BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 Review

- In this video I review my BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2. I explain what tires I would chose over again if I had to. There’s little argument that the previous BFG TA KO is a quality all-terrain tire that is among the better models in its class. But this new version has taken an already good tire and turned it into something even better.

Great honesty review mate. 👍
I truly enjoyed watching this video, keep it up 👍
Thank you, I will!
I just got KO2’s on my truck. They gip everything! Best tires I’ve ever bought
I can’t imagine buying anything else
What psi you guys running?
Worth the money you reckon?
@@1PITIFULDUDE 35 winter 40 summer
I just got them on my truck & they suggested 35psi& I thought that wasn’t going to be enough air, but it is & they are so smooth, grippy & beefy! They look badass too!
I’m on my second set of KO2 and I’m the same..love the look, snow capability,Or going around construction site feels pretty safe
They are a good tire.
My favorite gripping all terrain tires in winter/wet/slush conditions is the Firestone XT. Very quiet and somewhat lightweight as well. The reason I got rid of them, the only reason is they didn’t steer well. They were squirmy in the corners and felt squishy even for an E rated size. BFG just seems to be good at everything, not the best at everything, just good. Does exactly what’s marketed for
I just bought the k02 up here in Washington state for 275/65/20 and the total was 1850 and that’s at Costco with 115.00 off. They really are the best tire out there. I’ll pay the money
geez, thats a lot. I just paid 1660 out the door here in michigan for a set of four
Very good video. Thank you.
I have KO2's on my trailblazer and the tires are very good on snow! It has a very good traction on snow and I have them for years and they last a long time. Right now I'm trying to purchase some KO2's on my GMC YUKON too with white wall letters. Great tires! 👍
What has been your experience driving on wet roads?
On my second set of KO2's right around 35 40,000 miles both sets very slippery on wet roads hope KO3's take care of that problem
What vehicle are they on and what psi do you set them at cold?
2016 f150 about 34lbs
What load range are yours?
Reason I ask is:
I held off from buying KO2's because of the reviewers who reported poor wet traction. My brother bought a set and the installer put them at the BF Goodrich recommended psi of 48lbs. My brother's Xterra would hookup great on wet roads. So I got a set of 265/75r16 E1's and had the installer put them at 44 psi (oem tire door sticker is 35 psi) for my 4500lb Frontier long bed king cab. They hook up on wet grass on slopes in two wheel drive at the farm, as where the OEM Goodyears and a set of all weather Firestones had to be put into 4wd. Leaving the installer in the pouring rain was perfect and I was floored by how much traction I got under moderate accel. BF Goodrich was adamant that the tires need to be put at their recommended pressures for the load range of the tire. @@michaelward8304
Marketplace is always a good place to look I found a set of basically new 275/65R20's for $1k CAD after maybe a month of searching. Just gotta be patient :)
Yeah but you can't beat costco's unlimited tire rotation, flat repair and also 5 year warranty included.
I jus ordered a set of these for my 2012 Sequoia. Why do there seem to be mixed reviews on these? I’ve seen other reviews that say they’re not the best in snow. Seems like the older the less favorable reviews are older so not sure if they’ve made improvements to the tires since then.
I have 84,000 miles on my 285/70/17 ko/2's and am ordering a new set today (5th set ive owned, and i am 100% never changing to a different tire)
The ONLY thing better than these is the original BFG all-terrain's i use to buy for my tacoma, that they no longer make!
Ive pulled bolts, nails, screws out of the tread without having to repair them, no leaks.
Ive scuffed the sidewalls on extreme trail rides and never had a gash/roll off/cut that caused concern.
I run these on 2 vehicles: 2000 jeep xj and a 2003 toyota sequoia, both are modified for off-road use.
The Best bf goodrich k02 saludos de El Salvador 503😊
👍🏻
does it work for a Jeep Patriot 2017? not sure if it can fit even if not lifted. My current tires are:
BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK WS90 96T 1180 215/60R17, TY!
Mine won’t but I’m sure they make your size
I went to costco paid $920 with install good shat
I wish that they would make the white lettering over the 18 inch size, my 20s only come in. Black wall. Have been running these since I got my truck back in 14
Mine are almost whisper quiet, but I run the stock tire size for my f350..no tread noise,
They don’t have white lettering? Mine has black on one side and white on the other. Most dealers install the black side out.
@@douglaslawncare2843nope. black wall both sides: was told it is 18 inch and below that get the white letters
What size do you have ?
I bought a set today for my Toyota Tacoma. 1350 is what I paid for a smaller tire than you bought last year. Gotta love inflation.
😮
My truck is 2wd do you thank these tries will help me get better traction like will they help with the lack of 4 wheel drive
They will definitely help you get better traction but it’s not going to compare to a 4x4 truck. Especially in the winter.
You need weight in the bed of the truck. Otherwise you ain't going anywhere. I just put new good years on mine and she still slips in wet grass and gravel 🤣
Watch my video on TrueTrack I’m in the snow in a 2 wheel drive f150 short bed. You’ll be impressed. My Gladiator has BFG KO2’s and I’m lifting my 2 wheel drive XJ to put 31x10.50 15 KO2’s on it. Will also install Detroit true track in it. Only way to go !!!
How many miles did you get on previous tires? You said rated 50k mile warranty. Thanks
Not sure the exact amount of miles but I believe it was over 50k miles. I pushed the old tires to the limit!
what's "T/A" for? Are all BFG Ko2 T/A?
I got rid of my KO2's after 30k miles on my FjCruiser. They were the worst tires I've ever owned, my wife spun out twice in the rain and refused to drive in the rain. I also had hydroplaning, front end push, and horrible snow traction from the day they were installed. Maybe I got a defective set but I will never buy a BFG product again. I bought Bridgestone Dueler a/t Revo 3's and they are night and day better in every catagory.
So you can still get the white lettering?
It has white lettering on one side of the tire and blacked out lettering on the other side. You can install it whichever way you would like. My previous set was all blacked out, but this time I turned them around to have the white lettering on the outside. It really just depends on which you’re going for.
Multiple people have asked what size tires these are. Ive watched the entire video and it is not shown.
Does it matter? Each vehicle will have a different sized tire depending on what rims you have. They make multiple sizes in this tire lineup.
@@douglaslawncare2843 does it matter? Idk maybe. If someone is trying to compare sizes for their own vehicle. Oh well, who knew this kind of information would be so private.
Did you color the white letters on?
No
I just wish mine have the white letters
They probably do. Most people put them on the inside.
I paid less than that for 5 of them this past summer.
Mine are an odd size.
Not sure as of yet about the ice and snow but on wet roads I’m not impressed with this tie
What size are those tires?
Not sure.
@@douglaslawncare2843it’s written on he side man
Three peaks I think
Safety has no price
In my size(35x12.5/20) they are over $2k :/
Thats expensive
@@douglaslawncare2843 yes, basically any tire in that category is over $2k now for a set of 4. That's why making a decision on one brand over another makes it super tough.
@Ozai my buddy just bought 35 bfg tires and it cost him over 3k. Granted they were 12.50 wide on a 16" rim 🤣🤣

Ever think you’d gain a subscriber talkin about your tires?
Gained 17 from this video.
@@douglaslawncare2843 well whooptie fuckin doo
Appreciate the work!
And those white letters! Be careful out there!
They help with stability. 😏
Trucks; 40k to 70k plus, yes buy the best tires.
Your intro is annoyingly loud compared to how quiet your videos are
