@@ImprovedCameraman It ISN'T minecraft-y. The Piglin bosses fit in the lore very specifically, and to add them to the base game would completely get rid of the lore and reason to play Minecraft Legends
I had a feeling that the player was the only person who knew that putting crying obsidian and glowstone on the way to create a respawn anchor means that he knows what the properties of each block are and how to use them in that way. It’s like the respawn anchor only exists to you for you.
I thought of something similar to that, because in legends the player is taken from a different dimension or timeline, so i think that perhaps the player is a fallen god or something, losing most of their power, yet retaining the power to craft, mine and respawn, they even obtain any recipes an item is in when they get it.
It wouldn’t be too outrageous to say that the fourth host was ender. In MCL, foresight literally spawns a new sun in, not to mention that they have the power to craft such golems. I honestly think that when they were shaping the overworld, there were four, but perhaps he was the one in charge of the natural process of decay or something. Perhaps he created the end and used it as his safe realm from his 3 other siblings.
yeah, and ender also creates sorts of "golems", such as the squal golem from Xatrix's previous theory, and (if they can be counted), endermen and their counterparts
I like to think that Respawn Anchors have an isolated pocket dimension. This pocket dimension acts as a sort of teleporter for the player's soul. Upon exiting this realm, the player's body is reconstructed through energy created through the combination of Crying Obsidian and Glowstone. The combined power of the EXP the player collected and the Glowstone powering the Respawn Anchor is used to instantly bind the player's soul to their new vessel. The Glowstone is drained from the Respawn Anchor in the process, hence its finite amount of uses before requiring more Glowstone. As for beds, the player's soul is bound to that spot in the Overworld, brought through the same aformentioned pocket dimension upon death. A similar physical reconstruction process occurs here, instead using most of the EXP that the player collected prior to falling. The explosions from using these in the wrong dimension are a result of the binding process being extremely unstable when attempting it in an incompatible dimension. Instead, the respawn block in question releases the stored residual energy from the player's previous respawns in a powerful explosion.
That's why I think the Nether Minecraft Dungeons DLC didn't have a shard of the orb: the piglins ALREADY failed it. I also thought that the Heart of Ender was a manifestation of the Void Itself, since the void may be sentient (Minecraft Dungeons item lore proves this theory,) but quite possible the Heart become estranged from the other hosts and drew power FROM the void, giving it more powers. And why don't we see ENDERMEN in Legends? They seem to be warped by the void, and if the Orb is a servant of the void, or the void itself, that would explain why endearment don't show up.
It's likely that Ender was a former host that never knew of The Void - in life - and it was his curiosity that saw to his death. Based on the fact that the Vengeful Heart of Ender (the final boss of MCD) resembled a centipede with 3 eyes and devil horns... it may not be too far off to imagine that he's the host who helped create the Overworld's creatures.
I haven't watched your recent vids, so you may have covered this, but I'm VERY intrigued at the possibility of other "hearts". The Nameless One says while the Heart of Ender represents the End, the one on his own staff embodies the power of the creatures of the night (possibly linked to the powers of the moon as well?). This implies there could be more out there.
So if the Hosts aren’t gods, but “Ender” is, then what exactly makes an entity a “god” within the Minecraft universe? It’s possible that the Orb was cursed with a physical form by the Hosts, thus giving disadvantages and advantages. It could’ve experimented with void energy before being banished, which caused its power source to switch from the Well to the void and the End. Also, if “Ender” is a host, then the Vengeful Heart of Ender’s perfect form is likely not its original form, but rather using as much of the End’s power as possible and adding it to its body until it feels “perfect”. Also, at the beginning of the video, what did you mean about the Orb being a “victimized villain”? Edit: Also, the Orb’s powers shown in Rise of the Arch-Illager could be due to it gaining energy while its spirit is attached to Archie.
Yeah, I was thinking that, the 'extra' eyes being unlike his normal ones could merely be a sign or effect of him reaching beyond his initial station the other hosts still occupy. Maybe ender isn't even his original name. Certainly doesn't follow the 'virtue' convention of knowledge, action and foresight.
@@howardmurphy8019 Yeah, it’s name could’ve been Dominance, since if you’re building a structure you could be seen as asserting dominance over the land. It would also explain why it would go against the other Hosts, since it would be “in its nature.”
