You're a real piece of shit, harassing that woman because it kills you to see a black princess. Not one she's of proof, but you know better surely with all your years of personal knowledge. I saw one 2 months or so ago playing out on RUclips between a man and a woman. The woman obviously is a narc and she and the man have been going back and forth at each other in RUclips drama for years.
It goes the woman met a childhood friend again and he invited her back in town to hang out at his house, the enemy man of her found out because while at the other man's house she started videotaping the both of them to show off that she has a new man over the internet. Most of the videos the new man didn't know about or consent to, so the enemy man started making fun of her for it calling her thirsty for both a man and for attention, she then started acting extra, getting irate, and screaming, basically making a show for the drama of it all. Literally the next day she announced to her viewers that she's not with the new man anymore because things went south and that it was her haters faults.
What really happened was the new guy started getting annoyed with her yelling and acting crazy in his house obsessively having a shouting match with a man over the internet aka her enemy, he asked her to settle down, he also said he found out that she posted his place all over using him as her content and he brought it up saying she cant do that because he's a private person, he said she started yelling at him threatening to call the cops because he was "making her feel unsafe" and when the cops came she lied about how he was threatening her, the cops asked her if she wanted to leave although he wasn't kicking her out just yet and she said yes. After she was provided a hotel room she took to her channel blaming her "haters" for breaking them up, saying they trolled away a good thing she had o.0
She decided to put that man's place and face over the internet, she claimed they were a couple even though he only invited her to his place and seen her for the first time since childhood, he never said they were a couple, she decided to argue with people obnoxiously obviously getting excited and hyped over the attention from it, and she decided to walk around his house like a crazy woman yelling for hrs in the early morning about how other people are jealous of her and her new man, and she called the cops herself just because the guy who's house she's in criticized her for it all lol. This woman even lost her 7 kids because of the way she is but she loves calling other people narcs, she calls everybody else things that she happens to be.

He's very damaged, self obsessed, and has never been emotionally stable, probably with a trauma-based personality disorder. His relationship with his wife has absolutely brought out the worst in him, and triggered worsening mental health. I've seen the same in those with PTSD when they get into the wrong relationships. She knows what she's doing, and is definitely a narcissist - Harry is an enabler, as well as having all his trauma triggered. Kate is a healthy partner for William, Meghan is a destructive partner for Harry. The Palace covered up a lot of his behaviour growing up, but there's no one to advise him and cover up for him now.

Jealousy, I believe, plays a big part in Harry's behaviour. He is jealous of William, his grounded, centered FIRST IN LINE brother and he will continue to be jealous of him with a burning bitterness, egged on by Meghan, and ironically because of the contrast that he has created between them. Since the more Harry acts like a pretentious, self-important "fake it till you make it" wannabe leader, the more William's more refined, genuine manner will shine through. And the more Harry will have to overcompensate by inflating his fragile, monumental ego.

In simple words she poisoned his mind against his family and the institution example him saying he didn't realise he was trapped until Meghan told him so. Just good old poisoning and brainwashing to control the partner. Women have been doing this for ages. It's an ironclad manipulative trait alot of women have. Historically it stemmed from women in the past not having any power or control in relationships/marriage, family units, kingdoms etc. In some cultures women are not even allowed to speak in front of other family members or family meetings. So what they learned to do is to gain control or power by poisoning, brainwashing and manipulating their husbands mainly in the bedroom and being the "power behind the throne" or the puppet master. This is during the old times but happens today in certain communities and cultures like in rural India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Africa, middle east etc. But now with all the freedom women have, the poisoning one against their family/friends etc occurs anywhere not necessary only in the bedroom..lol

