You are just wrong here. It needs to be very tight so you have the feeling to take it off after every set and you need it higher up on wrist and sort of on the bottom of your palm.

Typically these are for bench press, overhead pressing or any type of exercise thats putting extra weight on the wrist where You need support. I have seen people use them for bicep curls if they're lifting a lot of weight or if they naturally have weaker wrists.

Well he's going to get someone hurt because he's not giving proper instruction, I'm a HEAVY lifter, meaning i'm benching 335+ for sets or squating 400+ or deadlifting 400-500+ and if I took his advice and did it like he suggests I'd break my wrists (if I actually needed wraps). I actually just bought some 1 striple Contraband Black Label 1001 wraps for me and a friend to start using. Difference is, we've been weight lifting for going on 6 or 7 years.

Not sure, if I need to get longer ones for more support and how far you suppose to move be able to bend your wrist back? I am confused. karen glinsky you don't really want that much range of motion on your wrist. The whole point of them is to prevent wrists from snapping back. Put them a little higher up on the back on your hand and try it out
I don't find the thumb loop uncomfortable, but if You do then you can just tuck it into the wrap and not use it. Gloves and this wrap do two different things. Gloves would help protect Your hands from getting calluses and cut up, and the wrist wrap is used to give your wrist added support.
