Exceeding the standard is “The Standard”. Training should always be continuous and progressive. The same methodologies we use to train, progress, and maintain currency as aviators, is exactly what works the best for training, progressing, and maintaining currency as divers. Over train, and train hard while in training, so the dive later on will be easy. 😎👊🏻

the training material and materials are great, not a cheap version of gue, in any other agency an ow instructor, can be any person with the dive master course and idc, in utd an istructor must have a next level of training, you will not see an open water instructor in utd teaching ow class, i meet 8 persons on utd and was tecnical divers with overhead level , i read all the idc materials and a chapter is missing, AND IS TEACHING , How to teach not just demostrate skills to the student , a real instructor must have experience as teacher, Jeff must add this, i believe that Ag still in the background, and they are not teachers, self made utd scuba instructors ,who start in other agencies, who share her know how, must add in the idc pedagogy - the profession of a teacher, keep scuba training as just an sport is the worst decision , any agency must evaluate the candidate to discard sexual ofenders, money scammers, dream sellers, our life depends on the instructor capacity, and he must know how to teach not just demostrate skills, scuba needs more preparation than some profesions, as the life of the student is in constant risk.

Hi, thank you for your kind words. Just a small remark. We have 3 chapters on the teaching methodology and how to teach our content. As well as the IDC presentations that will be given by the Instructor trainer. On top we have our “playbook” which completely and with great detail outlines the course structure and set up procedures for our classes. The last two are only available to our active instructor candidates on an active course.
