Some pro tips: -INTRO: You can save space with the comparator by setting it to subtract mode and giving it a signal strength of 7 on it's side. My modpack let me do this with Hopper Ducts from the Hopper Ducts mod, but you can also do this by having a storage drawer filler with 14 stacks of something and giving it a redstone upgrade. Or, if you're going (near) fully vanilla, you can always put two cobblestone swords + 16-32 cobblestone into a hopper, and run a comparator out of that to get a signal strength of 7, which you run into the side of the comparator in subtract mode. So, assuming north is where the subtract comparator is facing, and that the tank is on the west, just place a block north of the subtract comparator, place a redstone dust west of that block, and another block south of that dust. And it should be right next to your redstone sensitive Mekanism pipe. This cuts the width of the build down by almost half. -PURIFICATION: You can use a valve block from Deepresonance to automatically filter out any liquid that isn't 85% pure. -LASER: Ghast tears also increase the strength and efficiency, with a 100% cap. Same as nether stars, but will cost more RF. But they're more easily automatable! ...at least, with some mods.
I tried doing the redstone for myself, but my silly self thought that I needed 5 buckets of lava, and not 50%. It was only after following the guide and then re-reading the manual that I then noticed my dumb self. Once again, modded minecraft exposes how bad I am at math. I haven't had a math blunder that made me feel this stupid since I spent a whole afternoon trying to calculate all the raw materials I'd need to make an IC2 Fluid Reactor, only to get literally all of my math wrong. Edit: It turns out my woes were because I was playing a different version of the mod, where the tank had a different size in it. And it got me confused. Anyways, at least I figured out how to get 100% quality fluid EVENTUALLY... Oh, and as an Age of Engineering player, I salute you for using mods that are in that pack for the video. Makes it very convenient, and it made me learn how easy it is to get basic Mekanism blocks early on. And you can use bees to generate the ore in that pack, too!
This seems like it could be an excellent way to get a burst of high power when needed but you could also use it as your main power source if you produce crystals that produce lower power but last a long time. I will have to check out if productive bees and mystical agriculture can get you the resonating ore, or if there is another way to generate the ore.
I can't seem to get the laser firing, using mekanism cables, it has power, emeralds and empty cystals, orange and blue bars filled, tanks have RCL, and 2 blocks space between lasers and tank (like in vid)

To automate the crystal process yeah but it can be done cheaper when doing it manually but the total crystal output is massive compared to other fuels.

There's uses for the spent filters, Dense Glass and Dense Obsidian, what uses they have? Im guessing just different looks, maybe higher blast resistance? So i just need a ton of stars.... rip.
Dense glass and obsidian are how you keep the radiation contained. You can use filters to raise it up pretty far to reduce star usage…also you could get a stasis chamber from another mod to collect stars.

Redstone signal or lens on the tank
i think going with fusion reactor and turbine is going to be more sustainable than this
Your probably not wrong but still a cool reactor for late game.

Would be nice to know how many filters, emeralds, and nether stars are needed to go from 0 - 100% for 1 Perfect crystal...

Ghast tears work as well, if you can automate those. They take longer and use more RF but they're generally easier to automate.
