Hi Adrian, i really do admire how well you look after yourself, healthy eating, Coffee pitstops. Your stamina is amazing with all of the walking that you do, and those Bananas you eat are a great source of potassium. Great idea photographing that Tree inside that Red Telephone box. I liked the Panorama shot, as well as the tree branch in the water. And that white house looked stunning, as all of your images are stunning. Thanks for sharing this video. 😃
@@aows Al contrario, gracias a ti, Adrián. Es un verdadero placer disfrutar ... aunque no por verte pasarlas canutas en no pocas ocasiones. Mucho ánimo. Y gracias de corazón.
You really are incredibly resilient! A tough way to live from your car on the road. You clearly have a good routine, but my goodness a small camper van would make your travel life rather more comfortable! I admire your resilience and dedication! Beautiful work. Wishing you luck in the rest of your travels, Scotland really is stunning!
There’s a movie from 1952 I think, that has no spoken words the entire film. “The Thief” was a moderately successful film which had only two scenes where the viewer was able to read a telegram. Otherwise the entire story was conveyed by visuals. This video, with so few words reminded me of this. It’s quite an art to be able to accomplish this. I enjoyed!
Hi Adrian. I admire both your work, and your fortitude! I have to say that lifestyle (albeit temporary) would drive me crazy 😉 Frankly you look exhausted and in need of a rest - cut yourself some slack. All the best.
Great video, really enjoyed the quietness of it, it was quite meditative to watch. The longest ive travelled alone is 2 weeks, and even then ive had thoughts of 'what am i doing this for'. I salute your pursuit of your dream!
Great video and the reality of life on the road…. No romanticism just realism… you can see why the British are fascinated with the weather! But it also make the diverse and wonderful countryside
Interesting. I feel you must get lonely and that is sad. But, also you are getting the pictures you want and presumably enjoying what you are doing. This is what I have in my head to do next year. I did wonder about you taking pictures through the windscreen, I just would say I would jump out of car and get image but maybe the ?”texture” gives it the feel/vibe you want. I feel like I would want a small van and not a car.
I am alone, but not lonely. I know it's just for a few weeks, and I'm doing what I love. Being by yourself gives you a freedom and flexibility that you wouldn't have otherwise. I do love it, but I have to say that after 2 months living in the car by myself, I was more than ready to call it a trip. A van might have helped a little bit, but I do prefer a car for driving in the narrow and rough roads of Scotland and other beautiful places. About the windscreen, yes, sometimes the water helps simplifying or even getting rid of a busy foreground, for example. Thanks for watching!
Great stuff, Adrian. I’ve cycled around Europe 3 times. Just me, my bike, tent, etc, for 6, 7, and 5 months. So I have an understanding of what you go through. Good days bad days and lots of mind games, but so worth it. Keep doing what you do, Adrian. So inspirational !
Adrian, another great video. A few videos back I believe I recall you saying you were putting on a CP filter to be sure some standing water would be white. If I heard you correctly would please explain how adding a CP filter on a cloudy rainy day results in making the white water?
Lovely moody lighting and pictures. Not many people can inspire me to take pictures on a rainy, overcast day, but you can. I also like the paper border instead of pure white. Even though I'd prefer grey, white seems trendy.
Is that a Sandisk Extreme SSD you have? There is a lot of talk online plus a lawsuit about how they like to spontaneously wipe themselves so just something to bear in mind. I have one and it hasn’t died yet plus it’s all backed up but just FYI
Having watched your videos from all over the world, it's a little surreal to see you so close to see you so close to our home... I hope your journey continues on into the West Highland Peninsula of Moidart, Ardnamurchan, Sunart and Morvern....we have incredible scenery around every bend... Take care and enjoy!
Do you plan going to Paris Photo with your books some day? I watch Daniel Milnor from Blurb there now. I think I'll actually try to get there with a book about Lake Mjøsa, as my daughter got French in school, so now I try to learn as well.
Hello. Haven't seen your videos in a while . Looks like you retired the bronica. I have the same camera and set up. I'm having a problem with the shutter speeds. I can't get the bulb mode to work or the the (T) mode on the lens. It shoots amazing photos though.
why restrict yourself to just black and white. i can see some of your photographs in colour and they are excellent in colour. please don't restrict to a genre. that restricts our ability to be creative as well. afterall it's the art we all crave for.
There's freedom and creativity in constraints :) When all the options are available, we tend to go for the most obvious and easy one. That's why I love shooting with prime lenses every once in a while, too. When you are limited in your tools, or medium of choice, you have to be creative to make it work. In any case, Black and White is the way I see the world through my camera, there's no way back for me here. While it is true that many of the scenes I photograph would work very well in color -some would say that even better than B&W-, they wouldn't be what I saw anymore. Not the world I'm trying to capture... or create, if you will. I do work with color on these videos, though, so there's that :)
Black & white isn’t a restriction or a limitation, it’s a creative choice. I shoot black & white film exclusively after fighting with colour and feeling dissatisfied for years - I realised I wasn’t doing it for me, but for what I thought others wanted. Creativity comes from within, and you have to be true to your own creative vision and needs. If colour is your thing go for it, but for others it’s black and white all the way. It’s a personal choice. Keep up the beautiful emotive work Adrian, it’s stunning!
Jeezo Adrian, that's a tough way of life you're living there, I'm full of respect that you can endure that and still produce beautiful images.

I'm astonished at how you do this. And drink decaf coffee 😂

Sure, but it doesn't really work. We expect some sort of commentary

As always fantastic video and fantastic music...thanks Adrian
Great insight into the reality of photography. Heading off for a few days at the end of this month hopefully I get a break regarding the weather.
I wish you good weather and good photographs, but no matter what it should fun. Enjoy! And thanks for watching :)
...so many good vids. But this one is a Masterpiece!
I so admire your ability to film yourself as you go about your day,.
It is hard at times. But it does help me stay engaged, I feel it complements the photography side quite well.

Interesting. It’s not all sunshine and roses then. Great road trip overall, but did you ever get to Dunnottar Castle?
We had a trip planned to Scotland the year everything got canceled. Great black and whites of the moody fog. My favorite was at 22:29.
I did too... still haven't gotten there.
Maybe someday?@@mjmdiver1137

Brilliant 👏
I love your photography. The cooking - not so much 😂😂😂
Could be a lot more unhealthy, though! Fast food on the road ain't cheap, or good for ya.

Scotland looks amazing as ever.
i appreciate you!
I have very much enjoyed the Scotland series of videos Adrian. May i ask where the monument was that you showed in the video
Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
Thank you for coming along!
Love your work. Your book ONE gets many read-throughs on my coffee table.

Here for the dialog as well as the insight and images...I'll check back on the next one.
awesome!

Wow!
stunning!
this was incredible
Brutal 👏
Thank you so much!
Yes, you wont want it being sunny !
Nope!
You need to get yourself a campervan!🤣
relentless
It's a hard life.
I wouldn't have it any other way :D
Yep got to like rain in Scotland. And one day is ok, by the third you and everything will be wet and damp , damp to the bone , not nice.
