As always a great episode. Loving seeing some Heroes 2, it was my introduction to the series. Would love to see more of it, or other entries in the Heroes series if you have played them.
Thanks for the HOMM 2 playtrough. Its a lot of nostalgia for me so i have picket up my old laptop with Windows XP and install this classic again to play 😉
Hey Novoro, I noticed that you're playing with the MIDI audio files or something. Don't you have the normal audio option? Thanks for making these videos by the way. You're my favorite since you're very laid back but yet calculating.
He's playing with a mod he made to change all the music to be Kevin Macleod songs. He was getting copyright struck a while back with the normal in game music
The Kevin Macleod mod I made is for Heroes 3, but the copyright incident has made me a little paranoid about using the Heroes 2 soundtrack as well. I'm not against using the proper soundtrack (although the opera versions are probably too distracting), but I figure the MIDI soundtrack may be a little safer.
That's a great episode and the playthrough convinced me to try HoMM 2! Have you made a video comparison between 2 and 3 (anything similar to the video you did on Songs of Conquest and HoMM3)?
It's right at this moment in each game where you're starting to clean up and the AI is throwing its last curveballs at you that I always wish the AI was a BIT better. This last stretch could get really interesting if it could use its powerful heroes correctly. I am glad it's giving you at least some trouble, but the outcome of this game is pretty obvious at this point. Fheroes2 did something, but it wasn't enough to make it feel good yet.
Did you get my comment a few videos back on a little mod I made to rename the Men of the Sea for you? Don't have to use it, just want to make sure that youtube didn't eat the comment because it included a link.
I didn't but that may be because (for my sanity) I only usually check the comments on newer videos. I am curious though haha, I would suggest emailing it to me via the channel's about page.

It just got another update. Maybe if he updates it'll turn around :p
Same issue with HOMM3... it's just hard to fight when the opponent reaches critical mass, same thing is true for the AI against the player.
