Not sure I would call this place "world famous", but it is definitely famous in San Diego. It's stunning.

...wow, only 110 view in over 3 months...? This is such a well-made, well-narrated production & site 'intro,' highlighting the many and vital safety rules, etc., So many pilots at so many other sites can learn much from this, e.g., the concept of the "Window" and why it is controlled the way it is...one aircraft at a time, no turns except upon launch or starting landing approach, etc. The "gliders flying north have right of way," I assume , is because the bluffs are to their right, following ridge soaring rules elsewhere.

Going here is like living in an HOA....you have to pay sign a waver and have certifications and memberships. Like i can do this anywhere in Washington state that i want to.

No. No powered aircraft at the Gliderport per the SD Muni rules.

@@Paiadakine We used to fly from the RC strip within Black Mountain Park, across the street from the glider launch area, but now is prohibited and a sign posted. We lost a great launching site because of a few irate homeowners as well as some pilots flying right over houses that prompted the city to close it. This is, unfortunately, a common scenario for the paramotor community.

If you get confused, you can just watch what the tandems do and do the opposite.

😂😅 too many rules to think about when you should just be concentrating on actually flying , just fly with your eyes open and you should be good 😂
