I live on a 400 acre farm that I work on non-stop. I've tackled more jobs around here listening to Hatebreed & Throwdown than everything else combined. Some 4whlr trails i made 20yrs ago, I still remember the albums I jammed, or 2 stepping with a chainsaw while drenched in sweat, ticks, & saw dust. Thank you both for the years of motivation & memories.
Throwdown hails from my stomping grounds in Orange County California, i had the pleasure of seeing them open for Danzig back in 09' they were an absolute staple for me growing up,i listened to them non stop when i would warm up during my high school wrestling tournaments.
Great conversation. I actually loved the direction Throwdown took on the last two records. Just seemed like a natural evolution for these guys. You can only re-write and do variations on "Raise Your Fist" so many times..
I really loved Venom and Deathless, Avow seemed like a half step backward. I like the earlier stuff too but love when bands evolve. I got into them around Haymaker. I don't think they have made a bad album yet.
Great interview! Venom and Tears is my favorite but Deathless is a very close second. The way people reacted to it though reminded me of From Bliss to Devastation by VOD, which I also thought was an amazing album. It would rule if VOD, Hatebreed and Throwdown did a tour together.
@@rickyiglesias5384 Yes! I love The Machineshop. I think God Forbid ended up filling in for them. My quick research says it was FFDP, Shadow's Fall, (was supposed to be) Throwdown and 2 Cents. We were there for Shadow's Fall and Throwdown. 2 Cents (RIP) was a great surprise; Humor metal! God Forbid was pretty good. I remmeber Doc Coyle yelling "We are the real black metal band!" Haha.
I’ll be honest I didn’t like Deathless. It sounds like Godsmack to me. But I really dug Intolerance. I truly appreciated the return to form. Haymaker/Vendetta/Venom are all classics to me.
First time I saw Throwdown was on a show with Hatebreed, Otep, Chimera and someone else. I guess you guys have just did a show in Dallas and had a few days off so you pulled a few bands off tour and stopped through Shreveport. I met Jaime in the mall. I was the airbrush artist there and in walks Jamie and a few dudes from Hatebreed!!!!! I was so fucking stoked I couldn’t concentrate. He had me make a few shirts on the fly. One said “Headbangers Baller.” I ended up getting out on the list and had a blast that night. Ben was drumming for Throwdown at the time and I remember being super pumped standing off the side watching him do his thing. I’ll NEVER forget that one show.
Pretty sure i saw Throwdown and Hatebreed at Higher Ground in Burlington Vermont like 2005 or 2006. Idk i was always pretty drunk and def took a few shots to the dome in the pit over the yrs. Anyway I def just saw Throwdown at New England Metal and Hardcore festival. The only thing that would have made that weekend better would be if Hatebreed was there. It was KSE 25 yr anniversary and then the festival closed with Slaughter to Prevail full pro what a wild set Alex Terrible is effing terrifying in person at least while performing.
As much as I HATE the Pantera reunion, ("There is no Pantera without Dimebag Darrell." Vinny Paul) still think Mark Choiniere (guitars on Deathless & Venom and Tears) would have been a better stand in for Dime than Zakk. RIPVINDIME 🤘🤠🤘
THROWDOWN ON HATEBREEDS 30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR.. PLEASE!!! I DONT GIVE A FUCK WHERE THAT TOUR IS IM GOING. MOSH N FUCKING ROLL. P.S. ORLANDO OR TAMPA LOL
There's a part on Deathless where the phrasing is EXACTLY the same as a Pantera Shedding Skin, nevertheless still the record I enjoy from them the most. Dave is a cool dude.
Just like you dont talk to Billy Idol that way, you do not talk shit about FORCE OF HABIT by EXODUS. Minus two stinker covers it is an all killer no filler record. Thorn In My Side is a thrashtastic mosh heavy tune. The video is perfect. Architect of Pain is in fact a song Gary Holt wants to play live. I will die on this hill

Deathless is my favourite album of all time! Proper well rounded album start to finish!
Love all things Throwdown. And always will!
Love Dave and Throwdown. Deathless and Venom are such good albums

Love Throwdown, I want another Deathless album. Their heavy stuff was always good but Deathless was when they came into their own.
Throwdown was such an underrated band from that era. Great fuckin band and Dave Peters is a solid vocalist and solid song writer.

Deathless is a top 10 album for me. Idk what anybody says. It's a masterpiece.
And I'm an old head too.
Y'all Be Blessed

Throwdown straight edge??)))
@@Александр-т9ю3е What?
Throwdown - Pantera
Methadone - Heroin
Both of those have saved my life.

Dave going for world's biggest widow's peak at this point
Deathless is hands down my fav Throwdown record, and i have been a fan since the haymaker days
Kazaa is a throwback. Throwdown is bad ass. I didn't know they were still going 🤯
Honestly, I was MOST into the Venom & Tears ThrowTera era stuff. Hope they don't abandon that.

Keith and Beyond Repair did Baby Got Back here in Orange County a couple months ago and it was great.

Cloudkicker is dope they're a post-rock/metal. All I know it's the solo project of a pilot. Cite the name

Throwdown miss that band
I am pretty sure you guys play ozzfest together. But since that is a festival, not sure if you consider it a show together 🤔
2004
I know exactly which song you're talking about in the beginning... I've been trying to find that song... what's the actual name?!? 😂😂😂
Soulseek!!
100% 2003 and I still use it til day to fill up my old Ipod Gen 8

All Exodus rules, PERIOD
Add full blown chaos and sworn enemy if they still exist.
They do
