My husband wants just my crochet items and lights on our Christmas tree this yr! I already made some of your mini hats so oh my now im so excited to make these!!! Thank you so much!!!!
YES!!!! Jayda this makes my heart happy. Everything I have crocheted from your tutorials have brought so much joy to me. I thank you again for sharing all you great tutorials.
Jayda - thank you! This made me very nostalgic. When I was a child, my mom made mini-mittens like these to hang on the tree. I can't wait to show her what I've made!! I look forward to watching more of your videos, you were so clear with the instructions!!
I made these and the mini beanie hats and put them on the gift bags of the gifts my daughter got for her teachers and they loved them . I made a few and hung them on my tree and ended up giving them away to family and friends that noticed them on my tree. I will make more for next year and I'm keeping some for myself this time. Lol thank you Jayda. I also made the frizbee I'm going to give it to my daughter in her Easter basket this year.
Hi Jada. You are just amazing. I hope a mini pair of socks are on the way. They are so beautiful for the tree. Lovely thank you. Have to make a dozen pairs of those to go with the gift tags. Amazing idea
OMG these are so stinking cute! I have been making little mini ornaments, those little hats you made , a little santa hat & that little bell you made. I am so gonna make some of these. Thank you!
Just mad my second mitten!!! I just made one to hand on the tree. I sewed on two little red bells and it looks adorable!!!! Love them! Thanks for such a great tutorial!
Hi Jayda, these are so cute just welcomed another grandchild (premie) this will make a cute gift. I will be making a few of these in different colors. Thank you for a great 💡.
Jayda this was by far one of the quick and easy tutorial I see I made one but plan on crocheting more thank you 😊ps having lots of fun with your tutorial’s
Thank you! I'm a beginning crocheter and these are genius...I'm learning basics and making cute and impressive ornaments. I know several of my family members and friends are going to love getting these. You're the best!
Super cute I am in love with your little cutie stuffs I will be currently doing a CCA at the school I’ll be running Crocheting like yours. They will surely enjoy and love it! Thank you for uploading and teaching us how to make it.
I've just now branching out to other things other then Afghans. The first mitten the thumb is a bit goofy. Needless to say laid it aside for awhile then came back to make the mate for that mitten yesterday. I had to use stich markers when I began doing the in the rounds because I was loosing track of the rows. Do have to say this mitten was an improvement over the first one. So going to see if I can do another set for the other cap I have on the tree. Perhaps I'll finish the little sweater I have started have one side done.
Hi Becky! I still have issues making identical twins of anything and I've been knitting and crocheting mittens for 30 years now 🤣 Don't worry, this stuff DOES get better with some practice 😁
i love your channel, i had been thinking of trying crochet (i knit...kind of a newb still though)...when i came across your channel it gave me the push to jump into crochet. I love it! the loops dont fall off the needles & fall way down..its faster (which is helping me work through my yarn stash faster finally!) ! I love knitting & the look of knitwear but crochet is so much better for quick gifts or to satisfy an 'instant gratification' craving ;). you & the channel style/music reminds me of kid shows i used to watch in the early 80s. that's not a criticism, i LOVE it! so happy & upbeat :D i keep expecting Polkaroo to appear ;) Thanks for everything Jayda, for your smile, positivity & great ideas & videos. Hugs from BC :)
Jayda I LOVE your channel!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us❣️ I appreciate your time and enjoy your tutorials!! Merry Christmas and blessed New Year❣️
Hi Jayda - great video as usual thank you!!! Can you show us what you hold your yarn on whilst you work as it looks really comfortable how you do it (mine ends up all over the place!)
Hi Julie, I tend to pull my yarn from the centre of the skein so that it doesn't jump about and get tangled (it's just lying on the table next to me). If it's in a ball, I'll put it in a bowl so it rolls around in that and stays under control!
Hi Jayda! These mini ornaments are adorable!! Can you tell us what that pretty yellow & orange yarn is that you are using, please? Happy holidays everyone!
Thank you Jayda for another cute tutorial. I can't wait to see what else do you create for your outdoor clothing Christmas ornaments. 😁👍❤ I sent you a picture through your Instagram
Bwahahahaha I can't crochet to save my life, but I made a little baby mitten. Only had #3 yarn and a 3.5 hook. It was itty bitty. OMG the thumb was the hardest part.
Hello I am the 5th Comments :D I am finally early. Anyways , I love your projects and I make most of them if I have the yarn. You're a great teacher and I will always watch you as an inspirator :)
Hi! If you make these in light weight yarn (size 3 maybe) and a smaller hook (a size 3.50 mm perhaps) they would probably fit an 18" doll, but thank you for the suggestion!
Hi Betty, wool needles typically come in sets of 3, ours are by H A Kidd and I bought them decades ago in a craft store :) We did a video on them and all the places you can find them here: ruclips.net/video/0EWXaWWffxc/видео.html
Hi Kookie, I agree with Julia, a single initial might be easier to add :) You can just embroider it using a different coloured yarn. Nothing tricky, just straight lines will do :)
Years ago in one of the Crochet magazines there was a pattern for a miniature hat and mittens lapel pin. I lost the pattern, unfortunately. I can't find a replacement for it anywhere. Thanks so much, Jayda!
To make it easier to do the thumb, you could lower the needle one size.... hope that helps someone. I love these, and going to make a big pair for me. lol
Thank you for this cute project will be giving as gifts this holiday.
You’re welcome 😊 Thank you for watching!

