The Most Advanced Civilization That Scares Scientists

- The interplay between energy and technology is a fundamental principle that underlies the progress of civilizations. As society gains access to more energy sources, it can develop new technologies that enable it to harness even more energy, leading to a self-reinforcing cycle of advancement.

There will never be a point where humans do not have to work to survive.
I wish humans were intelligent enough to set aside their petty differences and work toward a "Star Trek future". An age where money doesn't exist and everyone is utilized for their true talents. The only way we don't become extinct, just like the dinosaurs, is if we populate the stars. We must get off of this rock and populate other worlds.
If we work together instead of killing each other, anything is possible. There literally is no limit to how far we could evolve.
We can do that by being a citizen of the internet and become a member of that Country,.... The internet.

These could be runaway effects due to scaling. If you develop a significant enough technology, like self replicating nano machines, you could easily blow past type 2. The EPA approved it along with the production/refinement due to the "statistics, estimates and other biohazard/toxic studies being too conservative". @@brandonmaynard5654😊😊😊😊
@@brandonmaynard5654We don't know that for sure either, we've never had a chance to measure a star inside another structure before. Maybe that energy needs to bleed away in the vacuum of space at longer distances than we think, this could effect stars in unpredictable ways for all we know.
Then we just have to hope that as alien species evolve, they do so morally as well as technologically (to survive the level of civilisation we have now, you'd have to - or be destroyed by climate change, over-consumption of natural resources or nuclear war).
I imagine that an alien species with the power to build Dyson Spheres would not choose our star but would go somewhere else more peaceful. Plenty of stars still out there in the galaxy, still shining brightly - so it's evident no one is building such structures around stars at a pace to concern us.

This video about the most advanced civilization is both thrilling and a bit spine-chilling. Scientists being scared? Count me intrigued! The mysteries of advanced societies always leave me in awe 😱 Can't wait to dive deeper into this cosmic enigma! 🚀👽
My comment too..intriguing!
The Dyson shpere isn't a complete enclosed sphere, it's a gyro type structure that spins around the sun, allowing heat and light to escape as normal. We would only need to cover around 15% of the total surface to harness enough energy to power multiple planets.
The Dyson Spheres dont exist. I believe that a civilization that is capable of building a Dyson Sphere would already have a better/more effective way to harness the energy "out of thin air". And again I cant imagine how Type 3 civilization that is capable of building billions Dyson Spheres isnt capable of harnessing the energy in a more effective way?
How will that energy be transported to the multiple planets?
How did you formulate this theory
Nowadays, we call Dyson's original proposal/idea a "Dyson Swarm" ... it was actually lots and lots of big stellar power collection nodes (essentially advanced mega-solar panels) configured as an orbiting "swarm" of nodes. It didn't fully enclose the star, and still allowed the star to provide natural lighting and warmth to the planets and other celestial bodies in the system. Sci-fi elaborated on this further and came up with fully enclosed sphere idea ... but I think this is only necessary if you are _hiding_ from someone or going down the "stealthy civilization" route to avoid contact or being found by others ... if you capture all the star's light, heat, IR, etc and convert it to energy it'd be quite hard or perhaps impossible to detect such a civilization from interstellar distances with some additional stealth and "camouflage" tech ... which a civilization trying to hide itself would undoubtedly invest a lot of effort into.
@uwemattiss880 This is my question, too.
My assumption is by power beam but none of the kardashev scale videos I have watched have really elaborated on this.
Pretty sure an advanced civilization wouldn't be pushing massive stones around.
Actually, the most outrageous part of this was the opening suggesting people in the distant future still had jobs.

