As someone who does bodywork, dudes right. Sometimes primer reacts when it shouldn't, and paint doesn't hold where it should. It really sucks sometimes
Hey man I love your videos, I'm rebuilding the interior of my 97 sc400 and am looking for a shift slide cover for the automatic. I know you have done swaps, could I maybe buy one off of you if you still have it?
@@Edward3jr wow, i have the same car and need to paint it. I guess I really have to do my homework. Your car did look good on the video though, I thought they had done a great job.
@@dannyarias8786 so it gets worse, I actually took a bunch of before shots, stored it on my hard drive. That hard drive is now a brick… I learned a lesson and now back everything up.
If paint "flex" is a problem there are flex additives available to allow the paint (or primer) to have some "give". I had that problem in the 90's when I was painting my 70 Vette. I was advised to use a flex additive in the paint and I never had any cracking after that. (Fiberglass flexes like crazy). I just sold an SC300 last year, loved that car.

I wish I did, I’d give it to you for free. 😣
Great video, still waiting for the paint breakdown!
I wish! Sadly this was a two year process with none of documented.
