Only the player hears that or other teammates hear it I think, I don’t think enemies hear it
His TP so loud you’d have to use his moving on voiceline to at least damper the chances of being caught.
A reaper tip I implore for anyone trying to pick him up; if your not killing the tank or the supports are not dying go after DPS. I’m not talking about once or twice no literally hard focus the enemy DPS. When taking their DPS away it will allow your team to win a fight (hopefully).

Usually I'll constantly try to flank if I'm not/can't flank, I'll actually try to get the enemy tank/dps AWAY from MY tank/healers

The most obvious reaper tip is trying to get used to dodging enemy CD with Wraith (Hook, Earthshatter, sleep) and then cancel wraith.
In certain duel you can wraith and cancel to quickly reload.
You can dodge certain abilities with teleport though mostly for DVA bombs because it's pretty slow and hard to use.
You can also teleport on yourself while on cover to make ppl think you went away (pretty edge case and position dependant)

Yes, probably the best comment I’ve seen, in order for him to survive you must be good at dodging and your aim must be good so you can get constant heals from his reaping shots. Flanking of course is also very important.

Thats literally how i play as reaper, i use wrath more as a dodge and cancel
Wraith reloads your shotguns like Cassidy roll so if you’re in a duel or multiple duels you can get off 16 shots before needing to reload
I've pretty much always played reaper with the first 2 playstyle combined. I like to drop onto an enemy support (mercy if possible to stop the res) then wraith over to my team and focus the tank with my tank. Assuming my team is capable of living for a couple seconds, this almost always wins team fights.

@@Eadwulf_Skald reaper is highly underrated, he straight forward character and hard to master. What makes reaper that turn off many players is his limited range which is expected from a hero that uses shotgun. Also notice in reaper videos despite engaging close quarter you actually need to aim properly in order to get the pellets hits. So another aiming with reaper is a legit thing. Reaper's damage is no joke and what makes awesome is his passive damage-Vamp that makes him perfect 👌 for solo que! On top of that there are sooo many synergies with many of the supports especially with ana and mercy they can buff reaper to make him a true monster! Aside from everything I just said I also love his personality as edgelord and the fact he is a Mexican born in los angeles California that serves in U.S. military soo that also speaks to me! 😁

If he could shoot slugs from across the point with no damage fall-off he'd be so toxic for the game.
So it's fun to find some fun approaches and rack up the kills up close.
back in overwatch 1 it was flashbangs too. It was the best feeling in the world fighting a mcree watching his flash and fan go straight through you
Zenyattas are your bread and butter if you decide to flank. They have no ability to escape other than to kill you. Don’t go for dps heroes most of the time and look to weaken the enemy by killing their supports and tank. Reaper is very good at getting the jump on people because he can tp behind them and 1 or 2 pump squishy characters in the head.

i really want to master Reaper. For damage , my comfort pick is Pharah but mid-to-long hotscan are all really good. and Sojourn is overtuned right now so I sometimes struggle with her.

you just need to remember 3 things when using reaper 1 dont be afraid to die thats how you throw games for your team he is supposed to be hard to kill. 2 always try to get 1 on 1s with supports if not focus tank and 3 wraith form gives you a free reload
Another tip I have with Reaper is basically whatever you do, keep fighting, engage as hard as possible and always try your best to aim for the head, I managed to solo team wipe without ult due to headshots, most important thing to do is also to dodge CC abilities

only key thing i seen that you missed was how important it is having a free reload using wraith form its very useful and a lot of enemys can easily be tricked if you need to reload do so fall back and use wraith 90% of the time they will push thinking they have the upper hand then push back stop wraith form and put them in a bodybag
Not sure if it was said, but if youre in a close situation and are almost out of ammo: using the wraith form will fill your ammo again
I think mixing the two reaper playstyle is the most effective that you can get.
You can cancel wraith form early to quickly dodge an attack and surprise them by attacking quickly after, helpful when dueling someone
Using wraith form as a quick dodge when the target is low instead of waiting the entire thing out and running away, you surprise the enemy and basically get a free shot on them and if they are mid-low and you hit their head it’s a kill. This secures the kill by not letting them run away and/or get healed
Don't forget that you can cancel the animation for the reload with a melee.

