Indians are still in a delusion of Russian stuff even if Russian military junks are beaten really hard in the current Russian invasion of Ukraine. First of all, Russia didn't really want to help India with advanced military technologies, put in another words, Russia shared its military technologies with India with reservation. A couple of typical examples: Case 1: Sukhoi/HAL FGFA program where Russia refused to share the most 'advanced" technologies being used on this so-called 5th gen fighter, and this is one of major reasons why India withdrew from the program; Case 2: T-90 tanks. Russia gave India out of date technologies and therefore, when India began to develop its advanced Arjun tanks, it had to get help from the West for the tank engine and transmission etc. Case 3: RD-33 aircraft engine. HAL has been producing this Russia for many years, but when it comes to LCA tejas program, India can't utilize this expertise and equip the LCA with RD-33, rather than use American F404 engines. Even with JF-17 fighter that was co-developed by China-Pakistan, this Russia engine is available. Pakistan is not a good friend of Russia as India, but it can use that engine. Is that ironic for your Indians? At last but not least, when you always complain about the West, especially the US about their reluctance of sharing a lot of advanced military technologies, do your Indians even consider that India is not any West county's reliable and trusted ally? India is always trying to stick to its obsolete non-alignment policy, then, when you are always sitting on the fence, no one is going to help as good friends do with each other. Remember, Indians, there's no free lunch in the world!

In terms of developing advanced military equipment, Chinese example is not a good one at all for India to learn and copy. The reason is very simple, that is: At the cost of Chinese people's living standards, Chinese government concentrated astronomical amounts of resources for its defence industry. And thus, the real expenditures of China's defence budget are at 3-5 times of its published ones. Why do I know this? Because I used to be an insider of Chinese military system for many years. Also, to be self-sufficient is not a good way for a democratic country like India where the Governments cannot control everything like what China's authoritarian regime does. Just look at the modern chip making business, you can see that China is met with fiasco after it spent more than 1 trillion US dollars and longer than 10 years to try to get independent on advanced chip making technologies. From another anger, why do all the West countries not emphasize being self-sufficient on everything, rather than a free market mechanism where everything can be resolved with cooperation's. Having that being said, after China joined WTO, it not only defaulted on all the promises it made before, but used all kinds of unfair and even pirate practices in the world markets to intentionally defeat its competitors and then weaponized their global market shares against anyone that can say no to them. At last, India, wake up, as a top democracy in the world, India needs to distance itself from China, Russia, Iran and come into the West family. That's the only way to solve India's all kinds of issues in a fundamental way.

Why these defense analysts compared the Rafel and F-15. Rafel already inducted and we pay that amount for 13 another Indian specific enhancents which will not offered in MMRCA under UPA Govt. And further we dont need total 116 or 126 of rafel, we just go with 36+36 by phase wise i.e. F4 and F5 standards with G2G deal. With this our Air force had atleast 6 squadrons of Rafel. Already Eco system of Rafel established and it will be useful for Mirage jets also. And France is a long term Reliable defense Partner, USA is not a reliable one to India. The intent of the MRFA project is to quickly close the gap in the airforce squadron strength. The already conceived super Sukhoi project will fructify only in a decade from now.