Whatever the hell they want, I assume.
I'm sure we would still have dogs with us.
Increasing our power consumption MUST NOT be the goal of development. It is more important what we do with the power we use.
Alot of our problems can be solved with more power (brute force). Being energy efficient takes a lot more knowledge.
@@nickl5658 And I am advocating for acquiring and using that knowledge.
@@donaldduck830 and to acquire that knowledge you need to first find out the brute force version... cant make nothing more efficient.
Increasing our power consumption is inevitable till we make actual clean, renewable sources. The more advanced we get or our tech gets, more power is always needed.
@@jdhi5279 power consumption does not care about the source. That is the beauty of electricity: Transportable power where you don't see where it comes from.
China increases its production via more coal-fired power plants. Germany decreased its production via shutting down relatively modern and safe NPPs while buying from less safe alternatives from their neigboring states.
None of the sources we have available today are clean or renewable (solar panels degrade quickly, wind power destroys birds & influences the weather,...). Neither are oil & coal not renewable (fossilized biomass. Takes a long time, but comes from plants).
Technological advancement means more efficiency. If we used vacuum tubes for our mobile phones, they would need to be the size of Manhattan each and every single one would consume more power than the entire US produces. But with integrated circuits, they are possible, portable and energy efficient.
Think about it.
Our ancestors were far more advanced then we give them credit for.
To avoid disaster we must develop intergalactic travel. Okay. We're on it.
9:32 the reason we're not detecting the other civilizations elsewhere in the universe is because we're looking for civilizations that behave and consume energy like we do and the simple fact is that species that behave and use energy like us don't make it to the point where they can be detected from light years away. And we're not going to be around much longer either if we don't start figuring out how to live in harmony with our environment instead of consuming and exploiting it.
And exploiting ourselfs too.

In my opinion, if all the peoples on earth came together and put our collective minds to it, we could be a Type 2 in less than 100 years. A Dyson Sphere would be easily doable if we all shared resources and assisted each other with going out and mining the asteroids near us for the stuff we need. Our potential is limitless; it is our inability to recognize that our differences are what makes us strong that is holding us back. It's a shame.
I agree with you about our Petty differences but the other things I don't agree with no matter how hard we try. It would be better to fix things on this planet that way when we become extinct the other animals on this planet won't have to live in the crap we have created.🤔
Please. We haven't even gotten a human to the closest planet and you're talking about building Dyson spheres? Not even in a 1000 years lol! Plus we are 1000X more likely to destroy ourselves with that tech (if we even get close to there), than work together to build a Type 2 civ. No, seriously.

If you look at the old photographic plates of Mariner & Cassini & those, it looks to me like there's already some kind of messily-organized things. I looked particularly at Mercury, looking for mines or power systems, then at Mars, Iapetus and small bodies, looking for houses & infrastructure. I quit after some years, convinced that either life is scary & endemic or else they are trying supernaturally-well to fake a system-wide cataclysmed civilization. Some craters or landforms are clearly artificial but hard to discern. The record keeps getting edited with.
The first thing a Civilisation (most humans) need to do is overcome enemosity. Caring for another, needs to be the driving force and not making money. Through this beautiful things can be made
Reparations. The rest is just bullshit talk and babbling.
Assuming it’s a canonical limit, a Type II civilization could hit the same 2-week communication transit time limit the Roman Empire hit up against. In their case, it was how far a series of postal system horses could run in 2 weeks; in the case of a Type II civilization aspiring to Type III, it might end up being 2 light weeks or 2,424 AU, which is 0.877% of the distance to Alpha Centauri. Based on the experience of Rome, that could end up being the limit of effective governance. If so, then every alien spacecraft we’ve ever found could be hopelessly cut off from its parent civilization. In that case, it would be much more of a scientific benefit than an existential threat.
This assumes function in a human time-scale. Augmented intelligence could operate thousands of times faster than human timescales and reduce the time between critical response to seconds of minutes, effectively stranding a Type II civilization at the limits of it's own Dyson Sphere.
This would make the relatively tiny Fiefdoms living off of Fusion on the icy moons of gas giants, the colloquial boondocks of a civilization, and almost infinitely out of touch with the lightning fast evolving inner solar system.
It would also make traveling to other stars very unappealing. The desire to move would only begin to rise as the imminent death of the central star became inevitable.
The universal barrier of the speed of light is absolutely fascinating. The scope of the universe is really beyond human reason, and the barrier to speed is blindingly slow compared to the distances that need to be traveled...and that's assuming an object with zero mass, since any mass at all will reach infinity at the speed of light.
We're limited by a barrier we can't even reach, in an area where that barrier is a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a millimeter in relation to the distances it must travel. We can't even reach a SINGLE STAR that isn't the sun in 50 LIFETIMES! And the universe is billions of times bigger than the distance from here to Proxima Centauri.
Type 9. Q continuum that loves to troll a dedicated bald starship captain.
I would live in a Victorian home with all the technical wonders hidden out of sight.
I would like to think that the final civilization would have the power over the void itself. The very thing that would encompass the dimensions within it. The danger that type of civilization would face would be being consumed by it. To never have existed in the first place for all of existence. I believe that this level of existence would also be full of paradoxes as the natural way of things. So much so it can infest some universes from the outside, changing them forever. So in essence a paradox is but a piece of the abyss consuming a piece of existence.
4,000 years from now people be looking back on us as ancient just like we look back at ancient Egypt.
The difference is MUCH more than that
For now people think in thousands of years we will reach type 2+ civilization
Type 1 civilization is 1000 times stronger than us. Type 2 is millions of times stronger than 1
Or in a hundred years.
Nobody will be there in 4000 years it will be like Mars

