I know this Kalam in Nusrat Fateh's voice is legendary but I bet even Nusrat would have been proud of this performance if he was alive. These Qawwals are legendary people will now that when these legends will pass away.

Fareed and Ayaz were trained by their father The legendary Munshi Raziuddin, who in turn was the cousin of Bahauddin Qawwal.
Qawwali has its root from India when Amir Khusru wrote Qawwali for his teacher Sheikh Nizam Uddin Auliya some 800 hundred years ago .
Boundaries have moved but this music moves the soul of subcontinent.
I feel the new generation of millennials are more appreciative of this music which cuts through so many boundaries.

It's just unfair to compare these two with Nusrat Saheb. He obviously was in a league of his own but this is still such an amazing tribute to the original qawwali. Legends like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saheb shouldn't be used as comparisons and hindrances but as inspiration for good singers to attempt their songs. I absolutely loved this version of the qawwali it was out of this world. You guys must have made Nusrat saheb proud today with your breathtaking effort. Take a bow.

Nope, I respect thy opinion but disagree, I feel as if NFAK had a monotonous style, and his raags weren't up to the standard, his poetry also lacked effort sometimes. Your last sentence is putting Farid Ayaz and Abu Muhammad in an inferior light, his family were the disciples of Amir Khusro, the person who crafted Qawwali, and this family has been doing qawwali since then. Farid Ayaz in particular is VERY educated, and is very melodious. I'll suggest you watch their videos on DreamJourney, a youtube channel, which have qawwalis/classical music with lyrics
