I've the same issue....i can start windows normally, but after a while it appears the watchdog violations blue screen. First time appeared during a video on RUclips.

If it's nvidia driver, do you guys get a freezing screen and then like a second or two after, the audio's gone too and then everything's die, blue screen, auto restart the same?

@@Dark-nw2cq i uninstalled the new update and installed the previous update seems to have fixed the issue for me.
you can find the older driver on the nvidia site or just search youtube how to install previous version

to anyone wondering this only works sometimes if it a physical piece of the computer that is damaged this wont work also you can only try these methods if you can get past the lock screen

The easiest way is to go to your device manager then click display adapters, double click your Nvdia graphics card.... Go to drivers and just click roll back driver
I was curious if this was the case for me.
Drivers updated just around the time this issue started happening.

@@SkeletorOmega2 yeah I've had this issue just update the drivers to the current version, force update if you are already on the latest version
Here is a piece of advice to all: before trying to fix this BSOD, make sure you know whats causing it in the first place. As for me I am currently having BSOD because I have a faulty nvidia GPU ( GeForce 755m). I also get other BSOD errors like video scheduler internal error and sometimes kernel error. So if you have similar problems to mine, its best if you disable the nvidia GPU then the BSOD WILL disappear and your pc will still work perfectly fine, you just wont be able to use NVIDIA. IT CANNOT be fixed ok. It just keeps reoccurring

Nothing you did in this video helped me out, at least you have only one hard drive and not two, so i don´t know how to chance the settings for my second hard drive (1:49) - I format my hard drive completly, and now it works again.
How exactly are you going to "solve it" when the code is happening because the GPU is dead and you have to replace it? My card got damaged during shipping and windows wouldn't stop throwing this error until I got a new one.

Now my computer is stuck in a cyclical troubleshoot mode and my admin account doesn't exist anymore. Can't get my machine to boot anymore, not sure if I'd recommend this

I have DPC Watchdog Violation Error. Every time I activate or instal the driver of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 850m on my laptop, the error pops up. It keeps restarting my laptop until I deactivate it by going through SafeMode.

@@Clementine-l1t Unfortunately no. This problem is caused by Nvidia GeForce GTX Ship. I mean that it's faulty and can not be fixed. I did everything I could but no use. I have made the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) disappear but sadly without the Nvidia GeForce GTX 850m activated or installed and since then able resume my work in my Laptop.

@@scythegaming99 honestly I just followed the sequences.....I am not computer savvy at all. I’m guessing that different PCs react in different way. I have a Lenovo that is probably 5 years old....sorry thatI cannot be more help to you

Right Click start menu and go to device manager, then open display drivers, then select your graphics card, then go to drivers tab and uninstall it, then download the driver ( search "your graphics card"- driver download) and download it, BUT AGIAN I M SAYING, IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG DO NOT BLAME ME, DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, thats all

Hello my laptop is not even restarting.
When i press for retart it always brings up the blue screen and says it will restart automatically and it becomes a loop.
So without accessing my desktop how to follow your fix ?

i would like to help you but idk if it works on laptops. on a pc you can install (on an other device) windows on the usb-stick and put it in the pc. it starts and gives you the option wich windows that you want. after that you can make everything from the beginning but yea how i said i dont think that it works for laptops.

Thank you. I hope it help. It´s amazing, how this blue screen death is soo anoying. I have done a few steps myself and so far my laptop started to restart for over an 1 hour and half, shut down all protection (avast, malwarebyte) and is lagging as hell. So I guess I might get this from virus.

It was suggested that updating all your drivers is effective for fixing this. Have updated my drivers and applied this fix as well. My BSOD was very random though so it will probably take a while until I know if it worked.

@@harshityadav0 Unfortunately it didn't. Though I have only done the driver and error check method and not all the other steps in this video.
I did update all drivers. For clarity, my Watchdog BSOD happens very randomly. Sometimes my PC can go a week or two until it happens, so it's quite sporadic.
I have read that one potential fix is updating the BIOS which I intend to do soon.
I'm curious of this error is related to a certain platform. Could you tell me which laptop you have ? I am running an Asus x570-F motherboard. I have my suspicions that this error is specific to a component software found on such boards, though I'm not sure.
