I have been wondering how hot the delta bowl gets with hot water (soup). The base is supposed to buffer that I think. Have you noticed how it does compared to the collapsible bowl as far as heat?

Thanks, yes the delta bowl base does not get hot thanks to the protex hex pattern base, same as the S2S collapsible bowl which also has a hard base. In terms of the walls, hot soup can be easily handled in my opinion in the delta bowl, and it also has the little thumb handle which is helpful. The collapsible bowl, you can feel the heat in the walls as it is a thinner material, but holding it by the base when contents are extremely hot makes it manageable. Hope that helps!
