in my opinion India should go for 36 Rafale and 36 SU57 in first phase with follow on of equal quantity with advanced feature and technology in next phase 3 years with full ToT and made in India. It will be of great benefit to both France and Russia as it will leverage their technology, sustain their supply chain and also meet their export orders
    win-win for all

Depending on HAL is a waste of valuable time... They always keep extending the deadline as well as claiming what they cant achieve. Project must be handed over to private companies and they will get the job done on time provided government funding reaches them on time...

Imagine they are talking about 4th gen Tejas 2 production starting from 2035. By that time the world will have 6th gen aircraft. I mean what's even the point?
Until we're solely dependent upon the HAL, there's no hope. Multiple big private sectors need to be evolved if we hope to start being independent.

India should not trust western weaponry and it should go accelerating Indian AMCA with full throttle.
