- We're back playing some more of the King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match rollback beta! This online is really amazing, I have had so many matches that are completely lag-free! Today I tried to learn Clark, and it went pretty well. But honestly Athena aka The Brick Wall really held it down for me in all these matches. If you want Code Mystics to add lobbies/spectator, crossplay, online training, console ports, instant rematching, etc., ask SNK themselves and let ‘em hear what you want!
That'd be nice for 2002 UM, but I'd rather see them implement all that good stuff for KoF 15.
@@rayminishi689 Whatever you ask of Code Mystics to add into this game, there’s a likely chance that it’ll be added over to ‘98 UM next, _if_ they decide to add it from the start. And who knows, it could get added to Garou and Last Blade 2 if it works. It’s about adding to the Online experience for two top KOF games of all time. Yes, XV is another priority, but it’s about showing SNK that these features _work,_ and yes, they’re _that_ important.
Last Blade 2 community wants lobbies so bad. Using the steam version of LB2 would be so much better than Fightcade.

i play mostly the vanilla version (the original 2002 on arcades) but this version its fun i been having fun with this version ,Jhun is a killer machine in this version ,many of the carachters are over power still its fun !! i play with,Ryo,Ralf and Benimaru,sometimes shingo and heidern ! GGS

i saw some weird stuff here and there but my biggest question is, why no one tech roll? also, your Athena is decent but you need to reflect projectiles, you can also reflect projectile supers

Where can I play this version of KoF 2002 is only on steam? or can I play the roll back version on console. I have KoF 13 but with Roll back I'd be down to give this game a shot online. It may not have Elisabeth from 13 but I got other characters in mind for a team.
There's only one 2002 on steam but to play this version you have to put in the beta code in the properties menu.

This is "The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match", I guess it got a rollback net code update.

It's the Steam rollback beta, you can get in, if you have the game, by selecting beta branch from the launcher. As of the time I'm writing this the beta is about to end, but I suppose it won't take long for them to update on the release version.

Years ago I used to play kof 97 in arcades...and actually it wasn't regular version it was a hack version where u have unlimited meter so we didn't even use any regular/normal moves we only used supers 😂...it wasn't a battle of who's the better player but the better of who can successfully do supers 😂
Yeah obviously i was the best 😁😆...but really I didn't know to play the game coz to me that was the game that u have to be best at supers...but there's more to this game and u really have to learn this to be good

This one is on Steam but if you want to play the online beta, you need to set up the properties of the game in your library. I think the description of the game explains how to do it.

Yo you need to better optimize your combos. Especially your use of super meter, why aren't you or your opponents doing combos into super? You don't need the fully optimized HD cancel combos, just use supers in combos.
I almost unsubbed after i read the title
I want a new modern 2D fighter without projectiles. I want to see how creative the developers can make the game mechanics without projectiles.
If there's no projectiles you just have to make the stages smaller to compensate for the lack of ranged attacks, or give everyone really powerful gap closers like dragon rush.

That's interesting, because projectiles were a game changer in themselves. Pre-Streetfighter, projectiles weren't a thing in those fighting games that existed.
While neither modern, nor fully without projectiles (only 3 characters get them, and one of those is a boss), Daraku Tenshi or The Fallen angels kinda fits that description. Its also has a visually distinct art style, and its plays pretty well too
