    Something I haven't seen anyone acknowledge is Maul's arc in the gap between Solo and SWR. Firstly, in Solo he obviously has major authority within the criminal underworld and it's even hinted at that he's building a fleet (as you said). Then in 'Twilight of the Apprentice' he states that he has nothing, referencing that he has his own reasons for wanting the Empire to fall as well as a possible encounter with Darth Vader. Maul even states that he *"cannot defeat Vader alone",* so I'm guessing this encounter lead to the destruction of his entire faction. This may have included Maul dueling Vader who is unsure if he really is the Emperor's old apprentice or not, thus creating the rumor that "Darth Maul lives" within the Inquisitorious. Plus based on the fact they show both Vader and Maul at the ends of the standalones, they could be hinting this encounter may be shown in a future live-action movie! That would be a bold move on Disney/Lucasfilm's part, I hope it's true.

    I think it makes sense that Crimson Dawn, the top syndicate controlled by Maul, would be the superior one compared to that of Black Sun and others. Maul almost eliminated all of the crime syndicates and took their place with its own. Now that he’s more wiser and just as powerful as then, it wouldn’t be a surprise that it is still on top at the time of Solo

    What if Maul had been building his own Death Star? Most of this is just based on the idea that the Crimson Dawn Logo looks a bit like one but the timeline lines up. Clone Wars established that Maul knew about Sidious's plan to start the war, which could include ordering the Geonocians to design the station. He certainly had the resources to at least start construction and had plenty of reason to need one. The Empire probably would have become aware of what he was doing, sent inquisitors after Maul and taken over the operation, explaining how the Death Star 2 was built so quickly (since it was actually done concurrently.) All this is to say that, maybe Maul needed the fuel for some sort of big spaceship.

    • @yospidey0078
      @yospidey0078 6 лет назад +2

      This an interesting idea because in the new canon people in the Empire only talk about one Death Star and nothing about a second. I think if this is true then the Empire and Vader would hunt him down to destroy his plans leaving him with nothing, leading to Star Wars Rebels.

    Solo was a good film. I don't think the reason it flopped was because of a boycott like some say or because of Star Wars fatigue. I get a strong gut feeling if someone did research and conduct a study they would find the number of people that were boycotting was not really sufficient enough to cause this flop. I think it was something else. It was because it was a movie about Han Solo. I never was that interested in the character growing up, nor did I remember knowing anyone that interested in Solo like the other characters. Most of the other characters to me felt like they had more kids interested in them than Han.

    I would not have made the "dogs' " teeth regenerate if I was the producer. I would have stated they conduct a real world animal process, a term I can't find the term for, where they naturally replace teeth all the time. Basically, the animal does something similar to what crocodiles do every 2 months. They replace teeth and regrow a new one. The difference here is the amount of time it might take for it to grow for this fantasy creature. The regenerating idea seems a little unnecessary. I understand why they chose to go with it, but it seems off... if you know what I mean.

    THANK GOD Chewbacca didn't eat anyone..... but my question is... why did it say only, "humans?" Did the writer meant to say, "No. He didn't eat anyone," or was he implying he might have eaten some none human sentient beings? Haha. I can just accept he didn't really eat anyone. That scene to me might have been funny, but it caused a disturbing domino effect. It implied Chewie ate people and could switch into feral animal survival mode if the conditions were right. This to me seems to dissolved that concern.

    • @FilmShiz
      @FilmShiz 6 лет назад +2

      Obviously he would have eaten non-human sentient beings; humans do it too.

    • @starwarsnerd100
      @starwarsnerd100 6 лет назад

      RubbishSpeakers True, people do what they have to in survival situations. But if a spin off movie casually dropped the bombshell that Han or Leia or Luke had chowed down on another being, wouldn’t you look at them a bit differently?

    • @FilmShiz
      @FilmShiz 6 лет назад +1

      That's like saying "Would you look at James Bond differently if he'd, at some point in his life, eaten a slice of bacon?" In that situation, he would have eaten part of a sentient being. The only difference here is that humans can't handle a lot of raw meat, while all other carnivores / omnivores can; I assume including Chewie; so James Bond and anybody else would have had to cook it while Chewie didn't need to.

      Nah! It is because it did in fact have red flag signs indicating it might not be a good movie from the early starting days. Remember the director or someone else getting fired during process of the moving getting started? There were other stuff to occur as well. I think that and the fact it was about Han Solo was what really motivated people not to see it. I mean all that crap going on during production pretty much literally gave omens the movie might have something bad happen to it or not go well. Also I don't remember many people growing up that interested in Solo. The other Star Wars characters always seemed to have people more interested in. It was really because it was about Han Solo and it showed red flags it might not be a good movie during the developing process. The Last Jedi didn't do that much damage to prevent people to stop watching Star Wars like so many angry nerds like to claim. People these days are pretty much used to Star Wars movies not being that good or do things that anger them. It's because ever since the prequels it instilled the belief that Star Wars will always be lack luster or average. It will also never reach the same level of quality or whatever it once hand in the classic trilogy. People have come to realize this now.
      The prequels I hate to say it but they really did have a negative ruining affect aftermath that is harming Star Wars. It established the movies to always to be plagued by mishandling of characters or other aspects of the universe, bad choices from the development leaders, and questionable plot choices that annoy people and make people decisive if the movie was that good or bad. Star Wars fans I hate to say it, but are very fickle, like to think contemporary, and can be just as toxic as they can be beneficial to the franchise. When they see something they dislike they will go over excessive than what is necessary. No other franchise has the same situation. Look at Marvel. People don't flip the f*ck out in the same way, even if a film fails about their favorite character. Star Trek's fans don't send death threats to actors or the directors. (Star Wars did in fact experience this and still do. [George Lucas had death threat mails sent to him during the prequels]) Star Wars has problems. That is something everyone knows, but the Star Wars fans are not making it any better in how some of them choice behave about it. They are making it worse and making the environment more difficult and toxic work in. You can't fix anything well if people are constantly afraid they might do something wrong and intensify the pressure in the toxic atmosphere from the angry fans. They just crack under the pressure, or make more stupid mistakes out of desperation. This is what I have literally scene over the years with Star Wars.