Great job on your summary of how a narcissist operates a relationship context. I went through it myself, and going into that relationship I had zero knowledge about personality disorders. I ended up spending nearly all my free time researching abnormal psychology in an effort to understand what was happening because it was clear to me after about 8 months that something was very wrong. Unfortunately, she had me fully hooked by then, so I fell right into the trap of believing I could help her and make it work.
She proceeded to use my determination against me by doing and saying things that ground away at my self esteem and confidence while dangling her fake caring persona in front of me whenever I was close to giving up. I was completely stressed out to the point of panic attacks (which I had never had before). Literally all I could think about was her and trying to figure out what she was going to do next.
She basically exploited my good traits in order to gain access to my most vulnerable self, and then used that knowledge to control and hurt me until I was completely crushed and useless. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but toward the end, I was so down and defeated that I would cry every single day when I was alone...sometimes for hours. Prior to that I had never cried during my adult life. She didn't know, but I'm sure she could see that I wasn't going to be useful to her for much longer, so she did something crueler then I ever thought was humanly possible.
I came home one day, and my code wouldn't open the door anymore. I could see her through the window right in front of me, but she acted like I didn't exist. It was like a Twilight Zone episode. Almost immediately, I was escorted by police off the property and informed that I wasn't allowed to even be in the small town where we lived at all. She had secretly gotten a restraining order based on a false accusation, and it turned out she had been setting up the whole thing for months by saying all sorts of awful things about me to anyone who would listen. She even developed a relationship with my mom and turned her against me, which resulted in her disowning me entirely.
It's been two and a half years now, and I know I'm much better than I was, but it's clear that I will never be the same. There's no way I could see the world with the kind of naive optimism and positivity like I did before because I've experienced a kind of evil that I had never even imagined.
I learned a lot about psychology, and now I can see the red flags and understand what they mean. It all stems from the lack of empathy and giant but fragile ego, but this can manifest is any number of ways. These people are aware of their dysfunction, and they have spent their entire lives learning how to hide it, so the red flags aren't always obvious.
Well, I didn't intend to write all this, but here we are. If anyone made it to the end, thanks for reading.

@@taniabluebell3099 Thanks, and you're totally right about the parent thing. Mine were not even together by the time I was born, and with my mom being an alcoholic throughout my childhood before abandoning her children when I was 11, I didn't really get to know her all that well. By the time she got things together, she lived on the other side of the country, so I only really talked to her on the phone. My dad, on the other hand, was my first encounter with a vulnerable narcissist, although I didn't know it then. I ended up with him when my mom disappeared, and although there were a few moments that were positive, they were overwhelmingly negated. I won't get into that, but I did learn during my research that if a person had a difficult relationship with a parent, then they will often subconsciously seek that same dynamic with a relationship partner, which would essentially represent a surrogate for the parent and provide another chance to make it work.
I believe that did play a part based on some strong similarities, but the weird thing is that I had been in several long term relationships that all had significantly different dynamics without any issues prior to the bad one. It's a bit of a mess...

I think Harry sometimes reveals her private campaigns to him of him great she is. For example, how did he get the idea that his family were jealous of Meghan and her performance in Australia. I'm sure that idea was fed to him by her. She exploits his grief and acts like his mother's proxy to fulfil his need to protect his mother.

Another reason H&MM "have" to say the family was jealous after MM's successful Australian tour is because it is exactly what Diana said.
It is weird how often they use Diana's experience/words/behaviour and pretend it's their own.

It may seem that all they can love and care about is themselves, but there's a huge difference here with narcissists.
The reality is that they wanted the good traits that you have - because they are fueled by self-hatred, not self-love. Loving people give love, they spread joy and contentment to you in a way that lasts and feel light hearted and carefree. Self hating individuals on the other hand, are insidious and usually very envious/jealous/toxic towards other people on the outside of the relationship, they are not out there spreading love and joy to people. So, in order to feel good about themselves or gain control, they seek out willing and forgiving people to help them cope with their dysfunction.

@@fanni24 Thank you Fanni, I'm glad you found the explanation plausible. I have spoken from experience.
Yes - it is exactly like you described, there's that aggressive expression fueling a lot of the inner self hatred - narcs usually have a punitive/belittling superego as a coping mechanism ("If I find my own flaws, I can't be hurt by other people finding them in me") and it does usually seep out to the people around them insidious ways, as is in the case you described with Meghan and Harry, so they end up taking the brunt of it.
The danger with Harry is that, even though he is walking on eggshells around her he is completely cut off from outside voices(friends, family) that would tell him that it's not normal and actually draining on him. More interaction with the outside world, away from the emotional regulation of the narc alone, can save him.

