Kaunis Kuolematon's new offering has to be my top pick, a perfect feel for the depression season. Then Bloodred Hourglass, Decembre Noir and October Tide.

Heretoir - Nightsphere (A contender for AOTY... what a year)
Domhain - Nimue (Technically an EP, but damn what a concept)
Both albums basically scream Fall/Winter and are atmospheric as f.... but still heavy

My 2 most anticipated october Metal albums are:
1) MYRKUR "Spine" (oct 20th)
2) ASAGRAUM "Veil of Death, Ruptured" (oct 20th): excellent 100% female Black Metal band from Norway & Netherlands

I'm definitely going to check out from your recommendations The Lion's Daughter and Wayfarer. Here's what I already had on my radar.

4. Myrkur - Spine

I was really pleased to see Svalbard on the thumbnail! I caught them at ArcTanGent, a post-rock, math and post-metal festival in the UK over the summer and was so totally blown away. All the singles have been superb and I'm sure the album will be worth the Weight... of the mask 😁

October looks like a great music month! Thanks for the Decembre Noir update I forgot that one. Poppy looks pretty interesting! I'll have to try out Sulphur Aeon Lion's Daughter, and Stortregn. October TIde is a great band and the one I would also mention is Heretoir, although it's not as good as their album The CIrcle.
Unfortunately, that October Tide album was HELLA disappointing!

I ll listen some of them (svalbard, decembre noir and thing not in like on thorn I lay), you've made me want to listen to capra, but if I'm talking in terms of the albums I'm looking forward to, there's really only Earthside.

October tide and December noir are on point. Sulfur aeon slats. So much good memo death death doom lately. I tink anymore melodeath and melodeath doom is like just my main wheelhouse anymore

Check out Bacterial Husk..sick death metal from Mass. Got their CD in the MetalHead box and it sounds great.
I'm most looking forward to Aftermath by Angelus Apatrida. Their last album was pure thrash metal goodness.

Sulphur Aeon's "Seven Crowns and Seven Seals" is the most anticipated album of the year, if not decade for me. The dude who said he's not familiar with the band needs to correct that error ASAP because he's really missing out on some top tier German blackened death metal.

I’m surprised you’re not more excited for Carnifex. A lot of black metal influence with their stuff.
We're not huge on Deathcore, but we're certainly intrigued by this release.
Crown Black Sky´s new album Sidereal Light Vol.II will be a really kick ass album!!

Same here, one of those bands with a flawless discography so far. I wouldn't call them symphonic btw, more if there ever was a band to be called "Lovecraftian", Sulphur Aeon is that band.
They're also re-releasing their demo "Sulphur Psalms" the same day I believe