Would these be good for dolls ?-id love you to do some patterns for 18 inch dolls ...even simple hats
Hi! If you make these in light weight yarn (size 3 maybe) and a smaller hook (a size 3.50 mm perhaps) they would probably fit an 18" doll, but thank you for the suggestion!
This is so cool, thank you! ☺️🇷🇺

Where did you purchase your needle? Love how easy it is to thread.
Hi Betty, wool needles typically come in sets of 3, ours are by H A Kidd and I bought them decades ago in a craft store :) We did a video on them and all the places you can find them here: ruclips.net/video/0EWXaWWffxc/видео.html
These are awesome. Anyone have any idea on how I can put names on them. I’d like to personalize these for each of my kids and grandkids.
Maybe just an Initial name might not fit
Hi Kookie, I agree with Julia, a single initial might be easier to add :) You can just embroider it using a different coloured yarn. Nothing tricky, just straight lines will do :)
Or you can use embroidery thread in a contrasting color🤔. Maybe 4 strands?🤔 in a cross stitch might work.
Years ago in one of the Crochet magazines there was a pattern for a miniature hat and mittens lapel pin. I lost the pattern, unfortunately. I can't find a replacement for it anywhere.
Thanks so much, Jayda!
Hi Pamela, what a cute idea: SUPER mini mittens!

Hi jayda. Cute mitten ornaments. Do you have a pattern for baby boxing gloves and boxing trunks for my baby grandson to be????
Hi Adrianna, how cute! Congratulations on the new addition to your family :)
Jayda InStitches do have a pattern for baby boxing gloves and boxing trunks? Thanks for your good wishes
I do a lot of crochet for 18 dolls and these would be a perfect fit for them.
How would I change thumb placement for the R/L hand?
Thanks
Hi Linda, there's no l/r for this pattern, just the way you fold it :)
So cute ❤️. Hey, Jayda, can I use these for a great nephew to be born soon ?
Baby mittens are best made without a thumb :)
Hi Jady do you know how to make miniature scarf to go with the hat and the mittens ornament
Hi Kathyrn, Thank you for the suggestion :)
To make it easier to do the thumb, you could lower the needle one size.... hope that helps someone. I love these, and going to make a big pair for me. lol
Hi Lily, great suggestion, thank you for sharing!