You can also move bricks using "Magnetic Field" too. Build a magnetize bracket around the brick, the bracket has to be removeable for the next use and it must have a locking device to lock the brick for transportation. Then build a staff with a magnetic sphere ball on the top end, the staff need to have a switch to turn on and off the magnetic field. Surround the brick with 10 to 15 people depending the size of the brick (each person must have he/her own staff for this operation). The group have to work in unison to move the brick in position and turn off the magnetic to drop the brick in place. The key is "Magnetic field" and you can do move the brick with so many methods.

What we must understand about reaching those higher levels of civilization isn't so much having the technology to make it happen. It would be needing the resources to make such a thing possible. That's where the endeavor becomes inherently less ideal. Because then we'd have to siphon from other planets resources in order to achieve it. It's that "planet destroyer" scenario. We would become so fixated on achieving the next level that we would stop at nothing to achieve it. Because when you're that powerful there would be nothing to stop you. And what happens when we achieve the highest level known in the universe? That's a whole other level of power we couldn't even fathom. Enough to create or destroy universes themselves
Sooooo... just a whole bunch of instant gratification
A big problem with a Dyson sphere, would be heat build-up. Currently, a great part of the sun's energy goes away from the earth. When all the heat is trapped inside the sphere, there must be an improbably large heat extraction ability to remove the excess heat.
I believe that's why a Dyson ring or rings is a popular idea...at least from what I've read. And it may be called something else, but I think that's what its called
The heat is part of the energy a Dyson sphere could absorb and convert into a useable energy form. Its similar, like a star size thermal heat pump kind of. Anyway, a civilization capable of building a Dyson sphere would have no problem overcoming the stars heat output

Despite the advances of science in our time, groups of people remain very diverse and this could be expected as a consequence of the natural tendency to disorder. Also the vast distances and lengths of time for travel and communication across even our galaxy would make it highly unlikely that any species would not diversify and, if possible, end up fighting the "daughter" species and civilizations. Any civilization, I think, is inevitably limited in time and space.
You won’t be alive to see it
We should invest our time, energy and resources to AI and robotics. We are not designed for space and further advancement. We should design a species that is.
The number of assumptions you make, perhaps subconsciously, is incredible. Starting with, you predicate the behavior of entirely different species groups based on our own... which is... never successful, its been tried by the West in comprehending other cultures here on earth, and trust me, it has failed. You then presume that another species civilization would PERMIT diversity in its population and that such diversity, or even rebellion against the accepted order is even possible for all species groups... which we know from animal models, and insect models, it isn't. We see diversity as desirable, how exactly do you know they do? How do you know that they do not have better conflict resolution than we do - and therefore that diversity doesn't effect cohesion? You presume a similar psychological mindset - based on what exactly? In fact, the implied assumptions in your brief post are far more unlikely to all be true than the type of Super Civilization that the author of the piece is suggesting.
I believe that Ray Kurzweil has the correct answer to the Fermi paradox.
Either the advanced aliens don't want to meet us, or more logically, they don't exist.
So because our species are filled with morons, all alien species are as well. Damn. No hubris there. What makes you think they’d have developed the same way we did?
The world is working hard to get to Type 1 civilization and USA is already ahead with Type 3 and 4 Diabetes🙄
🤣🤣🤣
And sooner or later, Team USA will achieve beyond 3 & 4, which is a god-like DIABETES or OMEGA-DIABETES! LMFAO lol 😆

