After the death of Charlie Harper played by Charlie Sheen, Alan Harper played by Jon Cryer faces the reality of moving out of his brother's beach house - until he meets a depressed Internet billionaire Walden Schmidt played by Ashton Kutcher whose wife just left him. I don't think it was just that but the dumb boy act on Jake got old as he got older. When he was younger it was cute and funny as he got old it was just stupid look on him.

You'll notice that when Walden enters the scene for the show the episodes basically go" ok....increase the sex jokes by about 85% and we should be good"

I tried to after Charlie left but it was painful to sit through for the last couple. Ashton was better in That’s 70s Show. He’s a funny guy, don’t get me wrong but this show didn’t really suit him.

I miss two and a half men. Such a loss when Berta died. She was great. Jake, your uncle Charlie would be so proud.
This was already done in 2010 when Charlie observes two high-school age girls leaving at 7 AM, obviously from Jake's room. When confronted, Jake blew it off as he allowing these young "surfer chicks" to crash in his bedroom before hitting the beach in the AM. Later on, when Jake is over at his mother's, Charlie observes the same two girls making their exit from there as well, only, the beach can't be the excuse, as it's twenty miles away. "Tater Head" must have subtly picked up a few things from his uncle Charlie.

Of course it did. His daughter (played by Amber Tamblyn of "Joan of Arcadia") deserved a spin-off after her time on the show. She was a chip off the old Charlie, and the show in general got alot more open to positive LGBTQ inclusion.

I'd rank it up there with the one where Carl Reiner's marrying Alan's mom and the bachelor party includes Steve Lawrence, Gary Marshall, and Tim Conway (who relate more to Charlie's daughter, and warmly accept Walden and Alan as the couple they're no longer trying to be).

I took a girl to her home from a club at 20 years old, knocked her off, and she flaked it being a bit drunk, I got up, cleaned up and watched some TV, and later knocked off her mum who came onto me, she was pretty hot. I left not long after, never saw them again, so no idea if it was an issue or not.
It was early 80s, stuff like that wasn't completely unusual back then.

Lots of people watched AM. And, the ratings for Two and Half dropped BIGLY after Charlie left. The thing is it was rated really high so even a huge drop still means it was still higher rated than most of its competition. AM wasn't on the 'big four' and not on the prime tv season- that always hurts rating potential. AM did well enough to make it to sindication - not bad since it relied totally 100% on its star that got harassed, attacked, bullied, and raped by the media.
@@volourn9764 yea I have no idea where the common misconception that the ratings nose dived when Charlie left came from but if you look them up the first 2 seasons with Ashton were actually higher than Charlie's last season, and after that they barely lost a million viewers (which is typical for a sitcom on for so long)