I had a minor theory type thing, basically the voice you hear in mcd is another host, maybe ‘bravery’? It gives you information and helps you similar to how the 3 hosts help you throughout mcl Maybe the 2 voices in the end poem can be hosts too, maybe a bit more laid back than the other hosts? But that’s a stretch since they seem a lot more knowledgeable than the other hosts. It would also allow a nice 3 host 2 hosts 1 host timeline. But then that would mean the hoe would be hidden in the base game of minecraft, we need more information. The ocean monument/well also seems to be growing using this timeline, the water level rising as well. Though I could be misinterpreting basic game design choices.
@@Shadykatus I’m very confused with a lot of what you’re saying, but it would be weird for a host to have an almost identical voice to another host (not saying that the narrator must be Foresight, just thought they would be more unique). Also, if you’re saying in the last bit that the ocean monument is the Well of Fate and/or they weren’t originally built underwater, then that is definitely not the case. Not only is there multiple ocean monuments, but in Minecraft Dungeons, there’s a giant ocean monument called the Abyssal Monument. In some areas, there are tube-like hallways with a shattered glass ceiling, which was seemingly meant to keep water out of the building.
@@sboy2044 I was just making some quick thoughts, thanks for correcting me on them though! Also as for the hosts thing I think they have very different voices. We don’t have the full puzzle yet and it’s good to collect and correct the pieces before it sticks.
I think Ender could be a Host, since they DO have simaller chararistics, the Hosts can change things in the fountain, but otherwise are very limited simmalarily, the heart of ender can only make stuff in the end. The hosts cant do much to the minecraft world, and have to find a hero to persuade to do stuff for them, Ender does this aswell. Ender is just more agressive, and forces people to do stuff for him instead of persuading them. Furthermore both Ender and the hosts can create golems and teach things how to create golems, such as the heart of ender showing anctient... (villagers? idk i forgot what it was lol) how to build squall golems, the arch illager to build redstone golems and the hosts teach the heros of minecraft legends how to build a ton of others. such as the plank golems, grindstone golems, etc etc. BUT HEY, THATS JUST A THEORY, A GAME THEORY! THANKS FOR READING
My theory is that the orb came from a pocket dimension. If you didn’t know, in an original interview that has now been considered non- canon, a developer was talking about how when endermen teleport, they enter a pocket dimension and reappear in the overworld, the same way if you move one block in the nether, it’s 8 in the overworld. The dev said that the endermites would latch onto the endermen passing through the pocket dimension and travel with them to the overworld. What this proves is things can be trancefered through pocket dimensions allowing for things such as the zombie plague to spread or even the skulk. This brings me to the conclusion that the orb magic or specifically enchantment magic came from a pocket dimension which later transformed the end.
I also originally believed this since in the Vengeful Heart of Ender’s boss fight, the only mobs it spawns are endermites. But it doesn’t really seem to explain the seemingly religious themes. In my opinion, the Heart could still be a Host and it created the End and the Ender species species from void matter, which it discovered in the pocket-dimension.
I want to take this moment to appreciate MC legends, unlike people who have a disliking because it's not more than a game with a Minecraft theme. Expectations. Anyway, good vid and nice use of the novel lol
Yeah, honestly, I got it Yesterday, and I'm loving it. I went in with my expectations tempered, and have enjoyed it cuz of that. I think calling it an RTS does it a disservice though, its more of an action adventure army builder
The fact that there’s a beacon in Minecraft legends implies that the Piglins eventually overthrew the Wither Boss, who was the ruler of the Nether a long time ago and they destroyed his physical form and now he is merely a demon telling his followers-the undead (mainly wither skeletons) to find a way to respawn him. Steve/Alex were trying to resurrect their dead ancestors only to find out that the wither boss tricked them into summoning him and he sucks the souls out of living beings by killing them with wither skulls.
Please make more of these videos. Legends is horribly underrated only because of the game length, and with these videos we might be able to improve and ome together with the legends community by theorizing and cooperating.
I agree with you. Minecraft legends is terrible underrated and looking at all this makes me sad. Especially if you look at the potential this game has.
@@Xalk_ru bro is late but yeah it's true To be honest, if I wouldn't have other priorities I would develop a mod with a team that brings legends to java in a balanced and not too overdone manner. It's just too good to skip.