Yes but it was also for her dad to go public contradicting her accusations falsehoods aka LIES speak with the media since she refused to take his calls or texts. Then when the media erroneously reported more lines, characters than permitted BUT they wrote the truth. She did NOT win on the media printing the letter as was her original intent to sue the paper. It was that very fine thin line, literally, printing too much.
The Judge in his Legal word findings said so. Regardless she admitted to MANIPULATED that letter that normally would be a very personal one but clearly it was not. You can't cure a mid-range narcissist like Meghan. She will never change because she genuinely believes nothing is ever her fault and she takes no responsibility for the harm she has done. Her narcissistic mind really believes that she is the real victim, and everyone is her persecutor if you are against her.

Interesting question. Whether narcissism is due to "nature" or "nurture" has been explored by many experts, such as Dr Ramani on YT (MedCircle, "Understanding the Narc, Why do they treat you this way?"), and the answer seems to be, sometimes nature, sometimes nurture, and sometime a little of both. For example, the amygdala is the part of the brain which deals with fight / flight / empathy / emotion (anger, fear, anxiety, excitement) etc. Amygdala hijack is when the brain reacts to psychological stress as if it is a physical threat, resulting in an inability to respond rationally to a perceived threat. (H?)
Then again, if the amygdala is not functioning correctly, there may be a complete lack of empathy (psychopathy), even though the person is otherwise very intelligent. Or there may be an inability to communicate appropriately ... for example, some children on the ADHD or autistic spectrum cannot "read emotions in other people's faces" or pick up subtle signs very well, so someone who has mild autistic tendencies might be viewed as narcissistic, even though their "self-absorbed" behavior arises from a different condition.
It is also thought that an over-indulgent upbringing, with lack of proper boundaries, and poor parental guidance at an early age on how one should treat other people, (the "golden child" syndrome) can all contribute to this narc behavior, because there have never been any "adverse consequences" to their "spoilt brat" conduct during their formative years. It is a fascinating subject.

To be fair, burnout can happen at any social class, and I do believe that being a British royal can be very demanding at times. Wealth does not equal no problems in life. However, I think it is her influence on him that is causing his change in behaviour.
She went for the typical 'victim' that a narcissist goes for: someone in a vulnerable position mentally. He was experiencing some burnout. Then you shower them with love, to appear like the one ray of sunshine, while secretly isolating him from friends and family, creating drama to 'defend' him from, and making it seem like everyone is out to get him, only she is on his side. She gets him to a low enough point mentally, and then build him up the way she wants him. At this point, he is so brainwashed, he is following her every que. Once they are done using you, they usually discard you. Sometimes, they will pull you back in, and then discard you again. I am truly sorry if she actually is innocent in all of this. But I have dealt with people like that before, and she behaves exactly the same way.

I was beimg hated for coming off as selfish and rude. But by that time i realized that it is better i repulse my family and friends than ask for direct hostility between them and the narcissist and later demand my family to apologise to him and his family again and again.
My family, extended members even- realized this is not the real me. I have always been chummy, nice, naive, funny too at times. But ever since i married him ie the relationship had a socially acknowledged label on it- things juat fell apart.
One of my aunts on the other hand who has been a severe victim and is now nearly 60, is being berated because of how she acts according to the narcissistic husband’s desires, always causing family feuds and isolating her. All of our family and extended family members blane her for letting him act this way and not being able to hold ground. A lot like the people in this comment section actually. But i feel her to the bones. It’s not like she is 0% complicit, bit she definitely isn’t coming up with the ideas all by herself. She is one of those people who just dont have the capacity to hurt anyone.
I keep explaining my family. But their indifference makes me wonder why exactly they separated me from my NPD husband and not my aunt as well? She had 3 kids with him then, and now she is old and needs lots of maintenance. Her children aren’t exactly narcissists but to then this is the only way to be. This is how people sray happy- by bullying others, hurting others, bulldozing other people's dreams and hopes and crushing them with their expectations.

