    You are just wrong here. It needs to be very tight so you have the feeling to take it off after every set and you need it higher up on wrist and sort of on the bottom of your palm.

      Thanks for this. I get confused because it seems like it would make more sense for them to be tight but it starts to get uncomfortable really quickly so I thought that must be wrong. But having them tight and taking them off after every set makes a lot of sense.

      And he's also wrong about the thumb loop. The main purpose of the thumb loop is to be used as a Anchor point when tightening the wrist wrap. And should be removed from thumb once wrist wrap is tightened

    Not tight enough. Will not have any effect while under tension. If you do a heavy bench press, your wrist bent backwards. If they are not tight enough, they will have no effect.

    It also helps with heavy barbell curls which is where i get the most pain and discomfort in personally.

    The main purpose of the thumb loop is to be used as a Anchor point when tightening the wrist wrap. And is best removed from thumb once wrist wrap is tightened

    Shouldnt you have limited wrists movement with them on. Would it make more sense to wrap it closier to your palm so your wrist cant move side to side and back and forth?

      No brother....in bodybuilding we oftenly keep opening and wrapping it again because it resists the blood circulation.....so I won't advise anyone to use it for longer periods of time

    Iam getting forearm bone pain while doing biceps workout....till now i consulted sevaral trainers...but still now i didn't get any change in pain....so many people saying that its an elbow pain...no one is not listening my problem....so please give me some suggestions to decrease pain...

    The wrap is better if it goes up more towards the hands - covering part of the palm. It offers more support.

    I have a different problem my wrist wraps rub against my like when I put it on it scratches my skin and when I take it off it leaves a rash on my skin I don’t know how to fix this

      Rahman Yusuf To protect your wrists from possible injury by keeping them straight. They can also help you lift more as a direct affect of the more supported wrists.

    Hey, great video, i just bought one, but i feel pain in my wrists when i am doing bicep curls or tricep extensions.
    Is it not meant to do these exercises ?

      Typically these are for bench press, overhead pressing or any type of exercise thats putting extra weight on the wrist where You need support. I have seen people use them for bicep curls if they're lifting a lot of weight or if they naturally have weaker wrists.

      I would use them in any exercise where You feel that You need a bit more support and then see how You feel with them :)

    Glorified sweat bands you need to wrap them higher up on your palm and then come down your wrist or else it doesn’t offer any support.

      I think if You wrapped them crazy tight it wouldnt be to Your benefit, but more if theyre nice and snug. And yes You can use them for bench press :)

      okay wtf i dont know what happaned to my comment but half the stuff i wrote is missing, but what i was saying is that my wrists hurt really bad the day after i used them and i was just asking if it has something to do with me having them to tight.
      but ill try not to have them as tight the next time like you said and see how it goes. (sorry for my bad english)

      Well he's going to get someone hurt because he's not giving proper instruction, I'm a HEAVY lifter, meaning i'm benching 335+ for sets or squating 400+ or deadlifting 400-500+ and if I took his advice and did it like he suggests I'd break my wrists (if I actually needed wraps). I actually just bought some 1 striple Contraband Black Label 1001 wraps for me and a friend to start using. Difference is, we've been weight lifting for going on 6 or 7 years.

    I just purchased wraps and love the video thank you. I just don't know if I got one with enough support. I have weak wrists. Not sure, if I need to get longer ones for more support and how far you suppose to move be able to bend your wrist back? I am confused. Would be easier is showed the range of motion with wraps on for those of us who are completely new to it. Thank you.

      karen glinsky you don't really want that much range of motion on your wrist. The whole point of them is to prevent wrists from snapping back. Put them a little higher up on the back on your hand and try it out

      I made a nice dip with french cream, black pepper, smoked paprika powder and some wrist wraps and it was delicious, I'd say definetely go for it !

      I don't find the thumb loop uncomfortable, but if You do then you can just tuck it into the wrap and not use it. Gloves and this wrap do two different things. Gloves would help protect Your hands from getting calluses and cut up, and the wrist wrap is used to give your wrist added support.

      +Danny Doan I like to keep mine on the wrist, or even creep up a little bit on the base of the palm for extra support is Im lifting heavier. Hope that helps!

    This is the completely wrong way 😂 that offers no support what do ever! You’re suppose to start wrapping just under the thumb and then work it around the hand and up the wrist.