I think the Hosts in Legends are likely one of the parts of the game that aren't actually canon to the Minecraft universe, but are just put there as personifications of different story elements to be able to coherently explain what's happening in the game. The starry translucent form they take on when they enter the Overworld could be to indicate that they aren't entirely there, or that they aren't entirely real. At least, not in the same sense that the player character and the mobs are. True, they were able to assist the Firsts with creating these different machines, but it could just be in the same way that someone could use their own foresight, knowledge, or action to create things. I also doubt the Hosts were actually able to transport players back in time, partially because it doesn't support my theory, but also because the player character options in the game each have styles and names of their own, independent of the player. There's still a lot of fascinating evidence I've never noticed here regarding the Heart of Ender and the players' apparent abilities to respawn. I completely agree that, in short, respawning probably isn't meant to be a canon ability for players. There are still certain ways that it's possible, though, like with a Totem of Undying. Maybe in the future the Respawn Anchor will be expanded on more and we'll know what's on the other side of that small portal.
I've thought that the beds, which are made by the wool of sheep, contain souls. When you sleep in them, the souls make a connection to your body and when you die, they teleport you back there and using some energy from the souls to revive you.
@@helenos_152 maybe. I guess it could work if sheep were carnivorous, then the souls could be stored somewhere. Maybe the souls circulate the ecosystem like nutrients do irl, like when a creature dies its' soul goes into the ground, then plants absorb the souls and herbivores eat the souls, then they get eaten by carnivores, so the sheep have more than one soul, just that only one is its' own. But there isn't any evidence to this hypothesis so it's merely a headcanon.

I don't know if my comment will be seen much on this video, but respawning is _absolutely_ canon to minecraft, not just as a game mechanic external to the world. The respawn anchor is just one example of this, but the other is more overt: echo shards and recovery compasses. These items explicitly interact with the player's death. And as in-game items hidden away in the ancient cities, the implication is that the inhabitants of the cities were aware of that mechanic. However, I think it was a rather rare ability, so its not possible for literally _everyone_ to live forever thanks to respawning.
I cant handle the lore for this game, like a few things I have loved is. 1. We can see at the end that the villagers and the new illagers, the illagers were angry the villagers didn't help and so now in normal Minecraft and in dungeons we can see them trying to get stronger in case of a another attack and also having some hatred towards villagers and find them weak. 2. In the new 1.20 Minecraft disc we can here some of the Minecraft legends music hinting that the ruins used to be buildings back in Minecraft legends. 3. In one Minecraft legends book, Return of the Piglins and we can see how they can enter through without getting turned into zombies plus in the story there were paintings on the wall telling that Piglins have invaded before! 4. lastly now we can see that the ruined nether portals are from Minecraft legends because we destroyed them all and there was only the ruins left.
I think that the respawn anchor teleports you to it right before you're about to die, or perhaps it teleports you from the afterlife, but I think that that's less likely.
I have a theory about the whole legend thing that the hosts are characterizations of the villagers ideals and how even if you have good intentions they can lead you down the wrong path the illagers being the example also I don’t think the mobs were every friendly but instead could be the stand ins for ancient tribes your physical brawlers being the zombies amazing marksmen being skeletons and perhaps explosive experts being creepers also the player character isn’t actually from the future but the villagers thinking we are the same individual from the past who helped them who I think may have give the villagers the knowledge of making golems sense the villages legend shows the player had them first and brought the golems with them again this was a legend we have no idea what parts are true and which is false we can only speculate but foresight knowledge and action aren’t real they are definitely just characterization of their names the same we humans would make up gods to explain stuff but the towers we see definitely are from the builders villagers just don’t know that

I kinda just want to see a video dedicated entirely to different types of magic in minecraft Redstone is confirmed to be a magical mineral, so why is it so systematic? Was it easier to figure out or do people just know more about it more than other types of magic? In minecraft dungeons there's is a gravity hammer which has quote "a crystal embedded that can harness the power of gravity" that implies that people in the minecraft universe must have at least some idea of real world science, does this mean that in the minecraft universe magic and natural overlap? And on top of that the magic used seems to depend on the surrounding area windy areas have wind magic, forests have plant magic so there is some kind of system to minecraft magic What about gold? Combining it with stuff like watermelon and apples have a effect on an individual when eaten so gold is obviously a magic metal
Something tells me the Seer isn't evil because it was corrupted by the orb... chances are, it intentionally sought out the orb for its power. It's almost definitely evil by nature.
