Assumptions can be a counterfeit too. I believe it to be a dangerous message where we get comfortable in our sin and count on being saved because he's already chosen us.

Actually if you believe you are chosen...it's the reverse because you will be watchful of the good fruits that Christ is bearing in you.

All non-Adventists think they are already saved. This is why they preached "Once Saved; Always Saved". But they do not know that they are bundling themselves for fire.

Jesting & preaching on salvation from eternal death is carnal indeed!

How hard he tried. The plan was pre set yes but not all would be saved. God for-knew Jeremiah, David, John, everyone of his sheep. God also for-knew Satan and His angels, and every wicked person. Yet God knows each of his sheep, not one would be lost. God certainly died for all but he knew each who was his and each who wasn't. God's grace, not our goodness. But how hard he makes it. Doug bachelor would have been easier to swallow

“Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭10:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭6:65‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Unless you are drawn from God you can’t come to the Jesus. Unless Jesus is lying

2 Peter is referring to the Beloved, the "us" having long suffering for us...which he defines later in the chapter for long suffering to mean salvation. The other people he mentioned early in the chapter are like the antideluvian who scoffed at Noah's preaching (120 year I might add)...interesting thing is based on God's foreknowledge He makes an ark just big enough for the animals and Noah's family...but still let's Noah preach...ask yourself why?
Lastly you didn't "choose" to read all of Romans 8. You qoute that God predestines all, but to what? If it's not to salvation, as you rightfully point out many will be lost, then is it to just hear is calling like those in Noah's time?? Remember 2 Peter words "Long suffering" means salvation. This doctrine of freewill is one passed on by the Catholic church, to the Anglican church, to the Methodist church, right into Adventism.

Religious blindness on display. He holds to his error. Cannot bear the shame of "falling from such a height. He is a pastor". And yet I love Him. And all seventh day Adventists. They understand very much, but not grace. Neither do they understand that JESUS is the end of all our works toward righteousness. Whosoever believes has entered into that test. Whosoever keeps the law, will he therefore be saved?... sad. If they fail to keep Saturday... They perish. They miss the whole truth about God's rest. They have to keep that law. What a burden to carry...and miss God's rest

Hello brother Brian, thank you for the concern. We are saved by grace. No one has ever been saved by their works. God has only and always had one way to save mankind "the everlasting gospel" Do we still have sin in the world today? How does the Bible define sin? It says sin is lawlessness, breaking God's law. 1 John 3:4 It's clear from the Bible, Matthew 1:21 that Jesus came to save us from sin and he intends to, with our cooperation remove sin from our lives. He intends to give us victory over every sin that besets us. He will not leave us in the same mess He found us in. It's unbiblical to think God saves us and then leaves us to stay in bondage to sin. So if I know that stealing is a sin and I refuse to stop where does that leave me? In rebellion. Rev. 3:5 is clear, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life…" A true saving relationship with Christ leads to a life of obedience to His commands and that includes His Ten Commandments. This is evidence of walking with Christ, not something we do to earn salvation. The Sabbath is a gift of resting in Christ, and the Bible gives us abundant evidence to pin point that day. The Scripture is also clear, there is another power that has attempted to change that day of rest and it will lead to a final choice for mankind in the end. (Rev 13, 14) Worship God according to His Commandments or Worship the beast on the day he has chosen. I hope that helps. When he reads ephesians 1:3-5 you can notice how struggle he is trying distort the verses so you believe something different than the text. Ephesians 1:3 comes from Genesis 1:28
So the man was elected before the foundation of the world and he was blessed by God. Then the devil planted his seed in Eve and God separate the cassels in her womb. So she had two kids one was the son of the devil and the other was the son of God.
" 11. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,
    12. not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous.
    1 John 3:11-12
If you don't understand that there's two seed you will not understand the Bible. Jesus came to saved what was lost. Not the seed of the devil but his children he blessed them in Genesis 1:28
Cain wasn't include in them. Jesus explained in the parable of the wheat and the tares.
    24¶Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
25“but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
26“But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
27“So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
28“He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
29“But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
30‘Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”
So God didn't plant the tares it was the devil. That's what he explained
37¶He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38“The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
39“The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
40“Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.
41“The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,
42“and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43“Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
