    The problem is patience and sometimes financial stability. The moral is never to sell in a panic. History shows that everything has gone up over time.

    Crazy being in the UK where fusion strike, brilliant stars and astral all being available to buy for £130-£145, and then on the other side of the pond seeing US prices for paldea and twilight Masquerade going for 150-170
    Not sure what to make of seeing that to be honest but seems that the US market has gone absolute bonkers right now. Will be interesting to see prices next summer when everything naturally dips along with the possibility of future reprints 😅

    • @monkey39128
      @monkey39128 День назад

      Yeah I don't know what's going on with our Fusion stock. Feels like we got America's supply and they got ours. 😂 I think it would be all gone but they've put that bloody one per customer limit on it

    • @RyanOrWelshy
      @RyanOrWelshy День назад

      I was wondering the same with Fusion Strike. I’ve bought two booster boxes from Pokemon Center at £144 a box as I think it should rise in price whenever it eventually sells out. Given the age of the set, it shouldn’t be much more than a year before that price starts to increase.
      Oddly enough, there are sales on eBay for £150-160 a booster box in the UK.

    • @pokemattsden
      @pokemattsden День назад

      @monkey39128 Yeah I would say the same but it's 1 per order. You can still order 10 boxes on a single occasion but they just have to be bought separately per order. I think they have partly done this because it stops people from obtaining sealed cases, as even when I've ordered 6 in separate orders it doesn't come in a case.
      There's either a shortage of demand here or we got over supplied for sure. But if we were over supplied it doesn't make sense to make the limit of 1 per customer if they were trying to get rid of it 🤷‍♂️
      We have a strange market here in the UK for sure 😆

    • @pokemattsden
      @pokemattsden День назад

      @RyanOrWelshy Ebay your paying a £6-16 premium to be able to view the booster boxes and make sure they are in good condition.
      With PC you run the risk of smalls tears and rips in the plastic seal as there packaging consists of a couple of bands of green or clear air wraps which sometimes aren't even protecting the box it's just there to stop the box from jumping around all over the place in the delivery box 😆

    • @RyanOrWelshy
      @RyanOrWelshy День назад

      @@pokemattsden fair point - the risk paid off in this instance as both booster boxes arrived unscathed thankfully.

    Isn’t it low risk to buy new sets at retail price $100-$110 and just hold them and not worrying about reprints? Sure a reprint will possible make it go to $90 but not worrying too much about small downside knowing that after the printing stops it goes up again.

      Where are you finding those? The cheapest I've found now are €115 and most are €120 and above... (still a lot cheaper than the US though😛) But yeah if they bought them here in Europe, it won't make a big different for them either as they have to pay high shipping and import fees... If the prices over here would be that high I'd probably wait... Then again, we have to pay a lot more to get those PC ETB's over here so i guess it kinda compensates like that...😅
