Here's a rundown of the build order, for those who want to copy it. Obvs Feudal age can change depending on the game. • Pop 2-7 vils to sheep • 8 to lure the Boar • 9-11 to wood • 12 to lure the Boar • 13 house, then mill • 14 boar • 15-19 to berries • Loom • Age up (Feudal Age) • Move 5 from sheep to wood • Build barracks, and 1 house • All new vils to wood • Build a stable w/ 2 vils, then wall with 1 • Move vils to build new farms so its 10 wood, 18 food, 5 gold • Double bit axe • Second lumber camp • Berry vils to farms • Vils 29-33 to gold • Research wheelbarrow & build blacksmith • Age up (Castle Age) Also, great vid, it was really helpful.
Loving these specific guides mate. As someone new, it's so nice to be able to follow something laid out like this. So many guides assume you already know everything and just feed you base information. Keep them coming!
You can try it even faster: pop18 by going to the berries before you go to wood and make up for it by using stragglers. not gonna lie this is extremly tight on the wood side and you need a nice concave woodline bc you wont have the luxury to place a second lumber camp until feudal age for 10 wood vils. but it should be enough for stable and wood upgrade but the food eco is really nice. alternativly: if you believe to be faster than everything the opponent can do (and he wont drush) you can delay loom until after feudal age this should give you a nice speed boost or one villager more. a small buildtiming optimization: a house takes 20% of the uptime to build and a barracks takes 40%. so to finish the barracks and the house with hitting feudal age you need to start at the appropriate time. with 6 on berries they will urn out super fast so i would pull one of them to build if the berries are forward. food is the limited resource in a build like this.
Thank you very much for the cool video. You have a faster castle time with that 19 pop scout rush than I usually do with my 22 pop scout Franks game :D I will try this out tonight in 12xx elo and I will report back how it worked :D
Im actually doing 19 pop scouts with franks, but with the normal 22 pop scouts build, minus the last 4 wood vils, plus an 11th vil on boar. I find i can get closer to the ideal 8:50 uptime more consistently this way, since with the build order in this video you have to execute things perfectly.
Thanks for the info. However I think this build is very tight for %95 of all players. In a ranked game, you might have your sheep stolen or be involved in a scout fight micro. 20 or 21 pop clean build is much better than a 19 pop sloppy build.
Hi, love your vids, keep it goin) actually i checked u on aoe2net and i can tell u rly like franks) can i ask what kind of early strat do you use the most? is it this 19pop scouts or do you vary by drush into fc knights or something like that? is there any advice for me as a 14xx-15xx elo mostly cav civs player, thx a lot)
I have not tested it, but it may be possible if you push in your deer in addition to your boar lures. This build alone though would not get you enough food to click up at 19 pop :/
Its hard to get Magyars under pop20 bc the hard part isnt creating the scouts once you are in feudal age, the hard part is getting up that fast. and the frank berries help that. deer pushing is tricky to get in bc there isnt that much time to take 2 boars and a deer before you need to click up. the fee far upgrade is alsos uper nice with the fast uptime. just from a feudal perspective: the free farm upgrade is 150 res and magyar scouts are 12 food cheaper so you need lots of scouts to come out ahead.
Is there any disadvantage in using this BO instead of the usual 21-22 pop scout? Have you seen any pros try it? Why/why not? Also, is this doable on serenget? How? Thanks!
You don't need to get a Mill first even, simply to saturate your boars properly with a standard 2w start. This is still far better than hera's build though.
This is still possible - the only adjustment here is take 1 less on the berries and put that villager onto sheep. The build should still run smoothly after that :)
@@HumzaCrumza Oh, either way it's worth noting the written description on your video is misleading even before this change. It says to send all vils after the mill one to berries but you sent the first one to boar (the mill one counts as one of the berry villagers at the end so if we follow the written instructions you'd get 7 on berries.)
Yes, but its actually a lot tighter unfortunately. I think to safely make it, put only 4 on berries initially instead of 6 and send the 2 vills you didn't put on berries onto your sheep. This will get you to 19 pop comfortably
Oh you definitely can, but I try to make the build order without deer as much as possible. Sometimes deer generation on arabia can either be very far out or behind woodlines. If you can add deer, definitely add them and it will make the build better

Just tried this build in a Serengeti game V Mayans. Worked like a charm! Great to see my favorite Civ getting some love.

Thanks for adding a civ specific build. This is great. Something new and not expected by opponent like standard builds available everywhere :)
You should check out some of his other build order vids, he has a few that are civ specific
@@jonnybamberg5692 yeah... I follow all his videos.. Great content.
Thanks for the amazing vid and all the pro comments below
Excelente video bro! keep it up. Love to play with the franks too. You should do a walling tips vid too. Would be really helpful for a lot of players.
Definitely interested in doing this! Going to be a few before I come out with this one though but it’s on the list

Since Magyar scouts are cheaper, would this build be viable with Magyars? Or maybe with some modifications.

@@hansoskar1911 from a feudal perspective magyars also get melee attack for free, saving lot of resources and time on building and researching

you can do 17-18 pop very similar but only 2 wood and make mill first. its tougher but doable

Ummm i think i orefer the Lithuanian 18 pop scouts more anyways great video
Lithuanians are solid - much more forgiving start and have a logical transition into Castle Age stable units. Big fan of them in FFA :)
You missed out the part about the stable in the description.
nice video but i see you should also keep your scouts in the box formation at the start..nice build though..
Nice bo :) but I think the 18 pop scout rush khmer is better, and u will up faster to castle age with khmer. Anyway good video 😉
Dont tell people to stop watching your video...
great videos, keep em coming
Is this still possible with the berry bonus recently nerfed to 15%? Or would we need to settle for something like 20 pop?

im confused with build order how do you advance to castle with only 1 stable built it says you need two dark age buildings
You need to build a blacksmith as well and you'll be set
It's a great video but i lost focus after you started talking about splitting the villagers
BO start 1:30
Can Franks still do it after the berry nerf?

How are you zoomed out so far?
You need a monitor that can handle it. 4K monitor will give you max zoom