I'd like to imagine type 3 civilization people would stop at a local star harnessing station to refill their ship power
We're still too primitive to know the omnipotent type of civilization.
You don’t need to build a fusion device… we have one in our sun.
We just need to learn to harvest the vast amount of energy it releases.
Lol good luck. We are thousands of years away from even feasibly harnessing any potentially "useful" amount of energy from the sun.
We do know solar panels 🎉
There’s a chance AI could propel itself extremely fast towards becoming a higher type civilization. The growth wouldn’t be non linear and it would move at an astounding rate forward. Just a guess. I have no science to back this up.
AI singularity
Great point.
@@thejellybeangamer3284you mean "technological singularity"?
@@nebula8558 maybe. An AI singularity could be an AI level 3 recreating other versions of itself. It could also create very powerful AI level 2’s.
From level 2-3 is the singularity
Then we're going be their slaves
Glad Jupiter Ascending made it in there. 😂
The only level of civilization we could conceivably identify from our current home (Earth) is one progressing from Type II to Type III. At first it starts with a single star completely blacked out, all of its energy absorbed and used. As the civilization expands throughout its own galaxy, more stars flicker and vanish from sight. Eventually, all of the stars in the distant galaxy have vanished, harnessed by the civilization to fuel their technology and advancement.
The Indian culture has a ancient battle of the gods, or good and evil. I saw it on ancient aliens. They say aliens, but it could have been warring factions of an advanced civilization who destroyed itself.
😲🤔

The fact that they hide what they DO know is hindering our development tremendously.
Whoever unlocks the keys to understanding these technologies is not going to come from some math wiz at MIT, but from some guy that’s playing video games and has weird ideas that aren’t produced from conventional academic sciences.
If a police officer can develop a vehicle that is powered by water, a cashier at a grocery store could accidentally stumble across a non conventional way to magnetize a stone or create an electric current that runs through air.
The people that are thinking so far outside of the box and unknown to universities , that would utterly fail on a math test are going to be the ones that can reverse engineer an ancient machine found at an archeological dig site.
I’m so glad I won’t be alive if that civilization was to happen. I hate thinking too deep in the future that’s scary
Thanks for tell me we are not capable of building a Dyson sphere yet. I didn’t know that. Really… thanks for clarifying.
"Building a Dyson sphere would require an enormous amount of energy and materials, and is not something we are currently capable of as a civilization". I love how this guys figures out the most complicated things. He also explains that type 3 civilizations are more powerful than type 2 civilizations, which are again more powerful than type 1 civilizations!
Why watch the video if you’re just gonna come out with some egotistical cynical view as this? What was its purpose? Of commenting? Did you think you’d get some outstanding ovation?
I think a Dyson Sphere would hurt and disrupt the inner and outer planets within the solar system. They need a specific and delicate balance of the sun's light. A Dyson Sphere would block all of that.
Just watched an hour of ordinary Tiktok content just for research purposes. We're a type -5 civilisation, that's for sure. The fact that we can walk upright while talking is a goddamn miracle
the stuff that we have now even our smart phones are impossible to think of just 100 years back, what more for thousands of years?
That first minute had D&D Vibes
The secrets of advanced civilization is hidden away inside the Grand Canyon?
Well its sad to think that with the way the world is heading at the moment our civilisation score is proabably going backwards
Not even a type 1:(
Bro sounds like a templar at the end
Don't need any type eight civilization.
What we need are love, friendship, peace and happines.
No poverty, no injustice, no egoism, no deception, no cheating, no infidelity, no sickness, no violence, no war
with war and digression sending us back decades sometimes.. imagine no world wars and never a nuke
We have but ppl won't admit do yet maybe they'll share ideas about living in space
A Dyson sphere would need more material than all of the mass in our solar system.
What if our moon is one of those Dyson balls
Nothing is new under the sun
How do they know that that kind of technology is even possible 🤔?
I would like to think that everything we can imagine is possible.
@donaldduck830 if only 🤗 I do know of quite a few things offhand that are impossible in this world anyways 😉
All the advanced technology that is being used today started with nothing but imagination.
@@randomgreyalien4835 95% of it didn't work, but we learned that and carried on to the next dream 🤗
Of course, not everything would work. They didn't have a basis for those things; it was just pure speculation and thousands of trials and errors.@@simonallan9941
One of the best videos I’ve ever seen
While Dyson Spheres may seem like a great idea to most, what I see is if you're taking away all the different types of energy produced by a star, wouldn't that basically kill a solar system? I would think that the Dyson Sphere would take away/block the different types of energy produced by the star from the rest of the Solar System. One of the types of energy would be the amount of gravity the planets experience and thereby taking the planets out of their natural orbital path. OFC that could be a good or bad thing depending on the final outcome. WHEW!! All this thinking is giving me a headache! ;) LOL
Dyson rings maybe
You raise a very good point
But they do it in a different solar system that where they live
@@kingsplinter8629exactly, pick a lone star and you eliminate that problem
thats not how gravity works.. a dyson sphere would not "block" gravity..
