TLM is so smooth combined with your vocal chain there are minimal to no complaints man just SUPREME QUALITY ! ,ive been using the Aston Spirit as my main mic but listening to some of my older mixes im liking the way my Aston element sounds more & its almost 100-150$ cheaper haha
My go to mic is the Lauten Audio LA-220 V1 eventually It'll turn into the LA-320 V2 because I jus love how the 220 sounds in general with anything I throw at it🔥
@@silveramateur571 That 220-320 series mics are clean asl it's also neutral so you can eq it the way you want without it sounding weird. Mixing vocals recorded with tht mic is my favorite thing
And I bought the studio set - so mic, Neuman’s shockmount and metal and foam case that would fit two mics and shockmounts. Roughly $1400/1500 usd. Love your voice, btw!
Thanks for the video, informative. Very nice studio. Neumann of any sort would be nice to add to my setup. We've only got basic (read pretty cheap) cardioid large diaphragm condenser at the pulpit and piano. I'm thinking they're XML. I do A/V and Livestream at my church, so all things in the audio shiny bits category get my interest. I'll get a better mic later, however we just invested in a Mac Mini as my Studio computer, so I'll need to wait a bit. PS excellent vocal samples. Keep up the great work.

Hello, I bought a new uad sphere dlx, but do I have to record my vocals in stereo? Will I experience any losses if I switch it to mono later? I know it's always better to record in mono and mic collection doesn't allow that :(

The presence boost (gain that area) is in some way a mechanism, to fakes an improvement. Its the same, if you increase the gain overall. This means, that gain dont improve the microphone or the compression or whatever. Means, the TLM103 sound pretty flat in comparison to U87Ai.The U87Ai is very organic, round ... its like a sound-cloud .. much better. Btw, if you sing the word "round" at 6:49, open your throught more at the "ou" and move the pitch a bit higher. For training that, use a singing straw, which will place your vocal tract and you can train the tc--muscles, so it dont go under. 1 think more. I baught the Neve 1074 Hardware as a system 500 launchbox. Its pretty cheap for about 900$. Its definitaly superior in comparision with this binary-emulation with a plugin. It really ad quality to the sound and realy open up the microphone. Its like, if your voice gets alive.
What’s the activate 48hrz on interface ? How do u do so . I have a wa-87 that was working fine then it lost signal and I’m thinking it’s something with my Apollo x . Help pls!
nice bro thanks for your tlm103 experience for using. for my perspective this mic is more suitable to male.However,I watch a numerous videos of tlm103 .many of RUclipsr would suggest that the microphone is not beneficial for deep man vocal,if you were the deep vocal,ple take notice of this point. hope my experience helps others people who might consider using this mic!
