thank you very much for sharing real yoga, and spreading the knowledge to the world, which chases modern "yoga". though I found it difficult to practice with you, since there are no commands at all - I was not able to stay in asana, because I wanted to know when the transition is happening..
Shiva Das Ji, Apko sat sat Naman ! I never seen any yoga video with such a perfection. I liked it too much, so many things to learn. Please keep educating us with your knowledge in future as well.
prabhat roy Hari Om! Thank you for your nice words. I only try to share the knowledge of Prabhuji, my beloved spiritual master, who is worthy of all the glory and respect.
Nameste I just found this video & I am amazed by your perfection & at the same time I learn how far our body can be flexible like a new born baby wonderful, since I want to practice hatha yoga what I like to know how you timing yourself for each asanas ? Your answer will be very appreciated. Thank you & Many blessing

+ZAIRA FATIMA Dear, Pakistan is out of my reach. I strongly recommend you to visit my Guruji's website prabhuji.net and read his books on this website. Also I am more than sure in your ancient country there are many good yoga masters. I am sure that if you have strong thirst, and detachment, you will find a suitable guru for you. All the best!
Namaste Siva Dasji.. its so wonderful.. such grace and ease.. truly the best yoga demo i ve seen in you tube.. i would like to know if my practicing with out a guru will do any harm? currently i do yoga ( very irregularly) as i read from books( one from bihar school of yoga) .. but the grace and ease that i see in your demo, i think iam not doing it right. will it be better to quit till i attain a good guru , and till iam a better more worthy student? :)
Hello Shiva Das! Thank you for the wonderful video! I have never seen any hatha yoga video here with such prefect performance! I have a question though: You start the session with headstand. Many yoga practitioners advice to do it in the end of asana sessions. Do you think the recommended surya namaskar is totally enough as a warm-up to do the headstand? If so, then, how many times should it be performed? And what about breathing exercises which many practitioners start their sessions with? Please, pour light on these issues... Thanks in advance for your reply!
Margali Colkhi The Hatha Yoga session should begin with proper warm up, then Surya Namaskar or other Vinyasa, and only then the asanas. Many different schools teach different orders of the asanas. I am only sharing what I received from my beloved Spiritual Master, Prabhuji. To know more about our lineage and teachings, visit www.prabhuji.com I recommend you to go through this routine: ruclips.net/p/PLuZc5HNwt4oHkOMlh86j_jxgddGxPmQnj
i have a serious question, what if i cannot do the first pose because my doctor said not to stand on my head, reason being is im on peritoneal dialysis and i cannot be inverted due to the tube flipping inside, can i avoid this particular posture and still benefit from the rest ??
+ZAIRA FATIMA I live in the Dominican Republic. My master Prabhuji lives in upstate, NY, USA. You may visit my spiritual master's website, prabhuji.net
Prabhuji has always emphasized quality over quantity. Therefore he has never been a master of massive numbers of disciples and followers. Most of his few disciples, and the best among them, prefer to live with Him in the Ashram in Upstate New York, USA. The few who live outside are not enough to cover the entire world.
My Guru, H.H. Avadhuta Sri Ramakrishnananda Babaji Maharaja (Prabhuji), was educated in Hatha Yoga by Swami Vishnu Devananda, who was a disciple of H.H. Swami Sivananda Saraswati from Rishikesh. He was also trained by Swami Jyotirmayananda and Swami Satchidananda, both disciples of the same Swami Sivananda. Therefore his style of Hatha Yoga which I am trying to demonstrate and share is deeply influenced by Sivananda.

Namaste! I am very new to yoga and have researched the different types. I decided to start with Hatha Yoga as it seems to be the best fit for me. A few questions I would greatly appreciate if you answered! - Could you provide me with some tips or information in order to properly get started? Do you recommend I attend a nearby Hatha Yoga studio first before doing it on my own? Do you do the same routine everyday? or for lets say a week and then switch. Any tips are very much appreciated. Thank you :) Shiva Das
Matthew Acevedo Hari Om! Thank you for your comments. First of all, it is important to know that the styles of yoga practices that are presented nowadays in the west such as Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Bikram Yoga, etc etc etc are all variations of the classical Hatha Yoga, modified and branded for the western market. So if you are interested in the traditional and classical Hatha Yoga, it is better that you find a center that is connected to a respected Sampradaya (lineage), and a bonafide Guru, spiritual Master. The best is to start learning with an authorized and certified instructor, and practice for at least twice a week and for at least 6 months, until the routine and the principles are well established. Then you can continue practicing by yourself also. In general, according to traditional Hatha Yoga and as my Guru Prabhuji has taught, it is important to stick to one routine for your entire life, and deepen in its practice. The routine we recommend and practice is given in this channel: ruclips.net/p/PLuZc5HNwt4oHkOMlh86j_jxgddGxPmQnj
Hari Om! Dear Arjun, in all the aspects of yoga, one should always seek to learn directly from an authorized and bonafide Guru, witin a known disciplic succession (Sampradaya). This video is good as a reference, just are as books, manuals, photos etc., but it can never replace the direct guidance of a live Guru.
Disclaimer: This video is only for the purpose of demonstration and reference. If you want to learn hatha yoga or any kind of yoga, you should refer to an expert teacher who is connected to a bonafide lineage of masters, and learn directly from him/her.
Sri Shiv Das ji.. I am 26 year old man and suffering from severe anxiety and OCD -compulsive angry thoughts..so much that it has affected normal functioning of my brain..memory and comprehension ability has been severely affected leading to depression ...please suggest how can I cure it.
Dear RAHIL SINGH, my advise to you is to seek professional help from a psychologist or psychiatrist. I am not an expert in dealing with acute mental dysfunctions nor do I have the knowledge and training required for this kind of work.
+megha gupta Dear, it is not recommended to learn Hatha yoga without the guidance and supervision of a capable teacher. Do not attempt this on your own, unless learned the techniques correctly and directly from a teacher who can correct you immediately. These videos are only for demonstration and reference.

Shiva Das I'm really impressed by your performance, honestly! This is the best yoga video on the entire RUclips.
Shiva Das What kind of warm-up should be preceding Surya Namaskar so as to move straight to the Headstand?
Shiva Das And, one more question, pls: Is there any other yoga video of you available here apart from Surya Namaskar, which I have already seen?

Nice presentation....
thank you. very inspiring... so i learned these as the basic 12 of Sivananda yoga. Was your master Prabhuji his pupil?
Prabhuji learned Hatha Yoga with Swami Vishnu Devananda, the founder of Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers and Ashrams.
perfect I love it
great but it would be better if there was an explanation as if it were a lesson
any alternative to sirsasan and kakasana.?please.
Very good BGsound
why does prabuhji have no headquarters at Puerto Rico?
