    I like watching these vids because I can learn about my bike watching you tear into your demo bike, so if I ever have a problem I'll have the knowledge to fix it myself. I love wrenching (most of the time) and learning everything possible about the bike I love. Thanks Todd !!

    Your awesome, thank you. I done the hammer performance kit in my 03 and installed the 2000i by watching their video. With the hammer kit I had to rotate an additional thirty thousands for proper timing on my kit. Your video helped allot.

    I was hoping to see the timing light being used and his explanation for not having the plastic **chinga that threads into the timing hole🤣. I enjoy and learn from every one of Todd's videos🇨🇦

    • @lowbrowcustoms
      @lowbrowcustoms  Год назад

      For the timing light, you put the plastic plug in to see the line more clearly also, if you don't want oil in your face and then you put the timing light on the spark plug wire start it up and at run at optimal rpm. you will then see the line hopefully in the center, as the timing light flashes. If its left or right of center you may have to adjust your sensor. Retarding or advancing the timing. Heres a vid on using timing light on a triumph starting at the time of using timing light. same concept different bike. ruclips.net/video/HdP__nnG1XA/видео.htmlsi=N9N50F_qOfC1L6WY&t=4181

    Is there any specific reason why the two coil wires must run from the ignition sensor directly to the coil instead of simply running them to the existing deutsch connector thats already at the bottom of the bike?

    • @KerryWiegand
      @KerryWiegand 5 месяцев назад

      I’m guessing that the manufacturer didn’t want to deal with the variety of wiring for different bike models in their instructions/kit. I don’t see any reason you can’t use the existing harness, which is what I’m planning on doing.

    Thanks for the video, I’ve been wondering what to do while the roads are too slick to ride on for the next few months.
    Question, for bikes tgat have the pickup and ICM behind side cover, is the installation process the same? …ish? Just unplug and remove the pickup then replace with the Dynatek piece?

    Please help. I did Evo1987 engine service, I replaced the camshaft with s&s 495v, I bought Dynatek 2000i and there was a problem with starting the engine. The motor is set as the manufacturer suggests. Tdc in the window is a line piston located at the very top. I set the ignition so that the LED signal goes out. When trying to turn on the engine, the LED shows the signal at the beginning and at the end of the start. I am asking for help. Best regards

    Another great video , thanks for posting . Just a quick one , is there any reason you couldn't simply fit Deutsch pins on the end of the new wires and re-use the original plug ?
    Thanks

    • @lowbrowcustoms
      @lowbrowcustoms  Год назад

      you would have to either splice on the old plugs which could be a little messy / un reliable or go to the dealership and get new pins. The other thing is to make sure the wires match in the deutsch connector.. Many ways to skin a cat we were just trying to show a way someone can do it in their garage with doing what most would have in their garage to do the job :)

    just curious, Instead of bypassing the VOES harness why not just splice the purple wire into the stock wire that goes into the harness itself? Anyone? Anyone?

    • @lowbrowcustoms
      @lowbrowcustoms  5 месяцев назад

      You're not plugging this ignition into the stock harness and at all it's only 3 wires. its way easier to just hook it up direct :) specially if you are using the VOES

      @@crippledwizard666 Yes you need an advance unit, best way to get one is to buy a points conversion kit Drag part # DS-242299 Keep the other parts because if the Dyna quits, the points will get you home, takes about 40 minutes to swap it out on the side of the road.
