The improvements always temporary since the main issue is the brain once the brain decided to neglect the eye then the oculomotor nerve will obey all commands from the brain. All vision therapy exercises force (not train) the nerve especially the oculomotor nerve to do the work, once the person stop doing the exercises the nerve will go back to it's prior state (pre-therapy). the main cause of convergence insufficiency and most BVD Disorders is damage nerve (or nerves but not cranial nerves in most cases) in the brain or the trochlear nerve (Cranial nerve 4 very important). Regarding prism glasses not recommended at all costs and could lead to Exotropia later if the extraocular muscles get lazy after adaptation period due to neuroadaptation in the brain.
What if "X" location changes depending on the bead/distance, as in sometimes its in front of the bead or behind the bead? Sometimes the bead is not clear, or one of the strings disappears?
I have this problem and am trying to do the exercises to help treat it it is very annoying because I can only read or look at something for five minutes before my head starts throbbing and I can’t get rid of the headache so I just have to lag down until it’s gone lasting at the least of half hour no at the most four hours
My son was trying out the last exercise in this video: Looking at the middle bead and just turn your head side to side, and see if your X stays, and you can also go up and down. He can see X stays when move his head up and down, but when turning from side to side, the X will stay until he turns to the furthest that he can turn for both sides, and when his head is turning furthest he can only see one string. Does that mean he has convergence and suppression problem? How can he correct it?
I'm doing the Brock String exercise every morning, but have been running into some problems. I can focus on the bead closest to me and see the crossed strings and double beads, but when I try to focus on the second bead, I can't see the double strings/beads. Is there a different way I should focus or position myself? Thanks!
Try pulling the string as close to you as you can to focus on the second bead. Then gradually move the string away while focusing on the second bead. Doing this will help bring the double strings/beads into view while doing the exercise.

Had so much fun learning this at Cognitive Fx with Bethany, laughed so hard I was crying. Thanks for making treatment so enjoyable.

I'm stuck at 2:30 no matter what I try. Knowing that it's supression isn't really helping.
How do you fix it

Trying to use this sounds difficult, they gave me one 1-2 years ago and did not really explain how to use it, and the video is not so clear either
Hi is it normL to see beads double?
Thank you 🙏
You're Welcome :)
If you pick up a violin but cannot play it b/c the strings look crossed, what does that mean? I also tried to play a cello & the same thing happened.
Donna G. You may be have a convergence issues Check it out to be sure you have to be tested to know for sure😊