That’s not how the Orb works. It influenced hostile mobs to lure Archie towards it. Also I kind of have a head-canon that the Seer was instantly killed when the Orb attached its spirit to them and now they’re just a puppeteered corpse. It’s just a head-canon though.
@@sboy2044 Um... my dude, they literally show Archie get corrupted by it in Minecraft Dungeon's opening cinematic. He was shown to try to resist it for a brief moment before grabbing it, and he went from a bullied and scared youth to an abusive dictator almost instantly. And the second the orb was gone, he was no longer evil. He was terrified, and then happy when the heroes give him a second chance. In the DLC, each shard of the orb directly influences and corrupts the bosses you fight to retrieve them. Its literally stated _multiple times_ on the wiki page that it corrupts and twists the desires of the one who wields it.
I think the last point you make about the respawn anchor being kinda the opposite of a portal because you can only go out doesn't mean that theres another dimension but instead it just teleports you from your spawn point to the respawn anchor
Obsidian Can't naturally form in the Nether, as such, the piglins couldn't have know about the portals, and as such, would not be able to make them. The Seer had the orb of dominance, as shown in this video, So I think the Great Hog somehow got access to The Orb who told the Great Hog about the Overworld and Nether Portals. The Great Hog, being the leader of the piglins, would try to conquer the Overworld. The Orb would then use it's powers to spawn in obsidian so the piglins can make the portals, as for how to orb even got to the Nether, It's from the End, and many things from the End can teleport to different dimensions.
I think Ender is the fourth host and he used to work with the other hosts as the strongest and helped build the Overworld but for some reason he betrayed the other hosts and built the End and eventually changed his power source from the Well of Fate to the End and made Endermen as his minions along with Enderlings and the Endersent to control the Enderlings and Endermen and then he built the Nether aswell and tried to take control of the Overworld and smash the Well of Fate but then the 3 other hosts managed to shatter him into multiple pieces like the Eyes of Ender and the Heart of Ender and since he was shattered he needed to be in the End or else he turns into the Orb of Dominance from weakening unless he has a vessel to project a body but it will still be weaker than if he was in the End
A friend of mine and I recently developed our own theory, that the hosts are somewhat like children of Ender. Hence why they seem to each have an ability that Ender has, but aren't as powerful as him on their own. And why they each SORT of look like a piece of him. For example, Foresight looks like Ender's neck. And Action and Knowledge combined look like Ender's head.
5:06 ive always seen that symbol as a common illager symbol, seen inside mansions, on the side of pillager outposts and on the shields and banners of the illagers in dungeons
I feel like that could entail the players wiping the Dragons out before the Endling of its species is the remainder, but we don't know for sure, it can lean either way
@@Xatrix Why I think that MC came before MCD is because of my opinion here: The Orb of Dominance I think is a power of the end at this point, and wanted to get rid of all other powers that could revolt against it, so it had Archie kill the dragon. Once the Dragon died, the endermen mutated into enderlings and let the end bloom with plants and more structures.
with all the dense lore in minecraft legends and minecraft dungeons, something from minecraft story mode will have something to do with the new games, also the minecraft "movie" that was planned, had "order of the stone" in the title, which is from minecraft story mode
I find it a little odd that nobody has brought up the fact that the Great Hog seems to be heavily imbued with End-based magic. This magic has seemingly made him a practical demigod among pigs, with his unnatural size, physical strength, as well as his agility being far beyond most other Piglins. My theory on how the Great Hog rose to power is that he was once, many years ago, a mighty piglin. Strong, but nothing beyond the norm. One day, he encounters the Seer, somebody who promises greater strength or something amongst those lines. The Great Hog accepts this offer, and is imbued with the magic of the End, allowing him to become the mightiest piglin the Nether had ever witnessed. As the Great Hog rises, so does the Seer. The reasons as to why the Seer helped the Great Hog could be many, but I’m thinking that it’s amongst the lines that she lacked the physical size, ferocity, and presence that the Great Hog possessed. She couldn’t unite the Nether, but the Great Hog could. This also leads into why these two possess mutual respect for one another. The Seer assisted the Great Hog’s rise to power, and she is extremely wise, as well as competent, which only lends to the feeling of respect the Great Hog has for the Seer. On the other hand, the Seer respects the Great Hog as an equal because he has _proven_ himself an equal. He was skilled and mighty enough to unite the Nether under his rule, and that probably takes a lot more than just brute strength. By doing this, the Great Hog has exceeded the expectations the Seer had for him, which has led to the Seer seeing (lmao) him as an equal. The Great Hog is the ferocity, strength, and presence to the Seer’s subtlety, sorcery, and cunning.