Been having a real hard time with my boy Reaper over the last few months. I am fully willing to admit I might just be bad lol. I used to be pretty effective with him. Lately I feel like I unload my shotguns on a target and they'll have more health by the time I reload than when I started. and If I have to reload they are basically at full health by the time I can aim again. there's just so much armor gain, healing, self healing, and invulnerability that the assassin play style is much harder than it used to be. Getting hooked by a Roadhog used to be the best thing that could happen to me, now it's a death sentence.
tried to start going after healer's but they are much smaller targets and they can teleport, fly, superjump, wall run, become immortal, boop, and literally move through walls to get away from me where my shotguns are far less effective and many of them also do a solid amount of damage.

If your TPing up to a mcree, widow or sojourn, almost immediately use a wraith so you don't get 1 shot as soon as you spawn.
When reaper reloads, you can mele to cancel the reload animation i think
Yep just melee as soon as you see the 8 bullets in your mag this will save a little bit of time.

Hi Platinum 3 reaper main here... Of course that was on OverWatch 1.... Let me tell you they nerfed my boy into the ground. There have been moments where I have gotten 16-point blank headshots on tanks or DPS and do little to no damage because the slightest amount of heels is enough to completely shut down reaper's damage in any form other than his ultimate. Specifically against tanks. You have my respect simply because you got the footage but I'm honestly wondering how long you had to play to get the footage because with my 600 plus hours in reaper alone got flushed down the toilet the moment OverWatch two became a thing

teleports are good to combo with his ult, just gotta make sure you teleport to somewhere they either cant see you or wont see you cus of everything thats going on
Small tip when you use wraith form you reload so it's good to use and instantly shoot so you can spam another 8 shots good in 1v1s

Played 7 games so far today as Reaper; and got POTG in 6/7 of them. 5/7 were competitve and got POTG in all the competitive games today. I play my best when being aggresive, but also making sure I respect mine and my enemies cooldowns. Been playing mainly to win the Tank fight, and then the enemy team just tends to fall apart.
A personal tip from me would be to always walk into the Reinhardt shield and blast him in his face whenever it's safe to do so. As Reaper you are a huge threat to Rein. Get your teammates aware that you're trying to down him and let them support you while you blast him.
As for my rank; I was mid platinum in OW1, currently sitting Gold 3 in season 3 having not played much since OW1 as I've been playing a lot of WoW but i beleieve climbing shall be easy enough with the new rank system; I know many aren't fans of it but I quite like it so far as it feels a lot less punishing to get losses. I believe I have potential to reach Diamond and above with Reaper, and I'm excited to continue my journey.
Update: I am now Diamond 5 just 1 tricking Reaper and still carrying games in Diamond!

I am very new to overwatch just installed it a few days ago I’ve only picked up player reaper and mercy since they fit my style the most thanks for the reaper guide.
There was one tip I saw a while back: When the enemy team is retreating, tp behind them to clear them out.
I'm a reaper main so this is super helpful to know these tips. I was playing a little like these playstyles but this definitly helps me out with knowing how to play better and knowing how to enact the max damage i can do. I can't wait to try these new playstyles seeing how much better i am as reaper

im best with reaper in control point defense, but not much else. any tips? i just started playing. are there cherecter upgrades
A few things wrong here. Reaper should ALWAYS be flanking no matter what comp your team or the enemy team has. The ONLY times you should be with your team is when you have zero cooldowns. Your play style does not switch because of your comp or the enemy’s. Every game on every map you should use your tp to flank and use your wraith to get out of a bad situation. Also, don’t focus the tank, focus whoever is killable. If the tank is killable then focus the tank, but reaper is great at getting assassinations on smaller targets as well
So what’s the plan for reaper when they play quad tank and all group up?
Wraith step also reloads his shotguns.