No more listening to lies of the woman who made me the insignificant other. Divorced quickly afterwards and was able to repair relationships.

Not everyone who is born a royal is equipped to do this.

It reinforced so much of what you said - although your presentation is a little more interesting, since it has a more real-world application. One quote from the article struck me the most. Narcissists "are good at being popular, making new friends, and acquiring social status, but are really quite terrible at sustaining anything meaningful and intimate." This is Meghan Markle in a nutshell. I was intrigued by her effervescent smile and apparent spunkiness - but now I just can't stand her arrogance and overbearing self-confidence.

06:35 - I think you nailed it on the question of whether Harry's a narcissist. He's not a narcissist, he's just in love with one. Princess Diana did NOT raise a narcissist, in fact, she went out of her way to make sure her boys were raised as well-rounded individuals, who were exposed to the every-day struggles normal people had to go through. She even had them scrubbing toilets in South America, something no royal has ever done in the history of the monarchy. Everything his mother tried to instill in him went out the window the day he met his wife.

Wow, BaggageClaim, I am SO glad I watched this. I was in an abusive marriage for 6 years and I'm unsure if he was a narcissist, but he used similar tactics like the "you start to love yourself" thing. (He even admitted that when he met me, he thought I was so full of self-hate he wanted me to know how I truly deserved to be treated). And I changed during that relationship for better and worse. Towards the end, he would scream and gaslight about how *I* had become a narcissist and was now a bad person when I fought back to take control of my life. He even began siding with the people he once convinced me were awful, saying that "now he knew the truth about me and felt bad or sympathy for them because they must have had to deal with me my whole life liie this."
I took all this as gaslighting for a long time, but I do notice I am not the same person I was before being involved with him. I keep pondering what happened to me and feeling like, "Can you TURN into a narcissist as an adult from abuse if you weren't? Did he turn me into one? Was I one just waiting to be unlocked?"
I've never seen or heard such an explanation of how you can morph in a relationship like that. I am going to take this to heart and explore it further, bc I feel I no longer can love people. Thank you for sharing this and potentially helping me as I try to find some answers.

Excellent video! I really like they way you show the contrast between the two brothers in how they handle situations/discussions, especially around their mother. The change in Harry is really sad, from fun loving man to the constant everyone is out to get us. It's fascinating that the family that loved him all his life and welcomed Megan so warmly, that I think at one point he said they were the family she never had, went from that to racist, mental health destroying, jealous monsters that didn't give a damn about the two of them in such a short time. I'm also seeing a change in the number of people that feel sorry for him over the loss of Diana. I mean I don't see as many people saying he lost his mom when he was young so back off, instead it's more like I lost a parent too when I was young, I miss them every day but I had to move in with life and you need to as well Harry. Maybe that is just me.

The problem started way before Diana's death. The boys knew from childhood that William was heir and Harry was spare. While sibling rivalry is normal, rank is a permanent imbalance to Harry's disadvantage. Young William walked the straight and narrow so Harry played the brat. The family overindulged Harry's misbehavior to compensate for William's rank. The indulgence grew even worse at Diana's passing. Who could scold a grieving child? Also, Diana's death occurred at a crucial age in Harry's relationship to his mother, the demands for her complete attention. William was a little older and had made some progress through that stage. For Harry it was arrested development that could never be resolved. Enter Meghan, the mommy surrogate with benefits, deliberately channeling Diana. Meghan was ready, willing, and able to prey on every weakness in Harry's character. She told him what he most wanted to hear, what no decent soul would feed him. Remember how she used to gaze at him in rapt adoration. Now she shoves him out of her way.

Except Harry was a stable and decent working royal that accomplished his work accordingly till Meghan. He was still a decent functioning person at least in public. He could've easily matured and outgrown being affected by being the spare. While the death of Diana definitely fucked him up differently than William, I dont think his behaviour now is that deeply rooted in his childhood. Then again, what do we outsiders know...
