I'm so glad that I found your video. I was searching just for an actual play of ER and here's the whole solo playthrough with atmospheric "read aloud" scenes and detailed rules explanation. Awesome! Hope you'll have enough energy for a complete 30-days campaign🙌
Found your channel while looking for Earthborne Ranger content….. Great presentation that is helping me learn the game. Thanks a lot and consider me subscribed
This is a really fun game. I am on Day 7! And I love your background music and effects sounds and voices! 🤩 Just in case you are going to continue playing this, I thought I'd point out a few points that I have learned from the Discord server: - You can dodge an Obstacle in order to put Progress on something or otherwise act on a card beyond it. You still can't actually Travel by dodging it because Travel not during the Ranger Turns Phase. But there are times that building up some progress on a location while you have dodged an obstacle one round will be easier than having to clear the obstacle first. Maybe clearing the obstacle will be better during the next round. - When you scout cards, you can put ALL the scouted cards on the bottom of the deck and then draw "blind" the next card on top. This means when scouting your own deck with the Common test, if you only get to scout 1 card, you can decide to put it on bottom and draw the next card if you really don't want the one you scouted.
I am considering backing the campaign on GF and I was looking for a video that will give me an idea about what the game is about. This was an excellent showcase of the mechanics of the game and I am definitely backing the game.
Hello,Colin!! Great play through of a very interesting alternative to Arkham Horror. I like it, biscuits and all. Awesome voices by the way. Northern Outpost is my vote. Definitely keep going. It’s very very cool.
I know you want to show the cards, but wish you would have zoomed out. Areas are very important, and this would've been confusing if I weren't familiar with the game. Excellent explanations though! You have the best voice for narrating. Always love to hear you tell stories. :) Will be looking for more from you on this channel. :)
Loving, loving this. I really appreciate the time you put into explaining both the rules and the thought behind your choices. Two rules issues I saw. One, when performing a test, to initiate the test, you must first commit one or more energy tokens of the specified aspect. At one hour, 20 minutes in, with Arcology Sinkhole, I don't think you committed any green AWA tokens. You tried to run the test only with Approach Icons. .... Second, at one hour, five minutes, you play "Walk With Me" AFTER the Resolve Challenge Effects step of a Test. I don't think that's legal. Nothing in the rules allows playing cards IN RESPONSE to Challenge Effects resolution. I think you would have needed to have played that card out BEFORE the test, in order to use it. ... Finally, Reverb Locket (Traveler, 4 of 9) is an Expert card, not sure you are supposed to have that in a starting deck.
Holy cow Colin. I do not have much time for youtube anymore. Just found out you left onestop after watching a Voidfall review on Steve's new channel. Hope you and Bairnt continue to have fun together. It is a blast to watch. Really appreciate how the two of you are not buddy buddy with board game publishers.