@@grammarp3263 that doesn’t make the reload faster. Throwing the shotguns in the normal reload and the debunked melee reload have the same lockout reload time. He still has to pull out the shotguns after the melee pause.
In a tough spot if you need a quick reload, pop shadow form and immediately cancel it for a full reload instantly
Honestly, everything he says is great. I got Plat 5 with reaper effortlessly, and I just stuck around the team and picked out the tank.
Here r the tanks from ez to hard to pick off ( from my experience)
Easiest:
Roadhog
Rammatra
Easy:
Dva ( watch out for the matrix tho )
Winston ( not on easiest because of the shield, kinda annoying to duel.)
Meh:
Orisa ( watch out for javelin spin and the throw, this will really ruin your day.)
Zarya ( annoying bubble, DON'T Pop )
Doomfist ( The blocking negates the whole damage you could even do, and he escapes quickly if you don't kill him fast enough)
Reinhard ( shield is annoying, blocks ults alot )
Another tip: if you cant take out dps/support/tank then you need abuse flanking plays. Flanking plays will give you the opportunity to charge up your ultimate when dealing damage to any of the dps/support/tank if they are not dying. It’s okay if you die, in situations like those abuse flanking and deal damage to charge up your ultimate so you can get a sneaky blossom kill. Regarding on that, when you do have the ultimate ready don’t use the same flank you did when you were doing damage to charge up your ult. Instead stay with your team, group up if you have to. You have to use a different flank near your team when your blossom is ready, you have to make sure the enemy team is full distracted from your team so you can get those blossom kill for defending the point or payload. Hope this makes sense.
Edit: another thing I forgot to mention, if the flanking play isn’t working and your ultimate is barely charging. Then stick with your team for a bit, then like when your ultimate is like 3/4 fully charged, then use the flanking play when it’s safe so you can damage tanks or support or dps to get it fully charged and vice versa.

To anyone who plays apex play this game i played it today (well yesterday as of the time of this comment) and all o had to learn was movement mechanics and hero style, it really doesn't take long to find a main or to start having fun
Don't get me wrong I lobe apex but this game let's you have fun and have skill at the same time (I have never played overwatch till yesterday morning
What about if you struggle at tracking where your target is
A tip a learnd the hard way is when you rush the tank get close and dont get far if the rush goes wrong use your wraith form to get out of the problem.
Of course if the tank is alone.
Use ult as a counterdive sometimes not as a super kill ult.

You forgot the most important tip: playing doom music while fighting with reaper you will instantly gain x2 damage.

I just started playing ow2 today and I'm already gonna focus on mastering reaper. I'm previously a cod player so flanking and getting up close fits my playstyle. I'm still learning not to push people on my own but it's pretty fun character to use when utilizing his strengths.
Welcome. Just don't be frustrated when you die, it's very common in this game oh and don't be disappointed thinking you'll do bad. At the end of the day it's a team game and one man can't carry alone no matter how good they do. Keep slaying and putting in that practice tho
@Buddy Love much appreciated. I found out the hard way I cant just main 1 person or I would get countered hard. Sometimes it felt like some games I couldn't do anything at all. It is a fun learning experience tho

@@dalton2592 I salute you. I love and respect supports fr, if you're doing good then it's up to the rest to know how not to get damaged alot and to pull back and get healed. As a diamond support myself that's the hardest role I played, u can do really well with dmg and heals and then folks still blame you for dying when they're deep in enemy backlines practically unreachable and not even focusing the squishes

This unfortunately has been disproved. The melee animation takes up the same amount of time as the rest of the reload so it doesn't save you any time, it just adds a little damage.

im a reaper main but its been very difficult in QP to get a lot of value in my experience because there are tanks and supports that just delete you from existence, supports are stronger now than they have ever been and Reapers damage output is very low, even spending hours on aim trainers has helped a little but i dont feel im getting maximum value from the aim trainer in game or from other aim trainers, any tips to maximise the consistency of my aim?
What do you mean with Reaper's damage output being very low? He can easily delete any squishie with two shots man
If you're not doing enough damage maybe you're not hitting enough pellets from his blast? Are you perhaps too far away? The spread on the Hellfire shotguns is quite big.
A trick I've heard/used is to aim at their _neck_ with his guns. You can usually 2 burst a 200hp if i remember correctly?
People usually run a "circle with dot" crosshair on him. Usually with spread off. As long as you get most of the shot in on target between 10 to 0 meters you'll get that one/two tap.

Tf you on about by low damage output? Reaper uses shotgun. Literally the entire gimmick of a shotgun is close range

Reaper tip. When using wraith mode to rush into battle to use your ult, text to the enemy team that your going to ult then you can ult.

I'd say be aware of your giant reaper guy head. You can be easy pickings for a sniper if you peek them. Just don't do it. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE STOP SPAMMING JUMP (that last note is for me)