what if the orb was Heart, a third host, that was able to escape its prison once the orb shattered. then the shards, with remains of its magic, did the dlc things and allowed it to escape to the end to reform. the endermen taking it to the end in the mcd cutscene were trying to seal it again like the other hosts had to when it decimated its dimension. also every host owns a dimension, but retreated to the legends one to avoid affecting Heart, who was corrupted by that point
About that theory about Ender being the "third" host, I would like to counter your counterargument on the "true" heart of Ender's appearance going against the theory of them being the "third" host. You forgot to acknowledge that the form it takes there is the BROKEN Heart of Ender, meaning not only is it incredibly unstable, but it is damaged, which the model clearly depicts with the various lesions and unstable fragmented/segmented body. Meaning the form you call "perfect" is anything but. We have yet to ever see the Heart of Ender's true form, as they were never able to show it during Dungeons, so we can only speculate.
Seers are welcomed equal as the Admiral level role, since they can carry the whole plan, they would tell important things, and keep plushie pigs if needed.(the last one is just a joke)
Wait, how does the Orb control its user? Is it similar to how the Endersent control the Endermen, or is there something else going on? I wonder how I'd use the Orb... Could I use it to control the End's inhabitants? Would that put me on a similar level as the Heart of Ender? Would the relation be mutual at that point?
Read Rise of The Arch Illager for more detail but to put it simply the orb manipulates its user to do its bidding, basically turning it into a walking, breathing puppet.
I think the orb of dominance itself may be the 4th host, if you look at it this way, when the 3 hosts stand in the square with the crafting table in the middle, they look at the fourth and only empty corner with forsight saying that he is just sad it has come to this. This tells me that there for sure is a 4rth host and I think that the other three hosts defeated him but as he is a god of sorts, he remained trapped in a block, only able to influence others. With that in mind, we can tell that a normal piglin found the orb of dominance, which is the 4rth host and got corrupted over time and became what it is now. As for the name, it should have been dominance which also explains the name "orb of dominance". Another fact, when the heart of ender is out, we can see it has 3 main eyes and a ton of others all around it's body which I think is a way for the 4rth host to disguise from those seeking the truth, but the 3 main eyes remain and look the most important.
even though we don't know much about the timeline where mc dungeon take in but i will alway belive that mc legend is the the first of the timeline, after that is vanilla minecraft and last is dungeon, mc dungeon not only big but the mob and weapon is way more advenced than any other minecraft game. With hundred of different kind of weapon, armor, artifact and new unquie enchant than just a normal sword with different material, the amout of mob in mc dungeon that upgraded and outperformed normal mob in vanilla minecraft, the best example is the illagers, not to mention about how many of structure there are and how development of human society in mc dungeon is, there is even a dead ender dragon statue that placed in Lone Fortress so i strongly believe that mcdungeon is the lated timeline in all minecraft game
I think Minecraft Legends comes first in the timeline then eventually Minecraft Dungeons later on down the road then finally Vanilla Minecraft and i guess Minecraft Earth.
To me, *_the Great Hog_* reminds me of Warhammer 40,000's *_Abaddon the Despoiler._* They're both the "boss of bosses" in the bad guy chain of command, and they're both ABSOLUTELY HUGE in terms of presence in the world (and sheer girth). Because of this, I like to pretend that the existence of the Hordes is because the Gods of Chaos have legitimate presence within the Void - and, thus, Nether Warped Forests, by extension - and "try to reach out..."
