise but im not able to visualize that x pattern wht should do
Are you supposed to do this exercise with or with out glasses?
How many times do you go for vision therapy in a week?
I was going once a week when I was in therapy.
in general for how long every day I should practice to achieve progress?
I do vision therapy 30-45 minutes 5-6 days each week.
Great video how often should I do theses excersises
I would definitely talk to your optometrist about it. Some people do it every day for 10-15 minutes, others not at all.
How long it takes to recovery?
hey there, sis..just wondering if your strabismus is esotropia, or exotropia...mine is the former and i'm thinking brock string exercises probably won't help me just because internet sources say exotropia is easier to fix than eso...
Exo is easier to fix, but both are possible! I started with exotropia and now have a mild esotropia after surgery.
@@strabismustostereopsis7799 you mean brock string can possibly fix esotropia, too?
@@HealingBeats777 One exercise isn't going to fix it, but the brock string could be helpful in the process.
@@strabismustostereopsis7799 ok, thanks so much 🙂
