Fantastic story telling, production value, and the edit. Reminds me of what Netflix did for Formula 1, and the Tour de France. Those two series were excellently produced.
This race was incredible to watch. I was fortunate enough to be the heli GSS op for this race, and I gotta say, Paige Onweller, LDC, Cole Paton, Alexey Vermeulen, and John Borselman, and Howard Grotts all stand out as being hero’s on the day. It’s always inspirational to someone’s limits redefined. Tune in to Call of a Lifetime season 2 on January 15th 2024 to experience the whole Grand Prix season.
I was looking for coverage this weekend and didn't see the usual Facebook updates. BUT this was much better! Bravo getting full coverage put together and out so quick.
@@shannonvandivier coordinating helicopter footage, drone shots, ATV, for men's and women's elite, athlete interviews... it's as impressive as what the athletes are doing 🙌🏼
Thank you Lifetime for pulling together this outstanding coverage and getting it posted within 48 hours of the event. It's fantastic and I hope this is the template used for coverage of next year's events, especially Unbound and LT100. Gratz to all the riders who participated this season in the Grand Prix. It was a long season to put it all out there.
So cool, and so glad we got to be part of supporting this incredible group of athletes, organizers, and community here in Bentonville. Thank you Lifetime!!
Thanks for sharing this video! As a European it can be frustratingly hard to try and follow the gravel scene and gravel races over there. Keep up the good work!
Great re-cap! Well done Lifetime. You keep making improvements. I was impressed that you added the separate pro women's start mid-season. Keep up the good work!
This is fantastic footage and content . My only complaint is the sounds editing. I was constantly having to turn up and down the volume. Love to see this type of footage for all the races . Thanks
Thank you Lifetime Grand Prix organizers for this excellent series! Competition keeps getting better! How awesome is it to see a full race from start to finish! Congratulations to all the athletes! That was some truly entertaining racing. That men's finish was something!! And what a strong racer Kasia! Disappointed in Sophia for dropping out hope she didn't just drop out cause she couldn't keep up with Kasia
Awesome, awesome awesome coverage ! I pray more coverage like this in future for USA cycling (of all types) and hopefully some LIVE coverage too. Comon Walton's, $$$$ subsidize some coverage
Inspiring to watch such a great coverage of a gravel race. Continue with that. And nobody expected the Norwegian “amateur” to take the victory. Hope to see Torbjørn getting a ticket to the 24 Lifetime series🇳🇴🇳🇴
Thank you for this great coverage and for getting it out so quickly! Really hope you can keep doing this for all LTGP events next year, it makes a huge difference for us fans and should really help grow the base.
What an incredible team! This is a fantastic achievement in showcases Gravel! You guys have set the benchmark now on what it takes to up your game! I hope you continue to receive support and Big ups to all brands who came to the party! This is where you should run a World Cup or Champship that does not have anything to do with the UCI. Do not let them ever high jack this event!!!
Brendan Johnston is on fire at the moment and will be one to watch for next year; I hope he gets the support he deserves for next year, his phone should be ringing hot
I don't know if the commentary from the helicopter was part of the live transmission, but they should be plugged in the sound recorders and this track should be used for the final mix
One day there will be gravel racing without pavement… I hope. Reminds me of the 80s when some DH tracks had uphill sections … Good coverage thanks. Ps pay the riders more !
24:36 Is the commentator just stupid to say its a rear derailleur issue or bike companies don't allow to say that single speed front chainrings are a huge risk of dropping your chain ?
@@adrenaline33867Which ALL of the other girls can also do…? If she is drafting behind them why aren’t the other girls simply sitting on her wheel? I’m not her biggest fan but this is just sour grapes.
@@ryansullivan3870Hahaha you don’t actually believe that do you? She was very clearly trying to beat/stay with Kasia for half of the race then suddenly decided to “just enjoy the race”… who does that? Basically when she realised she couldn’t stay with Kasia she quit. Simple as that.
One of the great things about gravel events is that riders of all abilities can participate, but starting the short-distance riders later probably wouldn't work logistically. A solution could be a finishers lane for the shorter-distance riders that is set up after the front of their race arrives. Seems also a bit of a challenge, though Lifetime probably has the resources to make it happen. On the other hand, there is a certain charm to keeping it the way that it is, as it acknowledges that it's a mixed event.
@@mariocipollini1998yeah, yeah, we know all that. Have you seen how dangerous the last two UnBound finishes were? A separate, safe finish line for the shorter distances won’t impact their experience in any meaningful way. The question is, do the promoters care enough about rider safety to make a change without first having a shorter event rider take down the lead pack of pros sprinting for the win.
good coverage but someone in Bentonville could be given a serving of some humble pie. MTB World Capital of the World, it it not LOL. Please be realistic...
First of all, very nice coverage. If I have to point out a few niggles… The helicopter shots were cool, but a bit overused at times. I’d like more effort to get ground level shots of the racers, and not from the rear. I like to see faces, not the backs of jerseys. Also, too many cutaways to the commentators in the air. Keep the focus on the racers, and not the talking heads. Otherwise, very nice production values. I really liked the racer profile vignettes.
As great as the cinematography is for this series- I almost wish I didn’t watch! I was a fan of Sophia in the past, but she came across as an overall awful human being in this series. Her visible distaste for Hannah, threatening to “take out” another rider after the crash; yet in the next breath bragging how other women can’t handle riding with her because she’s so aggressive. Not to mention she seems to have zero passion for bike racing - her attitude in general about that was weird. Pete is pretty insufferable as well, but at least I think his heart is in the right place.

Time out, the commentator said it was hot out, maybe about 70 degrees. Um.. they're either racing in perfect fall weather in fahrenheit, or they're on the surface of venus.
This is a perfect excellent example of how gravel racing can be covered, I hope the UCI take note for the World Championships next year.
But its not live? 😂
And if they televise the women that would be good to.
I agree, except for the use of a helicopter! Sound is terrible and they could just use several drones for the footage.
Uci should stay out of gravel and mtb please

Awesome coverage, apparently it can be done in gravel. Thanks Lifetime for putting the money and effort in to capture the action.

70° is hot?
Are some of these bikes mullet?
Sound mix is a mess. Needs fixing.
can someone buy them actually working microphones ?
Cool
why did Sofia quit racing? injury or just not up to the level?
She had already secured the overall win mathematically speaking, so she decided to enjoy the last race of the season
Maybe cus she didn’t have the *questionable* competitive advantage of drafting off the elite men when it’s a mass start