I have my own lore theory in my opinion the 4th host is called the nameless one from Minecraft dungeons and the orb abandoned the nameless one in search to experiment on pigs to make piglins the nether mobs came from villagers turned into wither skeletons to get revenge on the piglins
I had a thought within the timeline. Foursight takes a player from the base game of Minecraft, known as the end of the timeline. With legends being the beginning. And dungeons being the middle ground. With structures appearing in dungeons (in peak shape) but being destroyed in the base game. In dungeons and normal Minecraft you see forms of the nether deteriorating over time. Obviously due to Steve's interruptions to the population. Which also makes sense since there aren't player sized piglins in legends. To shorten it, you can see things how they were in legends, see things deteriorating in the nether but thriving through the overworld In. Dungeons. And even more so in normal minecraft. And eventually back to legends once foursight takes Steve to the past Edit: also, I've noticed that foursight sounds simaler to the narrator. But disappears any later
I always thought that the Seer have tried to get Rid of the Great Hig secretly and then Rule the Piglin Empire Herself, because she made Evil Sounds when the Great Hog enters the Portal
Here is my theory on where the dimensions are. So they aren't actually dimensions. There are just levels in one universe. The nether is one of them, being under the overworld in the lowest levels of the world's crust only possessing foliage from the past with the crimson and warped tress being probably decended from ancient prototaxities (a type of giant fungus) whos spores penetrated the earths crust throgh cave systems. The piglins are the last naturally occurring life here, probably decended from extinct pigs that used caves to get to the nether. The end is a nebula, possibly light years away, said distant nebula, which has a large asteroid field or planetary debris scattered across (the end islands). This place harbours a kind of strange matter likely formed by the supernova that took place here long ago (void matter). Strange inhabitants live here either biproducts of the nebulas proseses or decended from aliens, beings called endersents and endermites live here useing the void matter to corupt other organic lifeforms. The foliage of the islands were likely modified plants form the overworld that were modified by the endersents. The portals used in the game, specifically the end portal, utilise some kind of energy inside them to harness the power of lightspeed and send things to the distant nebula, the nether portal probably uses the same thing just on a much, much lower calibre. There we go, that's my theory.
🫡 minecfaft legends. also another theory is that the villagers created this legend, and because they were scared of the orb's power from mc dungeons, they used it as an excuse for the piglin's power.
"You cannot go into the Anchor, only out." Ok, so multiverse theory/headcanon! If You respawn by the use of the Anchor, YOU don't come back to life. Instead, another version of You from another universe leaves Their own world and goes into Yours, continuing Your journey
they should add this to the game but 2 types one that keeps it perma night and one that keeps it perma day in Minecraft and you get it from a rare ruined nether portal. and you have to complete the portal and fight 3 waves of piglins to turn it into a day beacon.
or you could just mine a normal one and keep it night all the time. To power it you have to encase it in glass above a nether portal like the piglins did.
I dont believe the Vengeful Heart is the Heart of ender's true form. I do belive its a form it could take, but keep in mind: its also been called the imperfect Heart, and that some of the shards have been permanently lost due to the events of previous dlcs. If all the shards were united, i think the Perfect form of the Heart of ender would look a bit different from the Vengeful Heart
I know this might be unrelated to the video, but can anyone explain what the Minecraft Key golem is in relation to Minecraft lore? Because I always wondered what it could be, and how it was created in the lore.

@@trumediamix1 Exactly! The hosts have respectively 1, 2, and 4 eyes. The vengeful heart of Ender has THREE.

Underrated book
@@mickmick1085 Definitely
It gives you information and helps you similar to how the 3 hosts help you throughout mcl
Maybe the 2 voices in the end poem can be hosts too, maybe a bit more laid back than the other hosts?

But you can get wool without killing the sheep
@@charcoaleater343 As long as it's a part of the sheep, it is part of its soul. And as long as the person has the respawning ability, it can work.

The Great Hog, being the leader of the piglins, would try to conquer the Overworld. The Orb would then use it's powers to spawn in obsidian so the piglins can make the portals, as for how to orb even got to the Nether, It's from the End, and many things from the End can teleport to different dimensions.

And eventually back to legends once foursight takes Steve to the past

If the orb of dominance end up destroyed in MINECRAFT dungeons timeline, could we rebuild it in vanilla minecraft in future updates

Ok, so multiverse theory/headcanon!
