It’s amazing to have vids like this available for free. I’ve been snowboarding for over 10 years, but my riding has improved exponentially since finding channels like Tommie’s. Glad to see Giri being featured on your channel too. He’s gotta be one of the most knowledgeable snowboard instructors around
I purchased these for my twin 6 year old boys this season, and they have had a great time on the sledding hill. Their buddy ended up getting one as well since they had so much fun. A great introduction!
My kids, nephews, nieces are all slope addicted now. Been watching some of your videos to help keep/improve my skills for some more fun out there. Great content, professional delivery, understandable and very detailed. Also very well produced vids. Keep it go going so this 40 year old man can stay ahead of these kids on the hill.
Inspiring, thanks for helping me get my confidence back. I blew out my shoulders an broke my tailbone 10yrs ago. Didn't think I would enjoy snowboarding again. Now it going to a whole new level
Gotta say man, I'm a safety patroller (and a boarder) and I know that (most) RUclipsrs are not big Yellowjacket fans, but I DIG these vids. Keep it up.
Would love to see you describe some of technical movements of your different turns as they’re happening. Toe flick, heal lift is hard to visualize the when and where. A little post ride breakdown edit please.
Brill video, I struggle with heel lie downs this cud help. The 360 carve to carve jumps I managed to do, by doing nose roll versions, and then adding in the jump when the spin felt natural. 🎿🎿🎿 Quapla
Hey Tommy, I hope you get better and recover fast get to the mountain. Quick question I’m currently looking at Donek Snowboards what’s Giri riding on this video ? Awesome vids !!! See you on the mountain!
Amazing video! But I do have one question. In the video it looks like when changing your edge it’s going across the fall line, but why does it not catch the edge?
Yo Tommie!!! Great video again, legit question for ya. Do you do any " progression session's " in person? Is there a price or any time of year you would take a group of 2-4 dudes ( mid 40's plus) and spend a 5-6 hour day working in person?
Is a wide board better for carving and powder? I’m looking at a new all mountain board and can’t decide between regular and wide. (156 size)( boot=10”)
When do you use most flexed edge turn/retracted turns vs not? I am going to try to practice some of these concepts you guys demonstrated since I want to learn how to euro carve. Any advice would help!
@@tommiebennett wow man thanks for taking the time to answer my silly comment. You are really going hard to make your dreams come true and it shows!! don't stop and keep 'em videos comin!!!!!!
Where were these videos 32 years ago when I was learning? Oh yeah, no internet, no cell phones and floppy disk back then! You kids have it good nowadays, believe that. I learned by hucking and sending it until I got it right. All while being tormented by the skiers since I was an oddity on my single ski, knuckle dragger OG.
I can get as low enough to do a superman on toe side edge but it's so hard to go that low on my heels. It's also fucking hard to do on a full rocker board.
Great content, was just a bit to hyped up and you were speaking way to quickly for me. Was stressing me out to be honest. Speak a bit slower and your message will have more impact. Just some feedback for you to consider but I do like how you break things down. All the best!

That recently happened to my friend about a week ago hopefully he has a fast recovery
This happened to me too where I broke my tailbone ten years ago and I am back to it and feeling way better on a board! Best of luck to you
Hey bro. Saw you at copper on Tuesday and wanted to say hi but you were filming.
@@tommiebennett I saw you on top of the chairlift, then again in the park. I'll definitely say hi!

Great video! 👌Thanks for sharing!
Great vid! do you mind sharing the side cut radius of the board you used on the vid? And also the length + your weight? Keep it up man!
Noice information man, as always. I was trying some trench work today. A long ways to go but you videos help a lot. 🤙🏼
Love this guy
Beautiful
Great video!
Nice to know I haven't been doing it wrong! Or at least not VERY wrong

Awesome vids !!! See you on the mountain!
Amazing video! But I do have one question. In the video it looks like when changing your edge it’s going across the fall line, but why does it not catch the edge?
Great observation! In that situation, I’m managing my edge more based on the direction of momentum vs fall line.
Excellent video!!!!!
what is the angle for bindings in this carving guide
I wanna pull that insulation sticking out from your jacket lol
Helped Thank you!
Txs guys! What.s your board ? I.m 6.1 and ride a 162. Fun but not so quick. Keep up the great vids !!!
Just curious of specific leg workouts to help get into those hard carving positions? Sick video!
Wall sits
what angle of the bindings do you recommend for the best carving? Love the vids btw
Your my hero
Sweet vid!
What do you think about rocker boards Tommie ?,,, do you recommend people snowboarding only for fun?
hi tommie. what is the # of your bindings highback?

Nevermind, Gary answered the question - so it sets up for the euro carve. Will def get low before my edge transition and see. Thanks so much!
I too love cheesecake, will you ever vacation in canada banff?
I believe the position shown at 5:59 is wrong . I think you got them mixed up there :)

so how do you grip the ice patch?
Opinion on flow bindings ?
Why do you sound like
Tom Haverford from Parks and Rec?
Hey, what's your stand for curving? 🦆 or something else?
Are you sure Giri isn't Ryan Knapton ? ;) ,, great vid, thanks
@@tommiebennett Oh yeah !!! :)
Thanks for the video. What’s a good binding stance for carving? What angles should my bindings be?
What s your weight.? What board you ride...lenght? Etc?
Ryan Reynolds is that you
Giri toes are inside the edge of the board by alot. I wanna try that.
How does a most flexed at edge change turn differ from a regular down unweighted turn?.
What angle would you tune a carving snowboard
where is the link you were talking about when you ride with Ryan?

Where are you boarding?
It looks like my toes may be hanging over the edge too much, and is making me lose contact on my toe edge.
Ripping it in the beginning

Where do you snowboard?

cross under turn my bro
u need to mention that duning the edge change you are carving but...very light on your feet while finishing the carve
its a pow technique

I have never seen anyone carve the way you showed the first time 😂 that's super awkward
Steez level 5000
I found the toe edge tougher than the heel side. Also I felt stopping on toe side was tougher because I'm not facing downhill
Yea it’s hard to keep your head facing forward and trusting it at first. Feels like a leap of faith 😂
Utilize the skeleton in conjunction with the muscles.....o....k

What’s up with the goggles? Are they 🧲
